Frowzen blinked at the attack as it clashed with his beam, managing to steadily cut through the energy itself, the beam diverting to either side of Bushimaru. Frowzen stepped back but had no time to get away "This can't be possible!" he said before being engulfed by a cloud of dust and debris as the attack struck him. After a short pause, the ice around the arena began to melt and the light in the sky faded out. Frowzen, though still alive, had been knocked unconscious by the attack.



There was a gust of freezing mist and Cryos was standing between the 2 fighters with his mic at the ready. "Wow, what a match! But it seems we have our winner. The first match victory goes to our resident samurai gardener, Bushimaru! In quite an upset for the second rank lieutenant....and I'll probably be one one who'll need to listen to him moaning about this when he wakes up...ah well, take him away..." Cryos said as a few lesser-demons rushed in to take Frowzen off the field for the next match Bushimaru Kupcake shall advance to the semi-finals to face the winner of the Tabris vs Kai match! stay tuned!!" Cryos said



"....Your not on TV you know....idiot..." Ararikku said to Cryos. "Good work, Bushimaru, though I still fail to understand your need to hold back...never the less, I do not question my subordinates preferences in battle, so long as they get the job done" he then addressed Bushimaru.

"GreEtinGs, anD WelcOm To the Aperture Science Enrichment Centre, suBjEct C1337" an odd computer voice said as Cryos awoke and looked up at the white ceiling, and then down at an odd looking gun "...hah?" Cryos scratched his head. He fired the gun at a wall, making a portal then again at another wall, making the portals exit "YOu aRe nOW IN possESioN oF tHe Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device WiTh iT yUO caN CReate..." The voice started, however Cryos had created an infinite loop where a box fell from a portal in the ceiling into a portal in the floor and repeated "...ooooh, spiffy" he said. "HeY, Quit thAT!" the computer said irritably "Hmm....I wonder" Cryos puzzled as he took a pack of Mentos out ofhis pocket, flicking one into the portal on the floor. instead of it coming out the other portal there was a loud explosion, and the words 'GLaDOS defeated, you win, you get cake!' "WOO" shouted Cryos.

Suddenly everything faded out and an odd voice said "Mentos! The freshmaker"




".....Well that was strange, advertising is really getting weird nowadays" Seedle scratched his head.


"It's kinda freaky watching yourself on TV...but oh well, I got cake!!...ahem, now, back to the tournament! Where Tabris and Kai are going at it....kinda" Cryos said, looking down at the two.



Kai was beating away mercilessly, though all of his attacks were impacting harmlessly off an almost invisible shield around Tabris. Tabris just stood there, looking on with a cross of puzzlement and amusement.

"Take this!!!" Kai shouted, brandishing a large missile launcher bearing the emblem of a grinning cat head with swirly eyes and the legend 'Black Kat Industries'. After a large explosion it was discovered that....it did absolutely diddley to the shield. Kai panted and then exhaled, having a backup plan in the works. "Could I please win the match Tabris?" he asked politely.

Tabris blinked "Well sure, since you asked so nicely Mr Kai, I'd be happy to.....hey Mr Cryos sir, I give up" Tabris said, smiling innocently

Everyone in the crowd sweatdropped. "Uh...ok then....I guess that means kai wins by default and advances to the next round..." "Oh yeah!" Kai celebrated "...Verses Bushimaru" Cryos finished. "...crud" Kai sighed, deflating.

Time passed and The Aster vs Wolf match got underway.



Aster violently punched away at Wolf, making large cracks and holes in the scenery with his brute strength, though Wolf agilely weaved and dodged his attacks with relative ease. It was odd, but for some reason Kasshoku was nowhere in sight in this match, though Wolf wasn't seeming to be in any trouble.

"Hold still ya dumb dog!!" Aster shouted as he continued his failure to hit anything but air and the redish rock around them "Stop runnin away like a sissy and fight me! Can you even throw a punch?" he shouted again, getting pretty agitated. Wolf stopped, seeming to think about this for a moment "Yup, since last I checked...can you?" he said cheerfully. This only seemed to make Aster even more angry "Your FACE! I'll show ya what punching is all about!! he yelled, pushing off the ground powerfully, rushing at Wolf with an arm back, seemingly going for a really powerful blow. Wolf continued standing there and casually half raised an arm to his side, making a fist with his hand. As Aster rushed in, looking like he was about to connect with his attack, Wolf suddenly swung his fist down in a blurr, connecting full on with Asters head. The sound of the blow echoed around the arena as a small shockwave was felt. Aster was driven into the ground, losing consciousness. "Now thats how ya throw a punch..." Wolf grinned, making a victory sign with his fingers.



Cryos winced, looking down at the battles conclusion "The winner of match 3 is, Wolf!....in an unusually cruel manner....I love it! Someone get me some hotdogs!!" Cryos announced.

