Sam knew things were going to go bad as soon as she approached him. She just hoped Seto would react calmly instead of losing his temper. She knew better then to talk to him when he was like this.
"Akiko wait." Yugi said as soon as she walked towards Seto but it was too late. He frowned.
Seto glared at all of them. "Do I look ok to you?!" He hissed at her. "I've got a huge company to run and a bunch of incompitent idiots employed under me! No one does a damn thing right besides me!" He yelled, taking his anger out on her even though she did nothing wrong. He picked up his brief case again and stomped up the stairs.
Yugi wasnt brave enough to yell back at Seto but as soon as he headed up the stairs he hurried over to Akiko. "A-are you ok?" He asked worriedly, grabbing her arm.

Akiko just froze, Seto's voice just went through her. Did she just make things worse? She looked down a bit, feeling scared and ashamed. Her arms shook a bit, she had a tendency to take things to heart. She felt somebody holding her arm, she heard Yugi's voice. She closed her eyes and smiled at him, "I'm ok. Don't worry." She did this to hide everything. She didn't want to show how she felt. But she couldn't get her arms to stop shaking.
Joey knew not to say something, but he wanted to. He knew if he did, it would result in a bad fight, and he didn't want to put Sam through that or anybody else. "Hey, why don't we just go to the arcade?" Joey suggested to cut through the tension.
Atem rolled his eyes at Kaiba's outburst. He saw Yugi go to her, though he found it strange she was relaxed during it. He walked over to Sam and Joey. How did she deal with her brother like this? "Are you ok Sam?" he asked her. Seeing her brother explode couldn't have left her feeling any good.

sam looked away from Seto's retreating form to Atem. She smiled a little. "Oh I'm fine. I guess I'm used to it..." She lied. She gave a shrug and looked at akiko. "Sorry Akiko. He really didnt mean it, i promise, he just lost his temper..." She said, trying to make an excuse for Seto's behavior.
Yugi looked from Akiko's face to her shaking arms. He tried to smile at her and he took her hand. "Joey's right, lets go to the arcade." He said trying to soond cheerful so hopefully she'll cheer up. He hated seeing her upset, especially when Kaiba caused it. He wasnt good enough for her.
Seto went up to his home office at the end of the hallway and got right to work to fix the mistakes his employees had made. He was under a lot of stress and he knew he shouldnt take his anger out on Akiko. He was actually starting to like having her around.
((I think we should have Seto start to like Akiko so when they split up it causes problems for him and Joey))

"No no, it's ok- really!" she said to both Sam and Yugi. She felt bad, maybe she just shouldn't have said anything? When she reopened her eyes, they looked duller then usual. Akiko wasn't sure how to react when Yugi grabbed her hand. She squeezed once but let go. "Yea, let's go," she tilted her head a bit.
Joey began walking with them to the arcade. He was about to open his mouth to make a comment about Seto's temper, but new it still wasn't the time. "Ah, he'll get over it," he said instead.
Atem smiled at Sam, "Ok then." He rubbed her back for comfort, thinking nothing of it. He didn't do it for long, but wanted to in a way. He walked with them, standing next to Sam. They could still talk and hang out- there was nothing wrong about that.

((yeah, like she's the one who can calm him down easily and the one he goes to when something is up between him and Joey and vise versa))
Yugi stood there for a moment, just staring at his hand after she let it go. He knew it was wrong of him to do but he felt so rejected. Did she really like Kaiba that much? He just yelled at her for no reason and she felt so loyal to him that she couldnt just hold his hand? Or maybe she just didnt want to. He smiled meekly and followed them, looking down.
Sam smiled at Atem but quickly moved away and more towards Joey. Its not that she didnt like it. The problem was that she liked it too much. She didnt want to tempt herself to have feelings for Atem again. She and Joey lead everyone to the arcade. She let go of his hand and went over to one side of the airhockey table.

