Yeah Final Fantasy I and II were on the nes and SNES, along with an assortment of others. But Final Fantasy is critically acclaimed as the greatest RPG of all time and especially of it's time. Believe me, I know my final fantasy.

Sega Genisis - Great 1st Gen graphics! well playing games and spotlight games like Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3.
NES - Decent. The games were variety, but not as satisfying. Brought the birth of Mario Bros, though.
SNES - Much more coloful! great games!
Sega CD - Not too popular. Few nice games, like sonic cd.
N64 - Not a good selection of games, and ok graphics. Addicting none the less.
PS1 -SPYRO! Remember him? just like the N64
