As Ryuko prepared his new Positron Rifle, he took a deep inhale with his smoke and breathed out the essence out.
"Then let's go," said Ryuko.

Village man: "Very well, lets be off then...staying in one place is not recomended in the-AAAGH!!", his statement was cut short as a large insect-like creature jumped down from the trees onto the unwitting farmer. "HELP MEEEE!!", he screamed as the monstrocity nipped and gouged at him with venemous, biting pincers. Blood splashed as it dug it's claws into the meat of the man's arm.
Chittering and sreeching with delight, the creature mangled the farmer with sadistic fervor. It kept it's encompassing vision on the other's however, fully anticipating an attack.

"That isn't something you see everyday..." More of a thought that he had let go accidentally. He had little reaction to it although it was not expected. He figured maybe a vampire attack, but not a giant bug.
Silence from the younger of the two brothers. Death had became common to both of them. Although that didn't mean that they had to like it, they had gotten used to it. It wasn't anything they bragged about, but it did help them keep their cool on a battlefield.

"Am I not good?" he said vainly. He then turned hand pulled his crossbow. He short aimlessly at the creature as always, yet he almost always hits. "Suck egg! insolent ford."

Kaki's crossbow bolt caught the creature in it's side. Shrieking in pained rage, it jumped off the half dead farmer and bounded toward it's attacker. Gnashing mandibled sputtered fluids as it flew through the air. It's already bloodied claws aimed for any exposed, tender skin they might find.

Kaki grabbed his sword from his back. He then let the monster hit him sliding back about 10 feet still standing at the end. "Go from me you vile beast," he said swinging at it with might.

Kaki succesfully lopped off one of the creatures arms. It reeled in pain and thrashed about, sending gobbets of yellow green fluid spatering across the group. The creature turned and fled into the woods from whence it came.
Meanwhile, the farmer lay on the ground, bleeding profusely. "I...I can't fe-eel...my arm!" Indeed, while Kaki might have sliced an arm from the large insectoid creature, it had severed that of the farmer's. "It will be back!" thew farmers eyes were wide with panic. "We must get to shelter!", He coughed, spitting up a good deal of blood. He had apperantly taken a few stabs to the chest as well. "...just ...up the ..road"

Dana pulled out a large dagger, but too late. The creature had already left. She looked over at the mauled farmer. "Is he gonna be okay?".Then she looked around at the dark forrest around them, suddenly a little fearful. "Maybe we should go find shelter."

"If we move him he may die, but if we stay we'll all die. I will try to mend him to the point were we can move him. It will be an hour at most. Keep guard with your weapons drawn," he said while walking to the old farmer.
"Do not move. This will be the most painful thing you have ever felt." Kaki then pulled a healing needle from hie bag and jabbed it into the mans wound. The man gave a blood curdling yell. Kaki then pulled out a white cloth and tied it around the mans wound. No matter how much he bleed it always stayed white. Kaki then began to speak in the Elven Tongue.
An hour had passed. "We can now move him. It must be gently and try to keep his limbs straight," he said.

The mangled farmer did nothing tbut moan and cry out the whole rest of the way to the checkpoint, disturbing all manner of nighttime creatures. When at last they came to the site, the group would observe the visage of a shoddy structure not fit to pen animals. The loose boards were half rotten and did little to keep out the chilly evening air. A pile of damp wood lay strewn in a corner, once meant for firewood.
At long last it began to rain, first lightly then in heavy, stinging drops that hammered upon the ragged structure. Water did not so much drip as pour thruogh the roof, making muddy puddles around the group as they dismounted their gear and attempted to find a relatively dry spot to sleep on.
The farmer seemed to only speak in whimpers of pain to anyone that would pay him heed. Kaki might have stemmed his bleeding, but he had become disturbingly pale and had taken a fever.
(In the next couple of posts, you guys can start a fire, converse, hone weapons, whatever. I'm giving you opportunities to share character developement w/ each other before I progress the story.)

"Oh, how cozy," Kaki said sarcastically, "I don't suppose we'll get much rest here." Then Kaki walked back over to the man. He checked up on him and added to his bandage. He then walked over to the wood and picked it up and moved it to the center of the room. He then grabbed to bags of herb out of his ruck sack. "This is the Fire Herb, and the Herb of Healing. Both will serve there purpose tonight." Then Kaki crushed the Fire Herb and sprinkled it on the wood. He pulled out a match book and lit it. The wood did NOT catch fire.
"I'm going to leave this in your hands, the Herb may take sometime to dry out the wood." Kaki then went to the man and jabbed the herbs into his wounds. It had stopped the bleeding for now. Then he re-wrapped them in the still spotless and clean clothes that he had used before.

It was pouring now, and a low fog began to snake it's way around the deadend trees. The rain turned to sleet and the light breeze turned into frigid gusts. While the group fiddled and toiled in the pathetic shack, a pair of silvery eyes watched them from the wet woods.
(that's your cue. lol.)

The pouring rain did little to effect Lilith, she learnt long ago that a body was just a shell, and although it might get 'broken' it doesn't matter as long as the owner as the will to carry on. Her eyes watched, taking in and trying to work out just what the group were doing, they didn't look like average villagers or anything for that matter.
Her black hair was sticking to her pale face, the rain streaming down over her features, giving her an almost corpse like look. She move her hair back behind her ears, some cold water running down the back of her cape and top making her spine tingle slightly but she never flinched, she just stood from her crouching position and began to head towards the shack.
Moving slowly and stealthy she used the fog to cover her tracks while she got closer to listen out for any interesting information she might find out, if she was caught, she could blag her way out of it she supposed, after all there might just be an 'adventure' waiting for her with this group.
(Thanks, I hope that was good enough.)

Dana looked over at Kaki as he tried to light a fire unsuccesfully. Then as he dealt with the bloody farmer. "Is he gonna be okay?", she asked. She then pulled a blanket out of her pack an set it down on the ground. She tried to sleep, but couldn't shake the feeling they were being watched. "maybe it's one of those bug things", she thought.

"The Farmer is stable. However, he won't live to see the third day if we don't get him to a healer. I'm concerned about our own safety." Then he walked back to the wood and lit another match. It finally caught at least the kindling on fire. The logs soon followed suit.
