"Just try and make sure to not make the same unwise err in decisions again, yes?" Dismay had lazily suggested in support of Torment's boring drone on how her hesitance in making a decision caused such a terrible future, etcetera or whatever else she had been talking about--it had most likely something to do with putting a damper on Dismay's own existence, but, "Trivialities... like a drama unfolding upon itself," she managed to say out loud, though by this time her sister should have been out of hearing to catch that.

Dismay felt the pounding hooves against the ground towards her, to her surprise, and looked back just in time for Torment's leap to the skies. She grimaced at the sight--it was almost like a big fat bird in the sky waiting to fall down by a mere throw of a rock, or any object would have done, really.

A sigh came as the naturally expected insult did, and Dismay countered, "At least I am well-abled to hunt and eat often for myself, I do offer pity that you haven't been able to feed well yourself, though," and she began her own beating wings, spreading them to their full extent, and stepping into the small wind she caught that let her drift into the air like her sister. While Torment was stationed higher, Dismay kept a lower distance--a nice medium level between her sister and the ground. She couldn't bother wondering how Torment's wings could give her an advantage, as she couldn't see past their frail, fluffy appearance, and her sister's form in the sky must have been a dead giveaway shadow for a majority of the creatures roaming the grounds.

"How does a large, ugly bird hunt like this?" Dismay mused to herself, giving no concern at whether Torment caught that or not. While she kept on eye on her sister, she couldn't help but feel... a little bond, now that she was in the air with her, and it sickened her so much that it made her waver in the air, but just slightly. It wasn't like the two sisters were on a hunt together, Dismay was just in it for the measurements of skill!

"I feed myself quite enough," she haughtily replied, raising her head as she ignored the female flying lower than herself. She was certainly above her sister in her mind, so it was only suitable that she remain physically below her, just as well! "Just because I do not gorge myself silly like Mother and yourself do does not mean I am any less healthy than you are!"

As if to prove her point, she took a minor dive downwards towards her, hoping to throw off her younger sister's mid-air balance. She swooped upwards to regain her position once more, smirking as she did so. It was far too much fun to finally have a female to pick on, though she'd never reveal her enjoyment in any form aside from cruelty and disdain. Being raised alongside two brothers was difficult enough, but finally having a sister to taunt and tease as she had Taint was putting a spark of life back into her dull and dreary day.

"So, pray tell dear May," she called out to the female below, "What sort of creature are you hungering for? I'm sure with that enormous appetite you must have that you prefer some more... larger game, to keep your weight abnormally high?"

"Only the strongest survive, eh?" Dismay lazily replied, making it a point to watch her sister's every move.

Her concentration on Torment did not come without its benefits, for she had enough time to give a gentle swing of her wings away from her sister's offense, though she hadn't possibly been trying too hard to dodge, as she was just narrowly missed. She snorted at Torment's playful attack, associating the foolery with the lack of adeptness for the task at hand. If Torment gets closer one more time, she'd be in for a horny surprise, Dismay surmised.

"I do prefer larger game, Torment, or can you not see the beauty in challenges? Or I must be mistaken, you must not have possibly had experience with those types, hmm?" Dismay smiled silently, taking her eyes away from the large dark gray figure above and onto the fields. "Whatever you can handle, Torment..."

Dismay felt a yawn coming, and thought that this "game" the two were having was taking much longer than necessary. Perhaps Torment was stalling for time, resources... help? Surely Torment would have gotten down to business already if she had the skill for it. Then again, she was counting on their pathetic Plague to have the ability to teach others. Dismay shook her head in disappointment. Perhaps the surest way to attain higher skill was to train in solitude, not with a blind tutor.

"I suspect all Plague told you to do was to starve yourself? Do you wish for an accomplice, Torment?" she almost laughed as she inquired the second half of Torment.

"Patience, patience, my darling baby sister," she clucked her tongue, masking her annoyance. The little brat obviously failed to see the delight in the sport of hunting, and more than likely probably just killed to be able to gobble up the remains. "All in due time..."

It wasn't a surprise though, as Torment knew Dia was far from a patient creature. No doubt Dismay's personality was a direct result of her upbringing, which was quite the shame, given the potential the rest of her siblings and herself had received. Her attention left the other mare and began to focus on the land that spread out before them. It was exhilarating, flying with the wind against her face, knowing she was within mere feet of a competitor who'd likely kill her, if given the opportune moment. Down below on the ground, it didn't take long before her gaze fell upon a doe and her fawn grazing upon a lush meadow. Simple enough, and yet satisfying enough for both a kill and a feast.

Nodding her head in their direction, she called out again to her sister. "You up for the mother, or would you rather stick to the baby, as it's probably more fitting for your age range to handle!"

"Yes, old shriveled tormenting hag, you'd feel less old if you were with someone around your own age, I suspect?" Dismay laughed, and flicked her head impatiently towards the couple. "This is your challenge, it is up to you whether or not you want to raise the bar."

She paused, then realizing her fatal error. Why, she shouldn't be fighting with her sister at all. Hell, it finally dawned on her just how minuscule she really was compared to the awesomeness that was Torment. She could certainly learn a good share more from her big sister than she could from her mother (or any other mare, for that matter) since Torment was obviously far more experienced in every skills department known to horsekind.

"I want to be like you, Big Sissy," she finally sobbed, breaking down into tears at the onrush of emotions settling in. "Whyyyy must I have been raised the way I'd been raised?"
