He tried hard to gauge her reaction to what he said, though he knew he'd have to explain exactly what he was trying to say- there was no way around it now. When she repeated what he'd said, Habu nodded carefully. Then he took a deep breath as he prepared to explain everything. That was all that he really could do now.
"Yes, ever since I was little, though it wasn't too bad then," he explained, "It was only occasional, and not very intense or hard to follow. It got worse after my mom left, after the first time I actually ran into a pair of brothers I'd had a vision about."
He thought of Trig and Kinari with a shudder. The encounter hadn't been too pleasant, but certainly taught him to be careful if he decided he was going to offer interpretations of the things he saw to those he saw them about.
"A lot of seers come about as mortal children of gods," Habu continued carefully, "Not all seers are, but all mortal cubs of gods are seers. Which.. explains why I am."

When Intombi had decided to go searching for a den that morning, she had never expected to come across Habu. She'd never expected to find him sleeping and relatively better looking from the last time they'd come across eachother. Least of all, had she expected to have a conversation with him about his visions. She listened to him quietly, doubting her doubt more and more every second. It still seemed like such a crazy idea, but his voice was so calm and so stable, she had trouble not trusting it. She nodded as he went on, following everything that was said, but still wearing a confused look. She was a little happier that the visions weren't so bad when he was little, though. She couldn't imagine what it'd be like to be a youngster and see vivid pictures and not understand them at all.
What was most shocking out of the entire short speech was the ending, which she figured he knew anyway. Her eyes widened a little bit as everything clicked. That would make him.. the son of one of those gods he had been talkng about? When he had talked about his father and the new mate, he'd never mentioned any godly powers. Had he just left that part out? Or was his god parent his mother? "You're... parent was a god?" She wasn't really sure how to react to that. "That's a tiny detail you've left out when you talked about gods..."

Habu hadn't really expected to be seeing so much of Intombi, especially where he'd just relocated, but he could hardly say he wasn't happy to see her. It'd been awhile since he'd had a close friend, and seeing Intombi always made him rather happy- even if he constantly appeared to be out of his mind. But then, this seemed to be the last little bit off oddness that he had to get out, so hopefully it wouldn't scare her off.
"Tiny detail," he repeated with a quiet laugh, "That's why I knew so much, I guess. My mother is the goddess of souls, she's the one who taught me about my dreams and about gods. Well, her and a god friend I have.."

Intombi no longer thought Habu was crazy, but she definately found the situation a little crazy. She'd never be chased away by something weird like this, though it definately was throwing her off track for a few moments. She wouldn't deny that it was a bit odd, but maybe it was only odd because she wasn't too familiar with the gods and godly things such as powers and visions. She'd never met one, and this was the first child of a god she knew (at least, as far as she knew). Even though she was confused, though, she wouldn't leave her friend over it. She'd not kept in touch with Noyama, and she hadn't sene Mzuza in a long time. Habu was her only constant friend, if she was being honest with herself. Plus, he was just plain easy to trust. For an almost overly trusting girl like Intombi, it was good to have a friend who was actually trust worthy and deserving of it.
She giggled a little, glad to break the serious mood with at least a tiny joke. "Goddess of souls..." her voice trailed off again as she considered what he had said. Something clicked in the back of her mind. The first time she had met Habu, and had been told about gods, he had used the goddess of souls as an example. A bright, warm smile formed on her face. "Ahh, that makes sense. So the nightmares, then, they really were... I can't imagine what that's like." She was starting to feel sorry for him. She wouldn't want visions, especially if they kept her awake. Sleep was healthy, and good for the looks. Without he cat naps and good night rests, she'd be ugly and unhealthy. Not an appealing state of being.

Habu was happy to see that Intombi no longer looked quite as doubtful, and even crack a smile. It didn't look like she was going to make fun of him or think he was crazy now, and that was enough to put him more at ease. Momentarily feeling better, he took the time to stretch out his front legs and wiggle his toes. He had just woken up, after all. Taking this time, he noticed his feather was still on the den floor and tried to make a mental note to pick it up before too-too long.
"It's usually not so bad," he said, "Unless it gets out of control, like it did, where it's just like.. sensory overload and making no sense whatsoever. Some things do make more sense, like when I saw Trig and Kinari.. and those cubs.."
He trailed off, thinking of the two cubs he'd just seen and wondering again if his mother had a new family. Then another memory of a vision suddenly struck him, not about any random lions but also not about those mysterious cubs. It was Kiwi, he'd seen something about his aunt..
"Maji," he mumbled under his breath, without even really thinking about it. Then he snapped out of it, shaking his head, "W-well, it takes some thinking to get any of it to make sense, but some is easier to figure out.." Habu's nose was wrinkled thoughtfully at this latest revelation from one of his visions.

