Verdad smiled widely, swishing her tail back and forth in a playful manner. "You just got back? Really?" She chuckled at the though. "This place is so big that I figured that you just got lost...or I got lost. Whichever one fits better I guess."
Her eyes darted around, surveying the land closely. "Well, it hasn't changed too much. A few trees have fallen down, cubs have grown up, those cubs had cubs." She stretched out, yawning and flexing her claws. "It's really all the same when you look at it. Small things have changed but nothing too out of the ordinary. It would be quite nice if something weird happened for once but, honestly, you're the most interesting thing that's happened in months. "
She shrugged, laughing a bit under her breath and turning to walk slowly towards the inner most part of the pride.
"If you're looking for something that's changed then we're better off returning to the actual inner circles rather than standing out here in the outskirts."

Matsai rolled his shoulders in a shrug as he got up to follow her, his paws heavy on the dirt.
"Naw... I traveled a lot farther than I intended and saw a lot I'd never see anywhere else. It's weird, to see this place just the same as when I left, when so much else has changed..." He mused as he lengthened his stride just enough to catch up to her before slowing again. It was strange too, walking with someone that wasn't Ahai. She was smaller, for a start, and didn't cover as much ground. The fact that she was female was another thing... he never felt like this with Ahai, certainly.
"You've changed. I don't know how much though... are you still as annoyingly girly as before?" He made the joke and actually worried if she'd find it funny or not... it was weird, trying to relate to this... rather lovely adult while remembering the bouncy cub.

"Must have been nice to leave for a bit. I've been here for my entire life. It's gotten quite boring."
Verdad watched Matsai's weird steps, trying to quicken her own so he could follow more easily. She had actually forgotten how small her steps were compared to the giant male next to her.
"I haven't changed too much. Still small and stuff. I literally just grew and filled out." Ver sped up a bit, rolling her eyes at the comment. It had been so long since she had been confronted by his sarcasm. "So no, I'm probably still the same girl from our cub days just with an expanded vocabulary."
"Anyways, what were the places you saw like? Anywhere interesting?"

"An expanded vocabulary sounds interesting... think would should compare notes?" He teased her, straight faced. When she picked up her pace, he was careful to match it, not wanting to force her to run for him.
"There's too much to tell in a day... we sort of got lost so there were some places we never knew existed. We did tend to keep to ourselves though... and it was interesting, learning to hunt on our own and feed ourselves. It was trickier than it looked when we used to watch the adults do it." He shrugged again. Ahai had picked it up faster than he had... and with his handicap, he prefered not doing it if he could help it.
"The girls out there are strange, too... males are males anywhere, but rogue girls are... wild." He wrinkled his nose and smoothed it out again quickly, blanking his face again. "They are tough and have no respect at all... which is how it goes I guess, when you don't have the safety of a pride..."
It was nice to just talk with her after so long, he noticed. He was going to enjoy the tour, even if he could care less about what she showed him.
