because the teens are the more emotional age
i dont think youd like it as much if the main charecter was old

I agree I feel the story has more appeal if the characters are in their teens... there's just more conflict that way. Shojo manga is for teen girls anyways, so why not create characters who we can relate to? Thats one of the pinpoints of manga characters, create a main character that the readers can really relate too.

It appeals to the fans that can relate or want to relate to the situation. ((usually the fans are teen girls)) That and maybe for Watase teen girls are the easiest people to draw and she likes drawing them.

i just think giving themselves up (not emotionally) between 14-16 is kind of wrong in a way. i donno that's just the way i see it. but i respect all your opinions

What do you mean by "giving themselves up"? Do you mean having sex? If so, each character that has sex has been in a relationship with the guy for a while and they have shown deep love for each other. I think it sets a good example.

Also, 14-16 is the average age for girls to lose their virginity now. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with sex as long as you love the person you're with which is shown throughout Watase's mangas.

a lot of the fans are 10-13.

imagining having affairs and being powerful is an important fantasy outlet for that age; they can identify.

any kid who does some s**t cuz their hero is doing it IS A ******** RETARD!!!
I hate whenever people think that what kids watch/read will result in them being ******** RETARDED.
i never did s**t cuz i saw it or read it.
and i can say the same for some others i know.

the kids who do have issues and need to be lined up and shot so they won't bring society down

Well.. Every shoujo manga will appeal with young age heroin anyway.
