I hated that movie. There should be laws against things being that stupid.what are you talking about that movie was awsome and lestat is so hot heart He's hot, yeah. But the acting was sooo bad, the script was shocking... even the storyline was ridiculous. They just butchered the book. The only good thing about it was the breif cameo by Jon Davis.Thank you! It was an insult to the book!

Vampire Kurix Personally, I never have read the book nor seen the movie. I am currently reading Anne Rice's book, "Interview With The Vampire." Very excellent book, I must say. Louis is an absolute compassionist with the humans. At first, all he did was kill animals for blood. He really did cling to his human nature. But, after that one girl, no, not Claudia... but Babette, the landowner. After she was out of the picture, and Claudia came in, I truly loved it. Too bad Babette died from insanity. But, I am loving Armand and Santiago at the moment. How she does so well with making the book! On a very embarassing note, with the first scene in Armand's theater, I kinda got an erection reading about that young girl getting stripped down to the nude, then getting fed on.... redface It left me with dirty thoughts the entire school day, and a lump in my jeans. Yes... very sick to type, and I apologize to all. But, I just had to share that. On a bit of a side note, other than romance novels, has any other person gotten turned on while reading a book? You don't truly have to answer. I'm just curious... and weird. sweatdrop If you do answer, though... heart 3nodding xd biggrin cool Honey, that scene turned us all on (or at least it should have in my opinion!) It was fairly well done in the movie "Interview with a Vampire," as well (now that movie was well done... so much better than the pathetic atempt at Queen of the damned!)

If you've read the book, you cannot but hate the movie. Thirded.
It's a bastardization of "The Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned", and I frankly can't blame Anne Rice for not wanting to make her books into movies anymore. For one, it's SUPPOSED to be set in the late 1980s. Lestat is not supposed to lead a nu-metal band (a shitty one at that). Lestat is blonde, and has a distinct FRENCH accent.
Vampires, in the Anne Rice world, cannot have sex. Lestat said it himself (in, I believe, the second book) that the only gift he didn't have pertained to his genitals.
But sure, if you haven't read the books, then it's a fine modern B-movie. "Interview with the Vampire" was still a much better movie, and I believe that Lestat was Tom Cruise's best role.
Oh, side note- Anne Rice didn't want a black person playing the part of Akasha, or so I've heard.

Oh, side note- Anne Rice didn't want a black person playing the part of Akasha, or so I've heard. Yeah, there was some controversy over that because some of the people thought that Ms. Rice was trying to be racist, but in reality, she just wanted the movie to be like the book.

im a big fan of Anne rice I love her work sadly i havent sat down to read queen of the damned. But I have watched it. Good movie but I have heard it is nothign like the book in alot of ways So I must read it as well Im sure its much better in the words of anne Rice her self.
I read her books and kinda of a random order though I shoudlnt I had First been introduced by reading The Vampire Armand Loved it! Then Memnoch the Devil magnifisent I attempted to read the body theif but at that time was to caught up in other life thignsa to sit down and injoy it so i never got to realy read any of it. So next i read Interview with a Vampire great book. I wish Cluadia hadn't have died, i to feel like Luis at times in the fact and the sounds of Cluadia I to would probably would have had alot of feelings for such a person.
Now im Reading Blood Canticle sounds pretty interesting right now. After ward im taking a step outside the Vampire chronicals and into the life of Jesus Christ , pfft why not. Im going to read her newest book Christ the Lord ( Out of Egypt).
Any ways im sure some of you probly find me anouying, one ebing that this is about one book in particular and im raving on about all the books I have read, So I apologeise to any body who is Iggnorant enough to say there botherd by this whench they could have stoped reading from the first. smile any ways.
i ll be sure to read Queeen of the damned at some point.
