Memetuka bit her lip, she'd been misinterpreted- but then she hadn't been very clear. That was the obvious way of taking what she said, and she offered a small smile despite the fact that his eyes were off to some point beyond her.

"Just don't sit around everyday, all the time, though," she said, making an effort to clarify, "It's sweet that you would wait, but if that's all the occupied your time- w-would she really want that?"

It was hard, trying to imagine herself in other paws- she'd trapped herself in her own for so long, living alone and guilty. She could hardly remember the depth of her feelings for Abedari, just that there was at least a strong infatuation there that had torn her away from home. And that was all the experience she had to draw upon, she'd been mostly alone her time as a rogue.

Feo's ear swiveled forward as he heard the lioness studder. Was that a slip, or was there something more? Feo wasn't hoping that she wasn't upsetting her; he really didn't want to do anything like that! That was just something that he never wanted to do, to anyone he ever met!

Instead of focusing on that and apologizing over it, something that might of embarassed the lioness lady, he instead chose to not ignore it, but let it pass for now. Now to concentrate on what she said, and not how she said it.

"Perhaps not. Alright, I won't sit here everyday. I'm sure my mother would figure it out soon enough, she's pretty smart. Have you met her? Shomoro. Perhaps not, I've got little sibilings that keep her busy." He paused for a moment, until something dawned on him. "Oh, I er, never introduced myself! I'm Feo, pleasure to meet you, miss."

Meme winced inwardly when she saw the way Feo reacted to her stammering, though it wasn't given much attention when he focussed only on the words- she decided that as awkward as she sounded, he must be paying more attention to what she said. The idea made her feel weird, for it was not something she often experienced- her only friends were the hares that lived with her, after all.

She smiled at the mention of his mother, though she didn't have much to add to his commenting about her. It'd been so long since she'd seen her own mother, of course, and she had no experience being a mother (which she took full blame for).

"I've met very few of the lions here," she confessed shyly, clawing absently at the dirt, "You'd be the third, first after my meeting with the queen." It was a simple enough admission, seeing as it was perfectly true- as long as she did not count the meeting with Shiri. When he suddenly remembered they had forgotten to introduce themselves, Meme smiled sheepishly, "Oh, it's a pleasure to meet you too, Feo. I'm Memetuka."

Feo's curiosity raised it's head again as Memetuka admitted to not directly meeting very many lions. Hmm. She must of said hi to a couple of them, right? I mean...how else did you get around without knowing very many? It seemed hard to avoid anyone here, since the pride was so large, and there was always something going on somewhere.

Feo shrugged it off, though. He couldn't admit to being a social butterfly, who was he to judge?

"Memetuka...I'll remember that." He bobbed his head with emphasis. "You've been very helpful, please let me reassure you! I guess I'm just tired of waiting," he said with a grin. Truth was always the one that hurt, but he was always taught that it was much better then a lie. "I'll be sure to keep myself busy. I'm sure my mother needs help with my little siblings, such crafty things, cubs can be. You'd better watch out, I swear the newer ones running around have some gene that makes them so sly!" He laughed, thinking about his little sister Azi, the lone girl out of many, many brothers.

Meme couldn't hold back a smile, a genuine smile, when Feo said he would remember her name. It was odd to imagine having something resembling a friend, or even friendly acquaintance.

"I'm sorry I can't be too encouraging, my own experience is rather, well, not what you'd want to hear about," she said sadly, feeling the need to defend her being so pessimistic, "I'm sure your mother would appreciate the help, and your siblings should love the time with you."

She smiled at his warning, and though she didn't say it her worries were not on crafty cubs. Perhaps running into cubs would be intimidating, but she'd take it over confronting Shiri right now. Or, she thought so.

Feo shrugged off Memetuka's apology, seeing it as nothing important. "It's okay, really. Actually, no one has the answer, really. I know, I guess I'm just impatient. I should be the one apologizing!" He laughed at himself, letting his tail flop behind him as his laughter slowly died off.

"Well, it was a pleasure, but I'm sure my mother is looking for me, making sure that I'm not doing what I was just doing until I met you. It would be my pleasure to see you again, Memetuka," he said warmly, giving her a small bow of respect.

Meme only response to Feo saying he should be the one apologizing was a meek smile. She perked up a bit when he said his mother was probably looking for him, and made to make a getaway.

"Then don't let me catch you back here too often," she said pathetically, just barely managing a mock-serious tone- which drew an embarrassed look from the lioness. But hopefully, one silly comment wouldn't ruin their encounter. Keeping an eye out for Feo obsessing here would give her something to do, it could be used as an excuse to get out and about- even though she was the only one who needed convincing.

Feo laughed lightly at Memetuka, though it really wasn't at her in a negative manner. Still at himself, actually. "Alright, alright," he agreed. "It was good to meet you, Memetuka, I hope to cross paths with you again sometime."

He gave her a small bow to offer his repsect and true thanks in her direction before slowly getting up to his feet. He knew that he should return home, but that didn't mean he wanted to. So he'd drag his feet home, acting a bit cubbish since he wasn't getting what he was wanting.

With another nod, he picked his feet up and followed on the path home, slipping into the mass of lions that hovered around the base of Pride Rock, all around it, to where he seemed to melt away into the mass of bodies, off on his way home to check on his sibilings, and his mother.

Meme did her best to smile as he laughed, for it wasn't too hard to tell it was a good natured laugh. One good experience seemed to be all that she needed to cheer up a bit. Far from confident, she at least had some hope that she could continue to become more social instead of becoming some crazy lioness living near Priderock with a family of hares.

"It was good to meet you too, Feo," she said truthfully, and hesitated a moment watching him go off before moving on herself.
