Brave
Harry Potter Brave as brave can be His heart is filled with victory But deep inside there is a pain It burns bright with steaming a flame Voldemort is after you It repeats again and again But Harry remembers how he didn't fail It has him who had prevailed With kindness and bravery in his heart Harry knows that he must start Harry knows if he gave up (That would make us all upchuck) He would bring shame all of his family His mother didn't fail and she tried her best His father tried to be brave Sirius thought he had won He would bring shame to these amazing people All this hatred and betrayal and shame All to the people that gave him his name.
Yeah, it's not that great but I hope you guys like it

Ohhhh...I like this topic. I love writing poetry period. I have a binder crammed full of poems. And I actually just wrote a poem last night. I wrote it for Severus Snape. And I know that it doesn't rhyme, but that's because I only write free verse because it's easier for me to convey my thoughts and feelings in a poem if it's free verse, so tell me what you guys think after you've read it.
Since the first day I saw her, I knew. I knew this would be the woman I would fall in love with.
I saw her one day on the playground Working her magic. Oh, how beautiful it was. I only wished it would last forever. But they caught me. How her sister was oh so furious
But she, oh yes, she was curious to learn more. Before the letter came, I taught her everything I knew. I told her about wondrous creatures And marvelous places no one but us knew existed. Oh how she loved it.
We left that September morning Amidst smoke and waving hands. It took me forever to find her. There were oh so many people on the train. But finally, there it was. Her red hair. How it just seemed to shine in the sunlight coming through the window. It was so beautiful, it took my breath away.
But when it came down to it, I was ambitious and clever. And she was brave and bold and loyal, Or so we were told. I only hoped we could still be friends.
Time went by. At first, it was easy to remain friends. We were young, and hadn't decided anything yet. But as time passed, It became harder and harder. Our friendship became strained, And our lives took different paths.
Then it happened. One summer day out in the courtyard, The man I hated decided to play a little trick on me. Oh, he thought it'd be funny. And it was. For everyone but me. And her. Oh yes, she tried to help. But I was so furious. And one word. The one word I should never say to her, I said it. Any hopes of a relationship now was gone. Destroyed in that one moment of anger.
I tried to repair things, fix it. Said I was sorry, even tried to prove it. But nothing worked. She never accepted my apologies. But I truly was sorry for what I had done.
We never spoke again. And we went our own seperate ways. I took mine down that dark and evil road That seemed so appealing back then. And she took her own path. I don't even know what she did with her life.
A few years passed. Reading the paper one morning, I saw it. There it was. She had done it. She marriend the man I most hated. And they have a son too! Yet she is still the only woman I love.
And when I heard the rumor And realized I had made a horrible mistake, I begged for her protection. I went to the person I least expected help from. And he said he would protect her and her family. But she and her husband put their Trust in the wrong person. That person betrayed them.
And now she is gone. Forever. It hurts so bad. I never thought any human being Could live through this sort of pain and despair and helplessness. But somehow I made it.
I have turned my life around. My path forward now is clear. I am no longer the person I used to be. Though I must still pretend Because my life almost depends on it.
And now, eleven years later I see her son. Almost everyday. He is the spitting image of his father. Except the eyes. He has her eyes. But he still brings back old and painful memories I'd rather forget. And I'm supposed to protect this boy from harm. I only do it for her. Because I love her.
Time goes by. And the boy is just like his father In so many ways. I don't care what other people say- That he's more like his mother- He is his father through and through. But everything I do for the boy Is out of love for her.
And now he has a mission Set upon his shoulders Where I have to give him all this information Plus more. He will know all of my most guarded secrets And my one weakness.
Now it has been almost 18 years After she has gone. And I still miss her everyday. And I still wish everyday that things had gone differently. But they turned out this way for a reason. And I still love her. I have loved her my entire life, and I always will.
This poem is in it's unedited form for the most part. I changed a few words simply so it would flow better. I wrote this to make it sound like Snape was writing this one night a few weeks before the big the fight at Hogwarts since I included stuff about Harry's mission. It was my intention to not include names, but I'm sure you guys can figure out the people that I talk about in this poem. And remember-I write free verse poetry, so none of my poems ever rhyme.
So if anyone reads this, I'd like to know what you think. Like how I could improve or change in the poem, stuff like that.

AmethystDragon81 This is a great topic and I actually have a poem that a friend and I(whom has moved to another state far away from me) wrote together. It's called Slytherin Pride and we actually performed it at our book store's Deathly Hallows release party. Lucius, Draco, and Phineas Black The Dark Lord is finally back. Gryffindor and Slytherin The fire of the fued is flamed again. Hexes shouted across the hall Defy the serpents and you shall fall. Potions master Severus Snape We'll prove him innocent, it's not too late. In our hearts, Salazar shalt never die Revel in our Slytherin pride.Well, there it is. I didn't say it was good because it isn't really, but tell me what you think. I like it, don't bring yourself down it's not bad, not bad at all.

Cy Black Motorcycles Can't Fly When she sleeps at night she dreams about a flying motorcycle, but they can't fly! Or so she thought. Because in a world created by this young girl Sirius Black can fly a motorcycle. And through her dreams he flies on by. Stopping just to say hi, or maybe grab a quick bite. She awoke from this dream. But still she swears she saw a man upon a motorcycle on her roof last night. But motorcycles can't fly. It can't possibly be true. Unless your a dreamer, Like me...now, are you? this one's cute! 4laugh
