Fullmoon.s_wings THAT SUCKS!! i would be so beyond pissed if that happened to me! At least you might get to go on TV thats pretty damn awesome
well it's good that we didn't have to pay for it, just change over to a new account, and transfer the history over.

And that`s why the husband doesn`t like checks. Seriously, he never writes them if at all possible.
He`s paranoid. Way too paranoid.
It`s good that it`s all sorted out already though, `coz normally, that sort of thing takes a while.

It`s good that it`s all sorted out already though, `coz normally, that sort of thing takes a while.
I keep on telling my mom that credit is an instant transfer, so it's much harder to get the information for a credit card, especially if you hold it with your fingers over the numbers when handing it back and forth.
And people like me have photographic memory so all they need to do is catch a glimpse (may be a second or two) of your check, photoshop, and special paper to recreate the incident our jackass made.

For true. My husband pissed his dad off so badly by doing that. He memorized the numbers about six months ago and then his dad, the computer illiterate his is, wanted to buy something via internet for Christmas. So Alan was helping him. He father was like "Oh you need my credit card."
Alan says, "No I don`t." And typed it in.
Then his dad is like, "WHAT THE HELL!? WHEN DID YOU GET MY NUMBERS!!!"
"Oh, remember that time to handed me the card to give to mom. Well, I memorized the numbers. . ."
Does you mum not believe in the magic that is plastic?

@poet: no, she doesn't. and she still thinks checks are safer, even after this little incident. Just goes to prove that intelligence comes from stupidity (yes, I am putting my mom down with that remark, but whatever she knows she's a little slow. She's got a really high IQ [like, just below genius, like me], but not much whits since her car accident in the 70's; but that's off topic)

OUCH! good luck to you.
don't be too hard on your mom. there is s difference between wisdom and intelligence. in my experience everyone has one or the other, but almost never both. My sister is incredibly intelligent, but has zero common sense/wisdom. I, on the other hand, am the opposite. Wise beyond my years but incredibly dense on memory of details. unless it's food related! xd

Well, it's good that you have the FBI looking into it now, even better that the bank involved didn't even charge you.
I woulda been extremely pissed off if that happened regardless of what the bank did >.<
