*Djanni smiles*
"A Blessing upon your house then, Vincent Valentine. My friend Perrian spoke true; I am Djanni Barua, sixth daughter of a seventh daughter. I was merely out for a breath of fresh air, when I heard the voice of my comrade here. I do deeply appreciate the invitation to dinner; it has been sometime since I was able to partake of a home-cooked meal."

"No problems. It's been some time since I had company for dinner." Vincent absently stares at nothing for a time before continuing, "Perrian here was just telling me about the goddess Shiva. I've always been somewhat cautious when it comes to big decisions, and I don't want to make a mistake like I did last time." He looks meaningfully at the demonic sword in his hand, its many tendrils buried deep in his skin. A brief sadness covers his eyes, but disappears as he looks to Perrian and Djanni, "Shiva seems to be more akin to me than what I've heard about Ra, but I still need to talk to Master Kail'igen..."

Perrian nodded. "Thanks for inviting Djanni and I over for dinner. Good luck getting in contact with Kail'igen."

"I could always use some luck." Vincent smiles, "So...what questions do you have of me. After all, I am new to the area, and I would be glad to get to know you and Djanni better."

"Well, I've been curious, why is that sword attached to your arm? That is the only question I can think of for now, sir." Perrian said.

*Djanni looks at Vincent's arm, the Fire within reacting strangely to the weapon attached there. It swirls and eddies within her, not enraged, but...curious. It is attracted to this strange weapon, sensing power there. Djanni is wise enough to recognize another curse when she sees one, and wise enough not to speak of it, letting Vincent explain it as he will.*

"Well," Vincent begins, his eyes clouded by pain, "it happened during my first tournament run. I had been blazing through. Then, of course, I reached the sixth floor..." Vincent sighs as he thinks of how to go on, he waits several moments before continuing, "That's when I saw it. It hovered in midair like some disturbing ghost. My curiosity got the best of me...I was foolish and stupid!" he screams as he pounds his remaining fist into the table, sending up small splinters of wood, "I paid for it...As soon as I grabbed this cursed blade, it took its opening. I've never felt such pain before. The handle itself seemed to come to life as it literally imbedded itself in me; it sucked the very life out of me, only to return it as power that I never wanted...I want to be rid of this cursed blade, but I know that if I do, it will be someone else that will suffer the curse next. I can't and won't allow someone else to suffer for my selfishness..." Vincent stares sometime before looking at you both, "I'm sorry. I get worked up sometimes. Looks like the stew is done...I'll get some bowls."

"Ok" Perrian said and thought. "Odd...I saw a blade in the waiting room in my second stage, but I decided to leave it there. I wonder, could that have been the cursed blade?"

"It very well may have been." Vincent says as he sets the delicious food in front of you, "Be glad you did not take it..."

Perrian nods. "If I was a warrior I would have taken it, but I guess it's lucky that I trained in magic, although the fact that I have trained in magic has ruined my life in other ways..."

"I'm glad you like it. It was my mother's recipy. Of course, hers is much better than mine!" he laughs lightly, "By the way Perrian...that was an impressive match we had. That fireball you used was intense! I really must learn that sometime...ha, maybe I'll just stick to sword-swinging instead of spell-slinging!"

"Believe me, when I'm done my training you'll be burned with two fireballs instead of one. Believe me, it'll be wicked." Perrian said and laughed. "Well, still, this food is still delicious! It's also edible!"

"I don't look forward to that... sweatdrop . Still, I will enjoy that fight as I do all other challenges." A quirky smile crosses Vincent's face, "Like making food tasty and edible at the same time blaugh !"
