Sherbert nodded. She knew he didn't want to talk about whatever it was ans she wasn't going to make him. Sherbert knew pushing others was not that way to make them feel better.
Sherbert stood up and looked around. "Which way would you like to go?"

Cain felt relieved that Sherbert didn't ask about his past. He thought he heard a river beyond some trees, so he flicked his tail over there.
"How about that way?"

Sherbert nodded. "Yeah, that way is fine with me. I really just love to go anywhere. As long as I have good company. And I think I do." She giggled and winked at Cain. Sherbert began to walk.
((Welp, guys I have a training thing with my new job so I will be gone until Thrusday afternoon. I will get to my rps when I'm back! smile )

"And I have good company too," Cain said with a smile. He then walked side by side with her, while taking in the surroundings. Trees, birds, and various flowers all contributed to this perfect setting.
Soon they reached the river. The water was very clear, the fish swimming between the rocks, and there was a small waterfall a little ways away.
"Beautiful..." Cain breathed.

Sherbert smiled as she looked to the water. "It is." She then sat down and dipped her tail into the water. She then giggled and she flicked it at Cain. "Did I get you?" She asked with a nod.

"That was cold," he said as drops of water fell on his face. "Feel for yourself."
Cain then stuck his paw in the water, which felt colder now that his whole paw was soaked, and flicked it back at Sherbert. He laughed.

Sherbert tired to dodge the water but it wasn't good enough. She got a some right in the face. Sherbert blinked and the began to laugh as well. "You're right that was cold!"

Cain continued laughing and soon it caused him to lose his balance. He fell and tumbled right into the water, the cold completely soaking his fur. It was freezing, to the point where his body was numb with sharp pain. He scrambled out, gasping for air. He flashed Sherbet a smile to show that he was alright, but his whole body was shivering.

Sherbert watched as he fell in. After he was out she went over to him. "Are you okay? Is it really cold?" She asked as she reached out her paw to touch his fur to see if he was cold.

"I'm f-fine... I'm n-not c-c-cold." Actually he was freezing, but he didn't want Sherbert to worry about him.
He flinched as he felt her paw touch him. He was reminded of his past again and how he hated physical contact. But her touch was so warm and inviting...

Sherbert wished she had something for him to feel better. "I wish I had a blanket or something for you." She looked around as she moved her paw away as she wasn't sure he wanted her paw on him.

"It's alright..."
Cain wished that the hatred that filled his past hadn't emotionally scarred him like this. Why couldn't he have a normal, loving childhood?
Ignoring the instincts tht followed him all his life, he slowly moved closer to Sherbert until their pelts touched. It felt so strange, yet so full of warmth.
"You're better than a blanket."

Sherbert giggled as she also turned a little red. Her cheek heart were now very bright. "Ohh...ha well thanks. I'm glad to be of help." She smiled warmly to him hoping that she would help him keep warm.

Cain had never felt this warmth before, even though his fur was soaked with freezing water. All his life he had been alone and it made him feel so cold. But now, being next to Sherbert made him feel warmer than ever before.
"Thank you," he said. "For showing me what love is like."