Intombi nodded as if she understood, even though she didn't. She figured he was getting into the thinking out loud mode now, and so didn't bother him by asking him to explain what he was saying too much. She did follow most of it, though, until he reached the cubs bit. She didn't say anything about it quite yet, but simply sat there trying to figure out what cubs he might be talking about. Since the brothers had been given names, she doubted they were "those cubs." When he continued on with his random talking, she only got more lost, though she did make a large effort to follow. Cubs and Maji stuck out the most, since those were the two most confusing things said. She peiced together everything else to sum it all up into an easier sentence: sometimes the visions were hard to understand. She could only imagine how difficult they must be, since she hardly ever understood her own dreams. A vision must be way worse.
"What cubs?" She decided to start with the most intriguing one. Cubs were a soft spot for her, and it'd be a topic that she could follow easier and be able to pay complete attention to. Not that she wasn't interested in what else Habu had to say or anything, but it was just a matter of interest. Random names she never heard didn't stand out as interesting to her, but babies... now that was a fun one.

Habu had the sudden urge to go and check on his aunt and uncles, though he pushed it out of his mind for now. He had thought about this logically before, if he saw a vision of the future anything he did to try to stop it would really only help to cause whatever it was he saw. Therefore, if he did or did not do anything wouldn't matter because it was how things were meant to be. At least, that's how it made sense to him. If his latest suspicions were right, though, he'd want to check in soon.
In the meantime, though, perhaps Intombi could help him figure this out.
"A small yellow and brown one, and a white and purple one," he described them carefully, immediately thinking of his mother when he put all the colors together. They were all colors you found on Mtima'safi, except for the black color that had been on the boy. "It didn't really seem like it was too far in the past or future, though I'm not really sure how you'd tell for sure. They reminded me of my mother.."
Trailing off with that, he admitted aloud his suspicion about the two cubs, implying that they could be connected to his mother somehow. Kilango did not even cross his mind, nor did he himself, for his encounter with Amadet was long since blurred out in his mind.

Intombi considered the cubs looks for a few moments. The purple and black one wasn't throwing off any red flags, though she was somewhat reminded of her own family. Her mother and brother had been black and pink. She'd been the only one with brown on her at all. Well, she supposed her father must've been at least a little brown in order for her to have some, but she'd never met him. Or maybe her mom's parents had brown? She really had no clue, as she'd never met any of her family besides her mother and brother, who were now pretty much gone from her life. She might come across one of them again sometime, but now that she'd joined the Pridelands, she somehow doubted it.
The yellow and brown one, however, seemed quite obvious. Habu was almost all yellow. She smiled a little, trying to imagine him as a little baby. He must've been quite the cutie to look like he did now, but she was getting off topic. The fact that these cubs were somewhere in the not too distant past or future, and that they reminded Habu of his mother, lead to one logical conclusion. A family member had had babies. She didn't automatically connect it to his mother, seeing as she knew that he had cousins and a sister. "Does any of your family look kind of like your mom? Maybe a cousin or someone had a litter. There seems to be a lot of new little ones running around the Pridelands lately." She didn't know that his relations were on his father's side, so she simply assumed that a cousin had had a litter.

Habu was not making the connection to himself or Kilango, to him that just seemed impossible. However, Kilango did become a possibility as soon as Intombi mentioned a cousin possibly having babies- he was reminded of what she had said when he'd run into, when he asked why she was back.
I came back to settle down with my mate ...
Kilango had a mate, they could have had cubs. He shuddered, unable to give any offspring of Kilango's the automatic benefit of the doubt, but the more he thought about it, the more it became a possibility.
"My entire family is on my father's side, only my sister could have cubs like that," he said thoughtfully. So it was down to Kilango or his mother, and he didn't know which he felt better about.

The answer seemed obvious to Intombi. Habu's sister had had cubs. "Then it must be your sister, right?" She hadn't a clue what the lioness might look like, but figured she'd look something like Habu. Then again... The only similarity she and her brother had was the pink. Other than that, they looked quite different. He didn't have a spot of brown on him, and she didn't have a spot of grey. If Habu's sister was the same way, could she have a cub that was yellow? Possibly. Intombi had never really studied the looks of any cubs compared to their parents or their aunts and uncles before, so she wasn't entirely sure what traits a baby might inherit. If she had cubs, would any of them have her brother's grey? Would any of Habu's cubs look like his sister?
"I wonder what our cubs would look like." She said it without a thought as to how it could be taken. At that moment, she had been deep in thought, considering her small family tree. All of sudden, she realized what had been said. "I mean.. What your cubs would look like. And what mine would look like. Not ours." She stared at him wide eyed for a moment, unsure if she should rapidly switch back to the old topic or just act like nothing had happened. "Uhm... what if your mom had more cubs, then?" She was hoping that he wouldn't focus on her little slip up.

