"Okie~ Kainda! That's a pretty name!" She sniffled a little and canted her head, glancing at the 'doggy's' round belly. She was about to give an innocent comment about it when Muroki announced himself as the King of the pride.
"Did you hear that Mummy? He's the King!" She bounced. "We can trust him, can't we?" She widened her eyes, pleading. "Of course we can." She purred happily and opened her mouth to speak when Nyoka tightened his coils around her throat, squeezing the words away and silencing her.
She choked and pawed at the snake's coils. "Nee-oh-kah!" A stray claw poked his body and slowly Nyoka slipped down to the ground.
"Ssstop being a fool, cub." He sent a glance back to Koya and narrowed his eyes. Deciding that he should take over this situation before it got wildly out of control, Nyoka settled himself between Rokopelli's forelegs and peered up at the lion and dog. Ugh...why was he putting up with this?
"We have travelled far in sssearch of the forgotten pride." He spoke. "If you ssspeak the truth then we have finally found the place." He tightened his coils and the black tongue flicked between his lips.
"I am Nyoka..." He hesitated. "Friend of thessse two felinesss." He hissed, letting the last word drag. "We wisssh to join your pride if you would allow it." But why...he thought to himself. Because Rokopelli was once here long ago? No, he couldn't say that without revealing the truth. Though that had been the original plan. Find the king, tell him the truth and ask him to keep their true identities secret.

Koya was beginning to grow more and more relaxed as the minutes passed and still they had not been attacked. Though she remained on guard, she was starting to feel as if these two really meant no harm and were friendly. Showing that the tension was slowly leaving her body, the gray female relaxed her muscles and smiled warmly at the two strangers, nodding in agreement when Roko spoke of Kainda being a pretty name.
Unlike Roko who had become excited and happy as she was told that this male was the king of the pride they sought, Koya felt her heart beat against her chest and her stomach turn and tumble.
"I heard, Roko," she spoke quietly despite her sudden nervousness. She had expected to have more time before she had to confront the king. She had wanted more time to prepare herself and her nerves. Being face to face with the king now nearly killed her illusion. Thankfully, however, she had more control over herself than that and so she remained mortal-looking.
The goddess in disguise was about to say something to Roko when Nyoka suddenly curled tighter and choked the words from the little female. She bristled and bared her fangs protectively at the snake, ready to bite him if that was what it took to make him release Roko. Thankfully, whether it was because he had decided to or whether the poke from Roko forced him to let her go, he slipped from her neck and to the ground. She stepped back slightly and glared at the snake for a moment before he began speaking. Once he did, she forced herself to calm down and simply listened.
Stepping closer to Roko, the bigger female licked the top of her head and her ears. She was truly concerned about Roko's safety but at the same time she was trying to act as motherly as possible. If she didn't, they're story would be questioned.
When Nyoka mentioned that they wished to join the pride, Koya's blue eyes settled back on the other two. She nodded and stood firmly beside Roko, showing that it was indeed the reason for their being in this place. Now, all she could do was wait.