As Wolf walked back to his spot on the side, he smiled and gave Bushimaru a knowing look, as if the little display had been meant for him.

After a shrill, unending beep that lasted more then 24 hours a calm sounding voice finally spoke up "We're sorry for the interruption in this program. This has been a test of the emergency broadcast signal. Please note, that if this was a real emergency, you would be dead, but the TV company would still be showing the regular programs, because they're cash whores. This signal was sponsored by Black Kat Industries; making the world better by blowing crap up....and now, back to our scheduled program"



Cryos tapped his mic idly "...So then I said, 'Hey kid, you wanna come back to my place for a little snack and some candy?' then his mother screamed something about child molesting at me....all I wanted was the kids DS, geez....wait what? we're back? *Ahem* And welcome back to the arena folks, where Mormel and Zom have been going at it for some time, so far Zom has the upper hand, but Mormel has yet to demonstrate the power thats one him those high rankings in the past....lets go see!"



The combatants stood facing each other across the arena, now partly shrouded in toxic purple mist and adorned with various scratch and burn marks. Mormel was breathing pretty heavily, though didn't seem to be wounded, his green tail slithering from side to side. Zom, being a zombie, didn't need to breath, and due to his nature, it was hard to tell if he had been wounded or not. "...You shall not win this battle Mormel, Master Seedles upgrades have put me above your level" Zoms dead voice echoed through the arena. He extended a hand, the stitching on his wrist coming undone and his hand flipping up on a small worn looking hinge. A medium sized blade slid out of the inside of his arm, the metal having a purple sheen, indicating it was pretty heavily poisoned.

To everyones amazement though, Mormel straightened up and raised his hands in defeat "It's true, in my current state you would defeat me....You have improved a lot...or rather...Seedles handywork has....Master Terror has however forbidden me to go any further in this fight...ssssso I must surrender for now" Mormel hissed, his voice half muffled by his mask.

"Wow, this is unexpected, Zom wins via forfeit....Terror, do you have any comment?"



"I need not explain myself to you....besides there mere utterance of my reasons would reduce your fragile mind beyond the point of insanityyyy" Terror said in his usual creepy echoy voice "......Seedle bribed you didn't he?" said Cryos, unaffected.



"It took you that long to figure it out? Damn right I bribed him, because thats how all good sportsmen win....GO ZOM!!" Seedle spoke up with a triumphant grin.

Cryos blinked ".....Wow, there you have it ladies and demons, thats Seedle for ya, always one step ahead of the game....feel free to grab some refreshments as we Detox the arena for the start of round 2, which will be Bushimaru vs Kai, you wont want to miss the carnage!"

"I'm receiving word that our minimum wage slave labor have finished de-toxing the arena of the poison, if any of you in the audience are feeling a little light headed, then I suggest seeing someone about a gravestone shortly" Cryos spoke, then pointed dramatically at the arena "And now, on to the 1st semi-final match between Kai, the ace soldier, and Bushimaru, the effeminately haired samurai. It sounds like a mismatch, but need I remind you that Bushimaru owned the 2nd ranked lieutenant earlier today" he went on.



"Don't remind me" Kai whined as he entered the arena to take his starting position "Pfft, I can do this, yeah, Frowzen wasn't so tough, elite Toukan? pfft, I'm elite too, but much cooler" Kai said to himself, shaking off his doubts about the battle "Ok ya emotionless pansy, you ready for a real fight? Cos' I'm bringing on the ownage in this match!" he then shouted to Bushimaru

Kai blinked a bit as Bushimaru bowed to him, not really used to that sort of thing "Uh....whatever you say I guess" he answered before getting slightly more serious. He crouched down slightly, reaching into the inside of his tattered looking officers jacket to retrieve a black hand-gun. On the side a grinning cat head with swirly eyes was engraved, much like his rocket launcher earlier, along with the text 'Black Kat Industries special operations tactical sidearm MK.3' "Welcome to the battlefield mr florist, where I plan to win, by any means" he grinned confidently, pointing the gun at Bushimaru.

Out of nowhere, 2 nasty looking spear-heads on the end of a couple of long chains erupted from the ground behind bushimaru, aiming to impale him. It seemed that Kais little theatric with the gun was just to distract Bushimarus attention. When he had crouched down, the ends of the 2 chains hanging from his head area had been hidden from view, and had shortly after been extended and sent through the ground while Kai had been talking.

"Oh snapz" Kais eyes widened as he saw Bushimaru start the attack, but managed to react in time to pull his chains back in enough time to avoid the blast of plasma. It seemed that Kais chains where quite quick and agile. One of his chains then lashed out in a sweeping motion, not aiming at the speeding Bushimaru, but rather at the general area his was in. The sweeping motion would hopefully snare Bushimaru as he was dashing, presumably so Kai could administer a few bullets from his gun.