Joey walked up to the other side of the table. "Alright Sam, it's on!" he said as he readied himself to serve. Joey wailed on the puck toward Sam's goal. He still was thinking about Seto. He wasn't scared of his temper, he was just blowing off steam. In fact, Joey kind of wish Seto was chilling with them. Hell, it be pretty fun to play a few games with him. "Remember Atem, you play winner. So prepare to play me!" he joked only partially. Deep down, he knew he couldn't beat Sam.
Atem looked away from her when she moved away from him. That took a beating on his heart. Was he that repulsive that she had to walk away from him? 'Like Joey's any better,' he thought. His eyes narrowed at the thought. He shook his head a bit, he shouldn't think that. But with all these feelings he had for her, he couldn't help it. He'd give anything to hold her, even just her hand. He stood and watch the two play air-hockey. "Sorry Joey, I think I'll be playing Sam," he said.
Akiko and Yugi were the last to enter. Before they went in, Akiko whispered so Yugi could only hear, "Thanks Yug." Her head was a mess. She wan't even sure if she liked Seto. When he came up to her that day and asked her out, he made her feel so good. It sounded like he really liked her. He asked her to go out with her, how could she not say yes? Now she was feeling like she had the right to say no. She felt even worse about holding Yugi's hand. Not because they did, but because she liked it. He was warm, soft. She shook her head, she shouldn't think like this now- it wasn't right. She looked at the room, she saw the racing games. "Come on Yugi, you can kick my butt in a racing game," she joked.

Sam easily defected the puck. She glanced at Atem, giving him a smile when he said she would probably win. She knew even if she beat Joey she wouldnt beat Atem. He was the king of games after all. She then looked back at the game and Joey. They played in the arcade all the time. They were just like good friends or siblings. But when she looked at Atem her heart raced. She felt so guilty about that. She should'nt be looking at other guys when she is with Joey, especially his best friend.
Yugi was still looking down, lost in thought until he heard Akiko's whisper. He looked up at her and smiled, nodding as if to say 'anytime'. He just had to forget about the hand thing and just be happy. They werent dating, they probably would never be. So as long as he could be near her he was happy. "Hey, you might win!" Yugi protested optimistically. He hurried over to the game, sitting down and placing his hands on the steering wheel.
((After Yugi and Akiko have some time I'll send Seto down))

Joey tried to reflect the puck back but missed. He didn't think she would hit it back like that. "Damn," he said, "I keep forgetting how good you are at that." He took the puck out and hit it the same way. Joey wasn't a fast learner. He looked at Atem and made a face, "Thanks a lot buddy," he joked a bit.
Atem leaned back on a pole and crossed his arms. He smirked, knowing exactly how this would go. He caught the smile from Sam, small things like that were what kept him going and at the same time, killed him. Sometimes he would pretend that the three of them were just friends, like they used to be. It was kind of easy since Joey never was romantic with her. Well, maybe not in front of him - which was good.
Akiko sat down next to him as well. She grabbed the steering wheel. "And this is why I still don't have a car!" she joked. The game started and she rammed into a computer player, "These computer people think they own the road! Have-at-you!" She loved video games- to her, they were ultimate in group entertainment. As she played she peeked over at Yugi, "Hey, you look nice today. Er.... not saying you don't other days. I'm a girl, I notice these things."

Sam had been a bit destracted looking at Atem for a moment. She actually missed the puck and it went into the goal. She picked the puck out of the goal and shot it back at Joey. She glanced at Yugi and Akiko. "Hey yugi can you reach the peddles?" She joked. She looked back at Joey, wondering why he wanted to date her anyway. Well that is if he did want to. he never kissed her a lot or anything. They just werent very affectionate towards each other.
Yugi chuckled. Akiko was so fun to be around. In his eyes she was the perfect girl, funny, kind, beautiful... He couldnt help but to fall in love with her. He hated seeing her with kaiba too. If he made her happy then he wouldnt mind as much but Kaiba was so mean to her. At least he wasnt in Atem's situation. He couldnt imagine how it would feel to like your friend's girlfriends and see them happy together. Hearing her compliment Yugi couldnt help but smile and blush. "T-thanks, you really think so?" He asked bashfully. "Well you always look cute..." he said, blushing even more, hoping she wasnt disgusted by his comment. "I'm a guy, I notice those things." He joked back. He couldnt focous on the game and was therefore losing. He heard Sam's comment. "Hey!" He whined but knew she was only joking.

Joey raised his arms in the air, "Woot! Score one for Joey!" He said happily. He brought them back down to try and hit the puck back, which he did. But it was an easy set up for Sam and Joey knew it. "Crap crap crap crap!" Joey said not know where she would hit it from.
"Don't be so quick to gloat Joey," Atem said meaning for it to be a joke, but to him was more of a passive aggressive comment. He couldn't help but sweatdrop with Sam's comment- he was about four or five inches taller then Yugi. But he smiled slightly, she was just kidding.
Akiko blushed really bad when Yugi commented her. She accidentally drove into a car but was back on track. She wore a quirky smile- because it was showing and she didn't want it to. "Heh heh, thanks," she said. She toke the compliment, but wasn't sure of it afterwards. Actually, she never really got compliments so it felt really good to get one. Seto never spared them. "Sam! That's not funny!" she joked back. "Geez, I'm only two inches taller and I can reach the peddles just fine," she joked a bit. "Hey, I won," she smiled.

