rofl See I'm the exact opposite, I wear skirts, but I do a lot of the spring stuff during the summer with heels so I don't stand out so much. During the winter is when I look like a freak, cause I have all these super nice skirts and it's snowing... or I'll have long skirts with a big hoodie on. >.> Trust me I am not the girl you want representing you guys, I am such a bad first impression.
... then again this was my first winter of wearing skirts >.> so that might ... just maybe be a half decent excuse.
You know what I hate though, is that when you do where long shirts people might think you're a druggie or cutter or something. One of my friend mentioned it how like only druggies and cutters where long sleeves all the time. >.> ninja

Yvette, a LOT of girls in my new (very Jewish and Muslim) neighborhood dress that way. For that matter, so do I, on my days off when I'm just doing housework or errands. I can't be bothered to wear something that I'll have to iron later. I suspect you don't look weird, frumpy, or freaky at all. I suspect you simply feel different because wearing skirts is a new thing for you. Once they're a regular part of your wardrobe, if you go for about three months wearing only skirts, then try to put on some jeans or slacks, you'll feel so exposed and naked that you'll rush right back and change into a skirt.
As for your friend who thinks only druggies and cutters wear long sleeves, I can think of two responses:
* "Well, obviously not, because I wear them, and I'm neither of those things."
* "Uh, you know, it's cold out. Long sleeves help with that."
* "I'm not a druggie or a cutter -- I'm just a feminist. I choose the time, place, manner, and circumstances under which I will expose my body; random strangers don't have a right to see it."
