Empress, you were living on campus, right?

sweatdrop its so hard for me to understand how people actually GAIN weight when they go to college, unless they live on a miniscule campus.

the campus im on is comparitively tiny, but its still a b***h to walk to class.
i could eat my a** off, and still end up burning off all that energy before lunch. it doesnt need to be said that im not the skinniest person on earth, but if im running around campus and not gaining weight, why isnt anyone else?

unless of course, your so lucky to have a car, and drive your self everywhere, and spend more time looking for parking than it would actually take to walk across the campus. stare

Well.. lets just say I spent less time walking/doing to class and more time at my flat with a packet of chips and some ice-cream. So even though the campus was large, I was not often tempted to explore it... (I did well enough in my studies without attending much class..)

i suppose i'd spend more time in my dorm if i had a computer, but as i dont( and its a 7 minute walk to the nearest computer lab) i can usually be fown sittin on some stone wall around campus, reading a book and just watching people hurry to class:: 3nodding

I think mine started when I was a teenager cause I was skinny growing up too. I was depressed thinking I was unattractive becasue I was always made fun of in grade school and I started eating. No one monitered my eating, they just wondered where all the food was going xd (Something I laigh at now) Soon it went from being an emotional eater to also a recreational eater (eating just because it taste good and/or there is nother else to do). I'm convinced that being forced to eat everthing on my plate didn't help things either sweatdrop but I don't blame my parents. It just happened I think. Now I am trying to break the eating for the wrong reasons so I can be a bit healthier (at least emotionally).

Now you have to understand I love food. I don't just like it. I LOVE it. With that said...

I was never a skinny child. I didn't really start putting on weight until I was about 9/10. I attribute this to memories and how it makes me feel.

I adore sweets, cheese and fatty meats. Grandma used to feed me cookies and cakes because she worked in a bakery, and everytime I saw Grandpa he fed me chocolate pudding. Nanny (my great grandmother who lived with my grandparents) gave me candy every time we visited.

Baked goods, sweet things, give me a strange sense of comfort. Dad is a cheese monster and also a baked good fiend. So... of course watching movies with dad, or going to the store with him meant blocks of cheese to eat later, a 25 cent pie from the bakery section.

Good lunchmeats, deli sliced thin salami, ham, pepperoni, turkey... mmm... that I get from my mother who will roll it up and eat it. She also fed me so many hot dogs when she was preggers with my sisters.

And my fiance... if I associated anything with him it's cheesecake and pizza with ranch dressing. He loves those foods, and I've come to love them too. I made him cheesecake when he first visited me at my apartment ^_^.

So there's a lot of emotional issues tied up with my food. When I feel like I'm not getting what I want out of my food, and when I try to diet, I get very grumpy and very angry... even quitting smoking wasn't as difficult as trying to diet. Ah well, it's a good thing my fiance likes me as I am, and will love me bigger or smaller.

Well, lets just say I'm an impulsive eater. When ever I'm not occupied I tend to eat just to pass the time. So the summer between 8th and 9th grade rolls around and I am even more nervous than ever about school and HIGHSCHOOL that I just ate even more. Gained around 30 pounds that summer...yep.

I was always overweight lol. It was how I grew up I guess. When I was younger my mom worked a lot of crazy hours and we ate mcdonalds and burger king like every night. I've never put the effort into losing the weight, but I'm gonna satrt now that I got my license. It's easiuer to get to places.

well, I wasn't a huge kid but I was tall with meat on my bones.. I never had a problem with the way I looked until 7th grade.. I don't know what it was but I just went blah, didn't like myself.. I realized my weight 12 yrs old, 5'5", 190 lbs.. my 8th grade year I started out 224 lbs and was 5'7" so I started to loose weight, went on the Atkins. I got down to 168 and moved back home.. Well, when I moved back I didn't want to diet anymore.. I gained a lot back... at the end of my Sophomore year I was 252... This summer I losed about 20 lbs so I'm feeling a little better.. I'm also 5'10 now and have filled out my form better.. so that's my story, I don't know exactly what happened

I was normal until puberty.

I stopped going outside so much, became less active.

I stopped going to school around that time, too... so I was just at home all the time with nothing to do but eat.

Nothing has changed much since then... and I'm very unhappy with it, but eh... whatever.

I am actually UNDER weight... I am 5'7 1/4 and I weigh about 110 lbs. I am skinny.. not nearly as skinny as I used to be... I was a sports-a-holic up until college. I started to put on some weight but then I just kinda stopped eating. *Shrugs* I dun really know. I just don't really have time to eat anymore... Also the fact that I live about 3 miles from campus and must run too and from campus has to be part of it... *mutters about messing up his ankles* Anyway.. Yeah.. My mother has always been big and *shrugs* I am really just a very accepting person. I don't really care. Big, small, short, tall... as long as you arn't a b***h I can likely find a way to love you. smile heart
