heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
Okay, I think I can safely announce this now that it's been on the news ...
The Phantom of the Opera will not end its two year' nation-wide tour in Perth as originally announced, but in Adelaide; the city of churches; the festival state ...
MY FREAKIN' HOME TURF!
Article, which has a link to a video with la Warlow and Frost being interviewed.
MWUA HA HA!
The Haigh's Factory better watch out; Warlow's a chocoNUT.
And I'm going. Of course! TO LADS, AWAY!

heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
So, yesterday I took the morning bus into the city, waited around for 7.5 hours in 38 degree heat ((it was a cool change from what we've been having here)) and went off to rehearsals. Some of the people I knew in uni are in the ensemble, and Desiree Frahn bagged the role of Eurydice. So at least I wasn't a complete stranger.
From the gist of it, it's a 3-Act orgy; loaded with double meanings. The version we have is a brand new Australian version written for Opera Australia; they've only performed it twice and it was performed at a park in Perth, and we have Stuart Maunder's permission to use it.
Theme wise, here's the layout:
ACT I: a la Modern day Australia ACT II: a la Greek mythology ((heavens)) ACT III: a la Rocky Horror
It's going to be intense; and considering as this is the first thing that I've done that's been close to a professional production, the 10-night performance will prove interesting times.

That's awesome, Marie! I hope you'll have fun! I know you'll do great. wink
Oh wait... right... superstition... Uh... Try not to suck too bad? That works, right? I'd rather not say break a leg right after someone else, so I'm trying to be creative here. neutral

...
I'm sure if I didn't have a headache I'd be able to respond with something witty to couple the fact that I'll be Medusa in Act III ((the ugliest villainess, as I'm not pretty enough to be one of the Love Police and all the other women got the pretty villainesses)), but as it is I'll have to pass with just a thank you.

...Well, I didn't want to say break a leg right after someone else did, so I was forced to improvise...
How did it go, anyways?

We went to a family night at the childrens' school last night. It was fun, and more importantly the children had fun. When we got home the children did their homework and then it was time for bed for everyone. It was a good night, all in all.

I got the chance to talk to my youngest son Chris before he left for Afghanistan. He's just recently signed up for the Marines.

Sorry, somewhat of a late reply here!
It went well. It was really fun, had some laughs, made some friends *SHOCK*, and I just wish that they had been filming every night to use bits and pieces of each show, mainly just to capture the moment Pluto had a blooper:
"Behold, I am Jupiter! No, wait, I am Pluto! I can see why you're confused."
