Celebor didn't need a second invitation - he whipped the door of the portal open and dashed through without waiting for anyone else.
Elnara sighed, then picked up Storm and Starr. She let Serenity and Skye go into the portal first, and was about to follow them when she saw Lin standing and looking very small and lonely. Without a word, she shifted Storm and Starr to the same shoulder, then knelt down and picked up Lin.
"No sense in having you fall behind," she murmured as she straightened once more. Her eyes met Lore's one last time, and she smiled bravely, though she felt far from brave, then stepped into the portal.

Lin giggled, "I wouldn't fall that far behind."
She watched as the world changed around her into the place she was before. The little Second looked around to see if anything had changed.

Holding Idhril, Lore followed shortly after them into a place he did not know how to describe. He was use to buildings, but he hadn't been in a castle for a very long time, and it seemed so... old compared to back home in Gaia. Though he was sure it probably wasn't as old as he thought, it was just association.

Once inside, Elnara counted heads to make sure all of her children were still there, then reached for Lore's hand and the comfort it would bring her.
"Now," she murmured softly, "how to get through here without getting lost ..."
"I know how, Mama," Serenity offered eagerly. She pointed at the runes that were carved into the white marble walls. "You follow the writing, just the way you always told me! It's history, right? If you follow it in order it gets you out of here!"
She looked down the white hallway eagerly, wondering if her little cousin would come and find her again. She liked Eärendil, and she wasn't very shy with him.
"Ah," Elnara smiled, squeezing Lore's hand. "That's handy."

Unfortunately for poor Serenity, it wasn't Earendil who was wandering the labyrinth at this time of the afternoon - it was his younger sister, Tinuviel. Normally she would be in lessons with Sir Valdemar, but today he had something else to do.
Not that she minded, she needed a break from her studies every once in a while. She was eighteen now, taller than most of the family, and as slim and graceful as she had ever been. Her hair had grown even longer now, and despite being bound still fell to her ankles.
She had been down in the labyrinth for a number of hours now, and she was startled to suddenly hear voices coming from somewhere deeper within the walls of the enormous maze. For a moment she panicked, wondering who could have found their way here - then she remembered the portal.
Did they have more visitors?
She activated her magic, phasing out, and started in the direction of the sounds, moving through the walls as if they weren't there.

"Really? I never noticed," Lin commented, "I followed Earendil all the time. Except that time I had Tinuviel carry me."
Though to be fair at the time she was more thinking about beating up a certain ninja. Actually, Lin still wanted to beat him up, but she couldn't, which was a pity.

Lore squeezed Elnara's hand in return lightly as he smiled, "That's interesting, almost like a code, one wouldn't realize it unless you were paying attention."
Very ingenious, then very few people would be able to get out unless they knew the history well and the language. Though he wasn't sure which threat was greater one's own people or outsiders. Afterall, he had experienced the former and only read about the latter.

"Well," Elnara murmured as she began to follow Serenity through the labyrinth, "Nako had to learn the hard way, unfortunately. It was through the underground escape passage that the dwarfs first gained entrance to the old castle and killed Ninako in the first place, and destroyed the castle ..."
She set Storm, Starr and Lin on the ground so that they could walk. After all, even Storm wasn't reckless enough to wander off without her in a place like this.
As excited as Celebor had been before they had left, and as noisy as he had been, he was silent now, examining everything around him with wide eyes. Of all that he had been told of this place, he hadn't expected anything like this ...

She was definitely getting closer, she thought to herself as she moved through more and more walls. She didn't recognize any of the voices, though ...
Well, perhaps she would when she got a bit closer.
Moments later, she passed through the final wall to the hall that they were in and solidified herself. She had come out behind all of them - they were heading away from her. She took the opportunity to examine them all as she followed them noiselessly.
A raven-haired woman, a white-haired man, and a lot of children ...
Her eyes widened. She recognized two of them!
"Serenity!" she called out excitedly. "Lin!" And she started after them swiftly, still silent in her movements.

Lin looked up and then around trying to catch the direction of the sound even though she couldn't hear any padding feet. Though she wasn't surprised by that part it was always dreadfully difficult to hear Eanrendil when they were playing their games.
"I think I heard... I think I heard...." She turned around a bit though she wasn't sure if this was it, "Tinuviel!"

Lore nearly jumped out of his skin as he heard two of the girl's name echo through the hallway. He looked around him as it had startled him completley, he didn't reconigze the voice, and he knew how silent Elnara could be without trying.
"Who?"

Serenity jumped just as much as everyone else, and she whirled around to see who was there. When she saw Tinúviel, she broke into a wide smile, but her face flushed and she remained silent. She waved a shy hello.
She had sort of met Tinúviel before, but they hadn't spoken.Elnara also turned and she was surprised to see the woman who was approaching them. There was no questioning whose daughter she was - she looked so much like both Ruel and Lúthien that one had to be blind to confuse her with anyone else. So this was the niece that Donovan had told her about. "Hello," she offered, smiling waveringly. She wondered how this was all going to turn out. Celebor peeked between Lore and Elnara to see who was there, then broke into a huge grin. "She looks kinda a bit like you, Mommy!" he exclaimed. Then he waved at her wildly. "Hi!"The twins peered at Tinúviel from between Elnara's legs, then exchanged a glance, then looked back at her. They stayed silent, however. Skye didn't even notice that there was anyone there. She had been a bit ahead of the others, and being deaf hadn't of course heard anything. She hummed softly to herself and continued on, one hand brushing softly against the white marble walls. In Lore's arms, Idhril perked up a bit and pointed at Tinúviel. "Look, Papa!" she exclaimed, looking up at Lore and smiling widely. "She's just like Mama is!"

Tinúviel stopped in her tracks as everyone turned around to face her and her expression transformed into one of extreme surprise as she stared at the raven-haired woman.
"Nako," she breathed; but no, it wasn't her grandmother. She was quite similar, but still different. She tried again. "Ada ... thêl?"

Lin, of course knew no elvish, she was already trying to master the other two languages spoken freely around her household. So she just tilted her head a bit wondering what on earth Tinuviel was talking about.
"What does that mean?"

Lore's mind raced back to the meaning of words and it cleaned (as if it wasn't already obvious enough by appearance) that Elnara and Tinuviel were related.
"Ah..." he could hear Skye was still humming and in his fright he had forgotten she would not have heard that.
He turned to see she was still walking and backpedalled enough so he could reach out and tap Skye on the shoulders before she would walk off. Lore did not want to lose Skye in here.