"That suddenly seems most likely," Habu said faintly, wondering if his sister could possibly have such cheerful seeming cubs. Would she be so lucky to have cubs so resembling their mother? She had the purple, the boy was most possible it seemed to him. Having more experience with cubs since his family was so large, Habu was quite sure Kilango could in fact have a yellow daughter. When Intombi suddenly speculated about their cubs, Habu did not take it quite how Intombi thought he might- at first. Initially, he assumed it to be a hypothetical "what if we had cubs" question you might ask a friend just to see what you might think up. Until she corrected herself.
Then he chuckled awkwardly, realizing it might be odd that he didn't seem so alarmed by her slip.
"W-well-" he started, but ended up simple shrugging and giving her time to change the subject. To that question he only had another shrug, "I'd be a little.. hurt, I think. Why couldn't she stay here, if she did something like that? Or why could I have gone with her? Well, I like it here.. but I'd at least like to know where she is.."

Intombi fiddled with her paws for a few seconds, not sure what to say next. She felt badly for Habu, since he seemed so offended by is parents having more kids. She personally wouldn't care if her father went and had a new mate (seeing as she didn't even know the lion). She also wouldn't care if her mother had another litter. She wasn't even sure if she'd go track down her mother to see the new litter, to be totally honest. It wasn't that she didn't care about her mother or anything like that. She just... didn't have very close family ties. She sort of wanted them, now that she had seen Habu and how much his family affected him. Sure, he was sad, but he was sad because of family. Intombi had no idea what that felt like. It must be awfully special.
"I'm glad you didn't go with her." She touched his paw again, trying to comfort him. If his mother did have another litter, she was guessing he'd go through the same thing that he'd gone through when his dad had a new baby. "Maybe, if she had more kids, she'll tell you somehow? Or maybe she knew that you'd see them in your visions..." She trailed off into quietness, not sure how to comfort him. This was an entirely foreign field for her. Visions, a goddess and a close family; she hardly knew how to help.

Habu was well aware of the fact that most of this conversation was well outside of Intombi's knowledge, she wouldn't really know what to say. He wasn't sure anyone would, he wasn't even sure himself. If his mother did leave just to have more cubs with someone else, he would be hurt that she didn't keep him in her life- but what would he expect otherwise? Maybe this was just an excuse for him, he would never be completely satisfied with how his mother left.
"It's hard to say what will be in a vision," he said with a sigh, "I'm sorry, whenever I see you I think all we talk about it my problems. It can't be very interesting for you- have you been enjoying yourself here?"

Intombi looked at him strangely for a moment, unsure of what to say. Did he seriously think that she minded hearing all of this? If she had minded, she would've changed the subject quietly. She might've not openly said she wasn't interested in talking about it, but she'd have done something to let him know. "Habu, I don't mind. Really, I don't. If it helps you to talk about it, I'm cool with it." She tried to smile sweetly, but it came off as a little bit sad. "Don't be sorry." Though she didn't understand most of the subject matter, she wanted him to know that he could unload it on her anyway. "I'm here if you need me, okay? No matter how uninteresting you think it is." That time she did manage to get out a sincerely happy smile.
Deciding it was best not to stay on that subject, she followed his lead and went on to the next thing. "I love it here, y'know. I really do. I just kinda wonder if I should be hunting down my old friend from when we were cubs. And I haven't seen Mzuza or Safuma in a while... I should hunt them down, too. Really, you're the only one I keep bumping into." She looked outside the cave absently. "I think I need to find a den. I've been sleeping whereever I fall lately, and it worked for a while but... a girl's gotta have a real place to stay, y'know? Besides, it can't be good for my coat to be out in the cold every night."

Habu kept on smiling even when she gave him a strange look, he didn't want to offend her or anything- but it seemed to be very true, their conversations their last two encounters had been a great deal about him. But now he was getting better, he was sleeping more and he was feeling more cheerful and energetic. There was no reason to complain or worry. Explaining wasn't so bad, it helped prove he wasn't a nutcase and he didn't mind sharing with Intombi.
"I know, but I shouldn't be worrying myself or you with any of that stuff, it's all hypothetical and things are getting better, no reason to drag the conversations down again," he said brightly, and listened carefully to what she said.
"You could stay here," Habu blurted out before even he realized what he was saying, it was almost a reflex for him- if she needed a place to stay, he was more than willing to share his space. That might mean explaining the feather, though. After a second, he continued, trying to recover from potentially awkwardness, "Until you find somewhere for yourself, I mean.."
