She nodded slowly as he spoke of the plant, frowning as she tried to determine if she'd seen any unfamiliar plants recently. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly something that she would notice. Plants weren't of too much interest to her, unless they were pretty, and even then she wouldn't be able to tell one plant from another. They were things for preybeasts, and she knew that so long as there was grass, there may be preybeasts. Nothing else mattered. "I'm sure you will. A plant cannot hide forever, after all."
It was definitely interesting that males had to take the rank of their mate, as she had always heard of it in the opposite. The idea of a female leader sounded compelling as well, though it was not uncommon, she still enjoyed hearing of such things. "So, are we hoping that your brother mates below his rank?" Her brows quirked before her smile became a tad pessimistic, "Or has he already?" It was more conversational that conspirital. She had no reason to dislike the brother as she hadn't met him, though she wouldn't make any attempt to deter this lion from his own opinion. After all, she most likely didn't know the whole story as it was.
"Most definitely. If you had presented all that in any other manner, I think I might've turned tail and run in the opposite direction." She grinned at him before continuing as if she were critiquing a campaign speech, "Calm, collected with only subtle inclinations as to your own opinion." Winking, she was obviously being jovial.

He couldn't help but smile, deciding that she would probably be a good friend of his in the future, should he ever decide to become a rogue. He highly doubted it, but being head hunter he was allowed outside the pride borders, so on the off-chance that they meet again, he'll have someone pleasant to talk to.
"He's mated to a female of his ranking," he said a bit dejectedly. "But she's of the good sort, so the only complaint I have other than he's still king is that his mate won't treat him badly." Njiru smirked, a bit amused with what he'd just said. Odd for him, really, as he had little to no sense of humor, but everyone has those days.
"And yes, soon hopefully. It's a tricky sort of plant to look for, since it's rather rare, but it's not impossible to find. My sister, who handles the plant more than anyone else in the pride, will probably be the one to find it."
The former prince nodded, happy that she didn't feel too pressed to share his opinions whenever he presented them. It wasn't everyday that you met somebody who was easy to converse with, and not so judgmental. He flicked his tail a bit, head lifting as he scanned the terrain once more. Silvery eyes landed on the horizon and the sun that was already beginning to sink behind it. With a frown he stood up, a bit upset that he had to take his leave already.
"Well, it's been a pleasure Tuli, but I'll have to go now. Perhaps we'll run into each other again in the future." With a small bow he turned and began to walk away in the direction that the scent he's smelled had come from. Perhaps their search would end soon after all, but at this point all he could do was hope.

She would have actually been shocked to admit that she'd like to meet this lion again in the future. He was kind, but not overbearing. But the biggest benefit was that her head was still on her shoulders and he hadn't beaten her to an inch of her death when they'd brought up such touchy topics. They'd gotten along swell!
Her pale blue eyes twinkled with amusement, though her lips were only mildly curled. His dislike of his brother was funny in a way, only because she was so used to seeing family oriented beasts. "Oh, there is time for that yet, I'm sure. Who knows, some ill luck might befall him before you know it?"
It was meant to sound hopeful, but instead Tuli was left feeling rather morbid. She shook her pelt as if she were shivering before he quite suddenly was giving his goodbye. Her gaze rose to him once again and her lips spread in a smile, "It was a pleasure, indeed, Njiro. Keep your chin up, you may get lucky yet." She flicked her tail before adding, "Good luck finding your plant!" And with that she turned off on her own way as well.
