Perhaps a certain weapon type that upgrades per rank.

Lets say the sword idea.

Rank 1 would be a short sword or possibly knife. Rank two would make it more powerful and longer and eventually two may be achieved on a much higher rank.


I agree. This is going to take forever. I still have to figure out how the storyline is going to go and there is still alot of flaws in the "battle system"

Not too bad. I have been trying to come up with a new name for "Mosquito."
"Cattle" needed a name change.

Yeah, I know. Those were stupid names haha. I also switched wanderer and aprentice cuz I thought they were out of order.

New attack name although I don't know about the abilities of it. Also it fits the humans more than vampires. "Skewer"

Okay, here's the big Stink-Bomb. You guys may just hate me for this, but....
You might be basing the guild structure too much on the gaia event.

If you want to rank Slayers within the guild, you should prolably do it on a participation basis. A good way to do this is to award points for participation and good RPing. Put a list of all members on a stick, next to their name have their current points and rank within the guild. This way they can see, but can't alter where they stand in the guild.

The dice thing sounds like a good idea, but people are going to get discouraged if they can never get a hit in/always get whomped by a player of significantly higher level. Also, this form of combat tends to get complicated when you factor inthat their are more ways to attack your opponent than merely running at them with a sword. Then you get into dexterity rolls, and then you have counter rolls, etc. In the end everyone is just rolling dice for everything.

On the subject of weapon assignment, it's going to leave a bad taste in peoples mouthes if they are restricted to just this weapon, and what happens if someone throws a rock/ Wil we have to assign damage for every object that could possibly be a weapon.

The best solution for all of this is to keep weapon damage and a characters health realistic. If you get shot, you go down (though not neccessarily dead). You may want to restrict charactes on a tech. level. Like they cannot use ion cannons, because they do not exist in this setting.
Use dice when their is a conflict that will go on fotrever in a "nuh-uh, you didn't hit me, I hit you!" situation.

also, People are also going to be different races, we alrweady have alycan. They will naturally have abilities that others never can. I mean, we could have a kind oof academy where maybe there are moves and styles that can be learned, but assigning numbers to everything takes the fun out of RPing. If things start to get rediculous, you just have a moderator fair things oyt, ex. "okay, well, you whip jesse, but you can't dodge andys attack at the same time."

Well, I got tired of the same old Rping. You can still do that but in the main storyline of the RP these are regulations to keep things fare and fun after you get used to it. Assigned weapons aren't that big of a deal, I mean when you join the army they don't hand you a bazooka and say, "Have fun." I will keep it in mind though. Ppl can still customize there weapons but only to the extent of the level they are on.

I thought that the rest was pretty accurate. A stronger attack causes you to lose more heart. As for this being to based upon the event, i can't really help that. There isn't really anything saying that this is Human vs. Vampires except all the names. You don't really have to be either if you don't want. This is mostly a preference thing. If you don't want to go by this then you start a thread with different rules in the first post.

That was my main fear. I want it different from Gaia's event because it would be like copying what just ended. A few elements can be thrown in, but original ideas must be present. That is what this is all about.

Most of that is suggestions and arguments to prove your point. If we had a few more doing that we could have kinks ironed out quickly.

Believe me this is a very simple system compared to ones I have seen. All you have to do is add up your points as you gain them. Then you report it in a thread so everyone can see it. You should go to this Bleach guild, wow was it confusing. They explain it in the FAQ section but it takes hours to figure it out. Mine about 15 mins.

Okay, I'll prolly change it from those two races tomorrow. So, how should the story start after we get everything else set up? Like I mean we can't all start at the first rank, but we can't all be high ranking officers either, and what will be the background story?

Ok, I'm looking for names for the two new factions. Then we'll take a vote on it. Also, any ideas for the storyline. I'm thinking that my officers will start in there current positions. And they would control there own groups and stuff.

I know three post in a roll such a kill joy. Anywho, I go this idea that make this a lil' more fun. instead of having certain attacks that can do certain things, we make were you make up your own personal attack but that attack has only as much power that rank can handle.

Example:

Instead of having the Hewer, which adds one point for a victorious attack, we just say that anyone on the second rank earns an attack that, adds one point. Then you yourself makes up the name for the attack and what it looks like, ect.

I think it might make it more fun.
