She smiled brightly and licked him on the cheek. "Thanks for understanding brother!" She said, it was the first time she had refered to him that way. Before it was always 'Ewan'. "I'll let you know as soon as something happens." She waged her tail back and forth before she returned to the den.
"Don't worry mum, he's not going to come in." She said as she rested by her mother. "He just wants to make sure nothing happens to you."

Ewan settled in the sand, kneading two impressions in the sand as his claws flexed in and out, fiddling with his paws nervously. Hell, he could hear his mother's breathing from here... The air smelt of blood and sea salt and the gods only knew what else. Not that he believed in gods mind. But if any happened to be watching over the den, he wouldn't complain. His mother wasn't as young as she once was and this as the biggest litter she'd ever had. It scared him a bit.
Rahima still growled softly. She was hurting and happy and also oddly scared. If anything happened, if anything did... at least they were well guarded. No hyena or the like would snatch her cubs. Jina wasn't the best midwife either, but atleast she was a comforting presence. It'd be okay.
"I still don't like it, but fine. They should be here soon anyway."

Jina started to groom her mother's head. "Don't worry, everything is going to be okay." She said, trying to calm her down, and make her feel comfortable.
