She rolled her eyes at the colt. "I'm not going to believe a word you say. All you're doing is... Puffing hot air!" She'd heard that before... Her grandmother had said that her greatgrandfather was full of hot air. That's what this colt was too. Silly boys.
Snorting she turned away from him. "I don't have to listen to you anymore... You're going to be lonely forever."

Xiaodan looks affronted as he puffs his chest out even more. "Puffing hot air? where did you hear all of that stupid comments from? your stupid parents?" He says with scornful tone in his voice but he automatically looks around for either Zaicate or Shimshek before he stares at Zukai with a blank look.
"Just wait until I finally grow up to be big and strong.. YOU will be sorry that you crossed my path, Zukai." He almost tripped over his front legs as he tries to walk away but Zukai's comment hit it home for him and he spun around with fury flashing in his eyes. "I am NOT going to be lonely forever.. I will have lines of mares wanting to be with me and I already have family and a herd to care and love for me." He juts his chin out defiantly. But he couldn't help but to wonder if she is right about this.

Xiaodan pretty much forgot about the dirt around his rump and he narrows his eyes to slits at Zukai. "My family DO like me! They kept reminding me everyday that they love me!" The poor guy almost pouted because his ego is taking some serious beating from this girl. "Look..." He huffs as he glares at Zukai disdainfully. "lets just call it truce because I know you can't handle any more ego-beating" He tries not to look pissed off that he got knocked down few pegs.

"... I haven't taken an ego beating." She snorted softly. She didn't even know what an ego was, let alone how one could have it beaten... Especially by a boy like this. "Are you going to admit that I'm the bestest girl ever as part of this 'truce'?"

Xiaodan narrows his eyes at Zukai, feeling quite offended because he thought he dished out his best insults or condescending comments but apparently it didn't work with this girl. He kicks a small pebble with his perfectly sanded hoof while struggling with something within his heart. He knows that Zukai could be his precious sister's rival in everything. "Well.... ok.. I guess.." He sighs in defeat before he glares at her. "You are the bestest girl ever BUT not better than my sister and mother!" He exclaims loudly.

She pondered that for a moment before giving her small head a light toss, grinning. She could settle for that... After all, family was a very important thing. "Since you've admitted that we can call it a truce..." That said she looked towards the forest. "It's getting late. I bet my family misses me..."

Xiaodan smiles slightly as he could see that she can be a good friend to him if they want to be. "Ok.. truce." He reluctantly says as he glances at now drying mud. "I guess so. See you later... I think?" He hesitantly says as he looks around almost frantically for clean and pristine water so he could clean himself up. "um.. do you know where a river is?" He hurriedly says as he tries to look all regal-like.

She tilted her head in the direction she believed it to be. "'Cause it's not by the lake but it leads to the lake... And that's where Mama says her family lives."

Xiaodan just stares at Zukai before he chuckles slightly. "We will have to see about that, Zukai." He says with an amused grin on his face before he glances in the direction where the filly tilted her head in. "All right.. thank you again! Well.. I guess I will see you later uh?" He grins crookedly at Zukai and trotted in the direction of the river hurriedly because he hates the feeling of the mud caking around his rump.

"Til we meet again!" She called after him, trying not to laugh as she turned, making her way back to where she was sure her mother, father and sister would be waiting for her to return so that she could tell them all about her adventures.