"Well if you guys need a booster seat let me know." Sam joked back. Yugi wasnt that short, just short for a guy. He was even shorter then the average female hieght. She just couldnt help but to make some jokes. Sam laughed at their comments and and easily hit the puck into Joey's goal. "C'mon Joey, dont hold back." She teased since she knew Joey was really trying. She may be confused about her feelings for Atem and Joey but no matter what she wanted them all to be friends for a long time.
Yugi let go of the wheel after he lost. He scrached the back of his head a bit embarresedly. 'So much for impressing her with my gaming skills.' he thought to himself. he smiled at her. "Wanna play another game?" he asked eagerly.

Joey sighed a bit when the puck went in his goal. He looked at Atem with a raised eye brow. "Nyeh? Don't I get a little support?" Joey said jokingly, yet seriously. He took the puck out and hit it towards Sam's end. "You know, ya think your funny don't you?" he laughed at Sam's comment about him not trying. He was used to Sam busting on him, he found it weird Atem was kind of at him.
"Come on, you don't need support," Atem said. His statements were making him feel better. They were small insults that came from his jealousy and he was somewhat unaware of them. "I think Sam's right, I don't think your trying," he smirked. His passive aggressive behavior was slowly surfacing. The worse part was, he was never like this.
"Sure! You wanna choose this time," Akiko said as she pressed random buttons that didn't do anything now that the game was over. She got up from the seat and looked over at Sam, "Haha, very funny," she said with a giggle. She was still thinking about what Yugi said, his compliment. Her blush faded, but each time she thought about it, her heart fluttered. She tried to ignore it.

Sam glanced at Atem again. He was doing a bit more then just teasing. Did he not mean it? Was he just getting carried away. "Hey well we'll see what youre made of in a second." She challenged Atem and hit the puck hard so it bounced of the sides back and forth towards the goal.
Yugi hopped out of the seat and walked over to a dancing game. "How about this one?" He asked. It reminded him of Tea. He hadnt talked to her in a while since she went to school for dance. he actually used to have a crush on her. He had thought he was in love with her. But now that he knew Akiko he now knew what love really was.

Joey moved away from the table, from fear of the puck. It went into his goal and actualky bounced out from the force. Joey sweetdropped and looked at it, "Woah." He then pointed at it and joked, "Does that still count?" He was wondering himself what Atem was thinking. He's never heard him like this toward him, and he thought they were good friends. "Guess you won...." Joey said. He handed off the padfle to Atem. Their eyes crossed, he could see a strange glare of anger.
Atem's mouth hung a bit open as he watched the blurring puck bounce into Joey's goal and out. He gulped slightly. He snapped out of his strange behavior, for now. He simply smiled at Sam, taking on her challenge. When walking next to Joey, he gave him one final look. However, he saw worriedness, a bit of 'what did I do?' in Joey's eyes. Atem looked away from them, god he didn't know what he was doing. Joey was his friend, he'll always be his friend, but god damn was he pissed at him. He put the paddle down and readied the puck. "Ready?"
"Haha, ok. But don't laugh when I fail ok?" Akiko laughed. She was ok at dance games, maybe below average. But they were just having fun, so she didn't have to worry. She jumped up on the pad and waited for him to start.

Sam hadnt meant to hit it that hard. She put her hand on her face, a bit embarressed. She nodded, smirking a bit. She really wanted to win, he was a real challenge and she wanted to impress him. "Ready when you are."
Yugi grinned and got onto the dance stage, pressing some buttons. "as long as you dont laugh at me." Yugi agreed jokingly. He definately wasnt the best dancer but it was a lot of fun.
After Seto had fixed most of the problems with the game software he started thinking about his outburst from earlier. All he could picture is the look on her face and he started to feel guilty. He groaned in irritation and decided to go check on them. He got up and walked down the stairs. He guessed they would be in the arcade so he went there. He opened the door, seeing Akiko and Yugi playing DDR and Sam, Joey, and Atem playing air hockey.
