"Could be both" He answered her first question, a little more unabashed in the obsurity of his answer before he lit out again towards the higher peek. Catching commets would of course, require such a tall place. You couldn't reach the path of ansestors without a -little- help...let alone try and catch one.
The running made his heart feel light, pure joy of knowing that one could go this fast, where you wanted, when you wanted, and with such others.
The hill was steep indeed, hard to keep at it with a run, tretchreous really... but doable. Though he warned of rabbit warrens by the great oak near the top. Dangerous buisness for ankles, once broken...

Her pace slowed only slightly as they approached the hill that wound up so that she could pick her path carefully. Freedom was a beautiful thing, yes... But so was remaining in once piece long enough to enjoy it.
She paused for a moment, head tilting up towards the sky where thousands of tiny, twinkling lights glittered, reflecting in her eyes. Each star shimmering had a name... Each had a story to tell of the sights they had seen. Each one was... "... So beautiful."

He glanced over at her... captured in a moment..
"Yes..." he agreed, though, was it the stars? Or... was it something else that he agreed with. Perhaps both...he glanced up quickly with a flick of his tail.
"Very beautiful" He agreed.

Her head tilted slightly so that she could see him from the corner of her eye while still seemingly gazing at the stars until the sound of her voice broke the spell of momentary silence. "Do you always smile so brightly, Taiki? Or are you more like the stars, shining the brightest at night when in the company of others who are shining as well?

"Shooting stars last for as long as you can chase them... You run rather quickly, Taiki, I am certain that you could chase a shooting star for many miles... And many moons; picking up one night where you left off the last." She was still smiling as she turned to him. "Do you like running alongside shooting stars?"

"Maybe one day you'll find one that you won't have to chase... You can both run side by side." She nickered softly, letting her eyes close for a moment before opening them upon looking to the sky. "It's been such a beautiful night..."

"There is a good chance of that, I'd say..." Her head turned just enough that she could see him properly. "... Especially if you look in the right places... And, perhaps, wish upon a star. I have heard that shooting stars are the luckiest... Then again, I am sure that you know that, chasing after them and all..."

"I'm...feeling very lucky right now... " He blushed up the inside of his ears and bobbed his head.
"I did make a wish but... I have to know something...then I'll know if it came true."
He glanced up at the dust of stars across the night sky for a moment as though seeking courage and then...
"Would you... like to do this again sometime?... "

She looked to him for a moment, gaging his sincerity before nodding, a soft smile still lighting up the features of her face. She leaned in, lightly brushing her nose against the side of his muzzle before touching cheek to cheek. "I would... Tomorrow night, perhaps?"
