Brimstone, who was having a terrible lot of trouble keeping himself under control, coughed, and almost sputtered in his dismay at his lack of self control in the face of Kindle's teasing. "No," he said, his voice slightly choked. "You're quite grown up. Believe me." I've noticed. Noticed perhaps a little too much. Damn it, she was a foal when last they'd met... how could he be thinking of her this way? Kindle, with her lovely spectrum hair, that flowed from almost yellow to orange to black... her charcoal grey coat that was set off stunningly by the patterns that graced it? The flames that licked at her legs? How could he be thinking those thoughts? "The truth is that I am, well, a lonely older stallion, and you're quite charming. More charming than I can handle, I think." And, he was fairly certain, she didn't know what she was doing. She was so inexperienced. He felt that by simply being there he was taking advantage of her. Certainly he was for having such wicked thoughts. "But you were speaking of your brother?" He grabbed at the topic, clinging to it as though it held the key to salvation. Salvation from his own private hell in which he was tormented with little, intangible glimpses of heaven that could be, but never should be.

Her ears perked and her eyes widened at his opposition to her question. She'd thought she was acting rather foalish... but did he see her in a different light? Was she truly able to come across as an adult, at last? And to one of the most important figures in her life, no less! Though she dare never admit it, the idea made her rather giddy, and put a new bounce to her step, so to speak. There was no way to hide the grin spread wide across her face, though her feelings betrayed her and she remained too shy to meet his gaze once more. As outspoken as she was on most occasions, finally seeming to have won the approval from the stallion who she'd essentially held a crush for after all this time... well, it was a little difficult to remain so outspoken, to say the least!
Glancing towards the deeper section of the woods, she nearly missed part of his comment. Lonely? She knew of lonely... but was his lonely, the same kind she'd experienced? Her head turned back, though her eyes remained active, as they darted around, anywhere, as long as they did not fall to rest on his handsome face. More charming than.. than he could handle? Was that some nice way of letting her down, of showing disapproval?
"What do you mean?" she asked, naïve to the interpretation of his wording. "I.. I can be less charming, if you'd like for me to be!" Oh God, what was she saying? Such prattle, where was her mind to censor herself when she needed it? "And you're not that much older than me, Mist- Brimstone! You said it yourself, I've grown up! Are you trying to say you don't like me?"
She winced as she finally collected herself to the point where she'd successfully shut her mouth. It was too late, the damage was done, and it was no doubt far more than obvious as to how she saw him. Her head turned away from the taller being, and she nodded. "Yes... Smolder. Brother Smolder." Her words were there, but her feet no longer felt like moving in search of the younger brother, but instead, she held her breath in anticipation to the impending response her heart and ears both wanted to hear, and were fearful to hear.

"Not at all. In fact... I like you a good deal more than I should, Miss Kindle. Truly. I am old enough to be your father, if not your grandfather, and as such I should be more than capable of controlling myself. But you seem to bring out the rake in me, and I can't quite help my response. I really should. You're a good deal younger than I am, and it is entirely inappropriate that I have such a strong response to innocent flirtations. You've probably no notion of how you effect me, so it's really not fair to you. I feel that I am taking advantage of your naivety." That charming innocence about her that suggested that she'd never been loved by a stallion before, or possibly by anyone at all. No. Those were bad thoughts. He needed to not think those thoughts. "It is horribly dastardly of me, sweetheart, and I shouldn't. I may be a dark stallion in many ways, but this should not be one of them." Damn it all. He was so terribly lonely. Yet it was even more wretched to think of what he might do to her developing young personality, her ego. Would he warp her in some way that she did not need to be warped? "You should continue to behave however you'd like to." It was him who needed to change. He had, unfortunately, almost completely forgotten Smolder.

Her ears flattened as she heard his response, slightly crestfallen, but far too stubborn to accept defeat. After all, he hadn't made mention that it was an entirely hopeless cause and push her away. He merely... obviously needed a little push to convince him that everything would be alright. And she was more than enough mare to attempt that push!
Feeling a bit mischevious, and more determined than ever (as she'd clearly come to terms with the fact her crush over this stallion still remained strong, if not stronger, than ever before), she took a step forward, noticing the dilemma evident across his face. "What if I decide I like older stallions, hm?" Her flames lapped at her legs, sparking with the inner excitement as she did her best to bring out whatever tease in her she could muster. "Are you really going to push me away, Mister Brimstone, after how I've told you I so badly wanted to be dark? I think, if anything, this would be such a good example of a lesson I could learn!"
She hesitated, then leaned forward to give his cheek a gentle n**. There. She would prove that she was mare enough for him! If he thought he was being inappropriate, well, she would be inappropriate right back at him, and he could deal with that!

A little shudder went through him as his self control nearly snapped in two. "Kindle," Brimstone started, his voice low and rough with emotion,"-don't tempt me. Please, please don't tempt me. I am not as gentle, or as... careful as you deserve. And I have far too much lust. A young lady like you, well, you should be wooed, treated like the fine creature that you are. I'm not like that." And damn it, if she thought about it, she'd know that. "I have been alone too long to be anything but the wretched rake I am. If you press me, I will go out of my way to seduce you, and that would be taking advantage." He glanced down into her red eyes, his rather reptilian pupils slightly dilated. "Understand that I mean this in the best possible way. Your sire wouldn't thank me if I trod the path that you are very much tempting me to." And she wouldn't thank him, when she woke up out of whatever fog she was in. For clearly, she wasn't thinking... clearly. "This would be no kind of lesson, darling. I am no kind of teacher."

