Elizabeth could sense him being uneasy. "Well, don't worry about it. You do not know me very well, so it is not really my business." She gently placed a hand on his back, and felt that there was little to no pulse. She gulped, though trying to be friendly still.
Elizabeth watched as the bats zoomed around the sky, catching insects and devouring them. She noticed that one seemed to take his time, while the other was quick to grap at anything nearby. "So what are their names? You seem to all be pretty close." Elizabeth noticed her crown was starting to tilt her halo, and she quickly adjusted it while waiting for a response.

"The one that is grabbing everything close by is Tyrell, while the other one is Odell." Fable explained. Just by watching how those two caught there food showed their personality. Tyrell was always quick to jump into things head first with out thinking. Odell on the other hand was like the voice of reason. He always thought things through before makign a decision.
"You had mention someone named "Sofia" ealier. What is this person to you?" Fable asked in wonder. He had wished that he had a friend that would understand him and not be afriad, but that friend was dead now.

She had wanted to avoid the subject of Sofia for now, but Elizabeth chose talk a bit about her, anyway. "She's a friend of mine. Sofia is busy right now, though. She is much older than me." Well, it seemed the whole truth did not come out. Sofia was more than a friend, and she was not so busy. Rather...
"I see the big dipper!" Elizabeth squealed, changing the subject. "The stars are awfully pretty tonight, don't you think?"

Fable took a glance at the stars and nodded to her in agreement. He was so used to seeing the stars though. I guess you could say that his stars were like her sun. Now, on the other hand...What was this big dipper she was talking about? "What is this "big dipper" you speak of? he asked.
Tyrell and Odell were having to much fun catching bugs and eating the their hearts content to hear the conversation that went on between Elizabeth and their master.

Elizabeth smiled, and pointed to three bright stars, and then a few other near those. "If you were to connect all those stars together, it would like kind of like a cup with a handle. That's the big dipper." She then pointed to another set of stars, but smaller. "That's the little dipper there. I hear that there are other shapes in the stars, but I am still learning how to find those."
From no where, she grabbed a book out and handed it to him. It had stars pictured on the cover.

Fable nodded in understanding. So it wasn't the name of one star....It was the name of a group of stars. He look bewildered as she handed him a book out of nowhere. 'How does she do that?' he thought in wonder. that seemed like a nice skill to have.
Tyrell and Odell had their fill from the bugs and began to grow bored. Odell placed himself on top of Fable's hat while Tyrell resumed flying around Elizabeth. Tyrell wanted to touch her halo but he knew that Fable would scold him about it so he kept his distance.

Elizabeth giggled at the circles Tyrell was performing around her head. She reached up to try and catch him, but she remembered: this was Tyrell. So instead, Elizabeth pretended to adjust her crown slightly. "You may keep that book, by the way. You may find it fun, or it may even come in handy." She smiled, placing a hand on his back gently. He had no heartbeat, but Fable was....warm.
"I think the sun may be about to come up, and we both shouldn't be out here when that happens. People don't always like me, and I heard vampires don't like the sun..." She hoped what she said did not sound rude, as it had to her ears. "I mean...I don't want you to get hurt!" She threw herself around him, holding him in a tight, squeezing hug.

Fable looked down at the book in wonder. "Thank you. I will read it." he replied with a nod of his head. He didn't mind as she placed her hand on his back. He actually found it comforting. He had been taken by surprise when she had decided to throw her arms around him. he was not used to such contact. He wasn't sure how to react to it at first. He slowly placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Thank you for worrying about me. I think that we should both be heading toward safety then." he softly said with a light frown on his face. He had gotten used to her company that he had nearly forgotten what it was like to speak to another like himself instead of his bats.

Elizabeth found herself walking with him to find shelter, and feeling quite comfortable. He was a vampire, after all, and sometimes...they bite. Really, the only worrying part was the two bats, and she felt that Fable could keep them at bay if they became too aggressive.
As they were walking, he spoke so softly that she almost missed everything he said. "That is what friends are for, right? Everyone needs someone to lean on!" She smiled at him, then pointed to an abandoned church. "That place looks alright. Would you like to go in there? ...Or is that bad?" She frowned, not exactly sure.

Fable felt a small smile come across his face as Elizabeth walked with him to find some shelter. He watched as Tyrell and Odell follow after them. Tyrell was flying ahead and inspecting the area. Odell perched himself on Fable's shoulder and eyed Elizabeth. He yawn and folded his wings around himself.
Fable smiled at Elizabeth. "Yes, friends." he softly said with a nod. He looked at the abandoned church that she pointed out to him. "I don't mind heading in. " he replied. He didn't mind the idea of taking shelter for once. he just hoped that it really was abandoned though. He had his own mental hesitations, but he didn't want Elizabeth to go there on her own either.

They continued to walk until they were at the steps of the old church. Sensing something was wrong, she turned to face her friend.
Fable seemed to be nervous about going in, and he could be right; it could be hazardous to go inside. Thinking a moment, she suddenly and most randomly snapped her fingers. "If you're nervous about going in, I could check it out for you. Better yet, so could Odell and Tyrell."
Carefully, she opened the door's and peered in. Everything seemed fine, but old floors can be deceiving. Nodding, she was waiting for him to give the go.

Fable was nervous when Elizabeth stepped inside. She nodded to him to signal that it was safe. He told in a deep breath and slowly followed her inside. Tyrell had no hesitation in zipping inside. He giggled with glee as he flew around and inspected every nook and cranny of the place. Odell followed Elizabeth's lead and perched himself on her crown. it made such a good look out spot.
Fable looked at the bats to see that they were at ease. He looked over at Elizabeth a smiled lightly. May be this place wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.

Upon entering what seemed to be the kitchen, she found herself browsing through old cabinets. Nothing but old cobwebs remained, and her tummy had started to rumble. Glancing up at her crown, Elizabeth noticed that one of the bats had taken it to being a nice chair.
Deciding it would be best to rejoin Fable, she flew back into the main hallway where he was standing. From what she could tell, he seemed to be admiring everything, but it was also dark and hard to be certain. Carefully she landed and walked towards him, checking the floor as she went. "Everything looks safe, but I have yet to see the upper floors. Will you be staying the night?"
