Noah couldn't help the quirky grin that spread across his face as he watched the two. It was nice to see how upbeat and truly hopeful they were. Some people who came could be do downtrodden and depressed. Fertility clinics were often a last resort, and so he couldn't blame them. Spending lots of money and then sometimes not being able to conceive regardless -it wasn't a wonder why some people were so despondent when they came.
"You're free to do so ma'am, but we will specifically ask that you come here after certain amounts of time for check ups that must be done here. We want to make sure everything's going fine, and because of the indepth knowledge we have about the serum we may be able to spot something abnormal that you may brush off," the young doctor noted, "You understand our mentality, I'm sure. I trust that you're a completely capable OBGYN."
After being told her profession, Noah wasn't quite as suprised at how fast she went through all the paperwork. He took the papers back and flipped through them to check everything was filled out only from habit, before placing them into the manila folder and back into the filing cabinet, then locking it.
"Okay, all done with that. I'll just leave for a moment to get the serum. Wait here please, I'll only be gone a few minutes, Noah gave them a short wave before exitting the room briefly, giving them a chance to talk amongst themselves privately.

Turning back to Dr. Bowen, she nodded. "I do and I'll be more than happy to comply with anything specific you desire. Just say the word, Dr. Bowen." A shake of her head, "He has the most eloquent turns of phrases, doesn't he? Baby using you for a house, really, Casanova." But she gave him a nuzzle when they were left alone anyway, completely thrilled that things were progressing at last. "We were ready years ago and it's finally happening." Anticipation was a good word for it. Suppressing a yawn, she took her husband's hand and linked their fingers. "Any last thoughts, Dr. Calder? Once we do this, there's no going back."

And thus they were left to stew for a while as the doctor left to go prepare drugs and what not, a process he was acquainted with as well and thus knew to be patient. A smile to his wife as she nuzzled him and he gently rubbed at her back in light affectionate manner. "Last thoughts? Hm, I suppose I should be upset that all our avaliable time for just us two is going to go down the drain, and we'll never get as much sleep again. Not to mention the crying, and the feedings, the appointments to keep. I'm sure it will be absolute hell....But I couldn't be happier or more ready. I say bring it." Pressing a kiss to her temple with a chuckle.

The doctor returned soon after, knocking before entering. Samantha and Xearus were rather... affectionate with each other. People being around didn't seem to bother them, and frankly Noah had no idea how long the expected him to be gone. Since they had no problem being intimate in public, he figured a knock would be better in case they had decided a romantic makeout session at the doctor's office was a good idea. It was better than entering without them realizing and having to awkwardly cough or something to let them know it was time to go ahead.
But Noah was lucky, and they were only cuddling. He approached them holding a syringe filled with a dark liquid: the serum. Placing it carefully on the counter, he pulled out an alcohol swab. "If you'd extend your arm please, " Noah addressed Samantha with a reassuring smile.

They were indeed affectionate but the last place Sam would ever initiate or participate in such activities was a doctor's office. It was just like her workplace and the environment wasn't conducive in her mind. She listened to her husband, nodding in silent agreement and closed her eyes in contentment as his lips brushed her head. "Good. It's finally time."
Dr. Bowen's reappearance gained instant cooperation from the female vampire. She rolled the sleeve of her shirt up high enough and held out her arm. Needles had never bothered her and the little bit of pain wouldn't be a huge deal either. She monitored the process carefully for her own personal reasons, however. If she was going to be visiting this clinic and entrusting something as valuable as her yet-to-be-born babies to it, they had better be doing things correctly and giving a lot of care to the training of their staff. "Ready."

Hm, didn't look like a pleasant liquid, but hey most things health related weren't in some aspect. Looked bad or smelled bad or tasted bad or felt bad. Any of those things. But he merely watched as his wife went about cooperating. Such things didn't bother him either, hell he was used to being on the giving end of such things. "Gotta love sciene, eh Sammers?"

The fact that Sam was a doctor certainly helped with any issues giving her a shot would normally produce. It did bring up some new ones. Noah was well aware that she'd be watching his every move, with this and everything else medically significant. He got nervous easily around people, so it was almost suprising how much this did the opposite and seemed to harden his resolve. This was work, and he was damned good at his job. This might only be giving a simple injection, but it would mean a lot in the long run if she really was inspecting him.
Noah grinned in a bit of an uncharacteristicaly impish way as he cleaned her arm with an alcohol swab and remarked, "I used to work in a prominent Gaia hospital's emergency room. You don't have to inspect me to make sure I'm up to par." Luckily for the young doctor, his nature made it clear that it wasn't him bragging, but reassuring her. He knew how hard it was to be a doctor, but have to answer to another one occasionally.
Quick and efficient, the injection took only a matter of seconds. "And we're finished here, for this step anyway. The period that this serum will work is only for a few days. The fertilization is up to you two, and if you wait too long we are not liable for it. Please leave the money with the receptionist; check or cash are both fine."
Noah led them out of the office, parting with a small wave and headed down the hallway to their right, past Selma's desk (where she sat ready another trashy romance novel, as expected).
((That should wrap it up. If they need to ask him something ro just say something to him, just tell me and I'll edit it into my post quick.))

Sam wasn't ashamed in the least that she'd been caught staring since she'd treated doctors before herself and found herself under the microscope as well. Noah handled himself with the professionalism and efficiently administered the shot. The tiny p***k hardly made her wince, her fascination centered on the liquid steadily absorbing into her veins. Her body was far more aware of things than a human's and she could feel the serum mix and meld in her bloodstream, trace it's journey all the way through. Xearus got a grin and she nodded. "Naturally."
Fixing her clothes and following the good doctor out, she rested a hand on his arm. "Thank you very much, Dr. Bowen." Turning back to Xearus, she pecked his cheek and ran a hand through her hair. "Take care of the bill and I'll see you at home. I've got to get some sleep." Seeing the immediate concern, she waved it off. "I'm fine, Casanova." Her sunglasses settled into place, she pulled her coat back on and disappeared through the doors, a strange sense of elation coursing through her. That serum was a miracle worker and she'd be monitoring it carefully. Settling behind the wheel of the Explorer, she turned the key in the ignition and glanced at the clock. Eight-thirty. Before the sun set this evening, she'd be pregnant.

"Thank you Dr. Bowen." Thusly off with them where he was shooed away from his wife after some reassurance. Nodding he made his way over to the desk and scribbled out a check for the procedure and then heading back out to his own car to head home and what not. Oh yes, he seemed calm on the outside but he was giddy as a school boy getting to be with his fantasy dream girl and all other wonderful things that mind could think up all at the same time. Hey, he was allowed to be...such opportunities didn't happen everyday. Sunglasses in place, her headed home to covet away from the sun for the rest of the day and happily snuggle up to his wife...well before other actitivies at least.