"Tempt you?" she asked innocently, amused and slightly impressed with herself at her bold actions. "But Mister Brimstone.. you told me I could behave however I wanted to!" Faking a small pout, she sidled up next to him, secretly enjoying the feel of the stronger male's body pressed against hers as she leaned and sighed. "Wooing is overrated. Besides, what's the point of wooing if you've already captured the heart you were attempting to woo? Seducing sounds so much more fun, truth be told."
A half giggle, half laugh, escaped her lips and she nuzzled against his shoulder. Her cheeks had once again grown to blushing at her brazen actions she'd never dared to even think of doing before. Stepping away from the older stallion, she once again displayed her faux sulking, knowing fully well she was (hopefully) sending him closer and closer to the edge. She didn't know exactly what was to come of this, what he was so fearful of, though she knew the basic... system of things, from the short lessons her mother had managed to teach her. It was an exhilarating feeling, holding so much power, it seemed, over another being. A being she knew, deep down, she wanted more than just approval from. "My Daddy knows I'm a grown mare. I can make my own decisions, though I thank you kindly for your concern over my father. I also know you would never treat a mare in a horrible manner, from the way you were talking earlier. I think.. you're just trying to be nice and you don't really want me. I mean, I already told you it was okay... so I guess you're just trying to turn me away as gently as you can. Is that what you're doing, Brimstone?"
She finally dared to turn back and meet his gaze, with her own determined stare, the sulk slowly turning upwards into an impish grin.

God help him. She was utterly ruthless in her attack, exploiting every weakness that she thought she could use to her advantage, and he couldn't help but admire her for it, and want her all the more. "You're not being fair, Kindle," he said hoarsely, his self control weakening by the minute. "Kindle, Miss Kindle, you know very well I want you. You've got eyes to see with... and... and damn it all, you're a damnably attractive female. An attractive, devious mare of my own kind. How could I help but desire you? It's not that, it isn't that at all. It's that you're so young, and I'm so much older, and you make me feel like the wicked, twisted stallion who gets mares right out of their baskets, almost." Nevermind that she was fully grown, and fully capable of making this choice. It was so very obvious how badly he wanted her, but that ought to have made her shy away. It didn't. "If I was going to turn you down gently, darling, I wouldn't be falling all over myself in the process." Wicked creature, tempting him like that, rubbing up against him so that her delicious scent was right there, where he couldn't avoid it. "Do you really want this? Do you?" Could she handle what she wanted?

She paused at his questioning, almost hesitant to respond. It was more than obvious as to how she was torturing him, and while she was having her fun tempting and teasing him... did she know what she was getting into, in doing all of this?
Yes, she decided, yes she did.
"There's nothing wrong with feeling a little wicked, though, Mister Brimstone," she reassured him, the adrenaline still coursing through her, the excitement still rising, "After all, that's one of the fun parts about being dark.. isn't it? Being able to take what you want, be as wicked as you'd like to be? I know I'd like to be able to feel a little wicked, but I can't exactly be so, without someone to teach me."
Her brother, unfortunately for his sake, had left her mind entirely, her new focus on her first and long awaited conquest. How she'd been able to manage as she had without tripping up or looking downright foolish, she didn't know, but she'd finally obtained the desire of her quarry, the stallion that had captivated her so much, for so long, as a foal. "Won't you teach me, Mister Brimstone?" came the innocent request, the younger mare taking a step back to gaze up at the older being, her lip daring to pout once more.

His self control was shot. His patience was at a minimum. "... Kindle." His voice was almost a growl now, that rough, that worn by the inner battle that he had just irrevocably lost. "Miss Kindle, you are ruthless. Utterly ruthless in your exploitation of my good nature, such as it is." With a little nudge, he led her off towards the stand of trees nearby, because like hell he was just going to seduce her in full view of anyone else who might happen to wander by. Or was it, be seduced by her? "I would be more than happy to teach you, for all that it might damn my already lost soul." If he was going to burn for this, he might as well enjoy every moment of it. Despairing, he muttered to himself,"Oh, I am gonna go to the special hell." His voice was scarcely loud enough for her to hear, as it was more an aside to himself, but he tugged at her hair teasingly, burying his muzzle in her mane and whispering just beside her ear. "This is your last chance to remain that pure, untouched thing you are, sweetheart. I suggest you take it, lest you end up in a more compromising situation than ever you could imagine."

His voice sent a shiver down her spine, a tingle she enjoyed very much so. She knew she'd won his battle of resistance, but her victory was short lived, as her joy turned into intrigue and excitement as she was gently herded over into another direction. Barely overhearing his muttering, she turned her head back to retaliate with a gentle n**, the shivers more frequent now, with every touch, every move he made. "You won't be going anywhere unless you take me with you, Mister Brimstone." Taking a step away, one eyebrow rose as she tossed a smile his way. "As for purity, well... who cares about being pure when there's so many sinful things one can indulge in?"
Letting off a small laugh, she darted forward, making her way in between the group of trees before them, the fire at her feet giving away her location as she paused to wait for him, partially hidden in the shadows of the night, and of the looming trees branches high up above their heads.
