im down with any christmas fun the ag has. we dont celebrate christmas in my house anymore. at least not the last few years. last year my christmas morning "surprise" was a pack of smokes and some fuzzy purple socks.
i lost the socks and smoked the smokes. crying

Thanks for your replies so far, guys! Since not many people have been in here to sound off though, I think I'm just going to make an executive decision. While I'd really like to do the theme thing (it has soooo many possibilities for hilarity), I think for Christmas we'll just stick to what we did last year, however I'm considering putting together a theme-gift event later in the year...perhaps for Gaia's birthday? As for Secret Santa, I might tweak it a little but we'll see. I'll have to think about it a little more before I'll ask you guys before deciding.
But anyway, most people who have posted here have been okay with a 5k - 15k price range. That's totally fine with me. I'm just wondering and worrying about the other people who haven't said anything yet...I want this to be something we all can participate in if we want to, so the price range has to fit for everyone who wants to join.
I'm really hoping some other people will head on in here and tell me what they think about the price range. *hint hint, nudge nudge*
Mala: That would be great if you could help out with the lotto prize. I'll be contributing quite a bit myself, so between the two of us we could make it pretty worthwhile. I'd love to see a Holiday Challenge from you too. That was so much fun last year!! heart
Pi: I'd be up for an avatar contest. I almost feel like the more events we have, the better. It's just so fun that way!! 4laugh

I like the 5-15 limit and lottery. I think we should get our resident economy destroyer expert, Shouj, to give a conversion rate for what Gaia Cash equals, since that gives a better idea when it comes to giving store goodies too.

Oooh, good idea! I heard a while back that it was something like 60 gold for every 1 cash, but I could definitely be wrong, so it'd be best to ask someone who knows better... 3nodding

Depends on what the cash item is. $.49 gets you 10k if you get an OMG box and sell it. On the other hand, $.49 can get the scarves which only go for 6-7k...so it just depends on the item. Other things like skeletons are 3k so spending $1.49 would be very pointless when you can get 30k out of that.
