"You think I would not notice that my friend was pregnant? Please, you don't give me much credit," he chuckled as he wadded back into the water ready to catch some more for her.
"You may not have had a mate last time, and perhaps not even this time, but you have to remember there are some of us who would love to help you, Kimya. This is the Pride Lands, you are a member here, right?" he swatted another, smaller fish out of the water before moving to the other side of the pool, waiting for another. "We are here to help you."

"Thank you." She smiled, genuinely grateful for his help and companionship. "... I've never had a friend before. It's... nice, really nice." She admitted with a sentimental little smile. "I think I definitely like it here in the Pridelands. I never would have imagined..."
Never would have imagined such a place that had been feared in childhood could be home. She could feel herself beginning to open up in these lands, to relax and enjoy the beauty and kindness that they had to offer, just as Zeki said. She wasn't just a rogue anymore, though she'd always had her mother and brothers to fall back on. Now, though, she had a pride. So close to the area where her own mother lived, she was home. Truly home.
Stretching out to rest on her stomach the female was all too glad to enjoy the sun and the good company, grateful for this new start, laughing lightly as her companion improved on his fishing method. The start of the first of many better days.
