Milo remained quiet for several moments before attempting. "Mwio[milo]" He went quiet after that apparently shocked that he had managed to actually produce a sound. His voice itself was soft and rather feral sounding. He'd have trouble speaking. Looking up at Spike, Milo waited to hear if he had done it right.

Spike smiled, feeling a bit of pride that the young one had just spoken his first word.. Even if he had said it differently. Milo was on a good start, and all it would take was practice.
"Well.. Never been much of the foal type. But I suppose you shall be worth your weight."
He said smiling.
"Nicely done Milo."

A sense of happiness filled Milo as he learned that he had said the word right. A dazzling smile crossed his features as he bounded about happily. "Mwilo Mwilo Mwilo" He repeated as he bounded.

Spike laughed a bit, couldnt help himself. The sight of Milo bounding around cause he had spoken his first word, warmed the normally cold-hearted stallion.
"Milo, Are you hungry?..Or...Do you know where any of your family is?"
He asked, hoping that Milo wouldn't be too confused with his words.

Milo skidded to a stop as Spike spoke again. Cocking his head to the left, he watched him quietly. His ear's twitching at the word food, he knew that word but what the other's were, he had no clue.

He saw his ears twitch at teh word food, and smiled. Ah, so the colt did understand the word food.
"Milo? Food?" He asked, trying to make it easier for Milo to understand. Spike understood how incredibly unlike him it was to help such a foal.. But with the look of Spikes childhood friend, he couldnt refuse him.
After all.. He'd be good with attracting the ladies.

Milo let out another soft woof of breath and moved back towards Spike. He had food, or at least could get him some. Standing next to Spike, Milo looked around in search of the food.

Spike watched the foal with a raised eyebrow and said to himself.
"What kind of bloke is so small.. Surely Soquili 'round here arent all..challenged in height."
He said, but speaking too low for Milo's little ears. Milo wasnt so much a bother. He was talking of other..smaller foals.

Sniffing at the ground, Milo tentatively pushed the leaves that coated the ground in search of food. In his experience, he had been able to find some tasty flower petals buried in the leaves. Maybe he would be able to find some again?

Spike shook his head and nudged the little guy.
"No, Milo. Im not hungry. I was asking if you were hungry. Gotta eat ya know."
He said, blowing a puff of air at the little one.

Looking up at Spike, Milo practically danced in place. Much like an over eager puppy dog. A loose petal from a long flower dangled from his mouth, having eaten the rest of it while Spike was talking to himself.

He looked back to the earth, eyes catching the little guy again.
"Bloody 'ell.. You have the appetite of Shaggy and the gang."
He mused.
