Shinobi_8745 He executes the HQ character who leads the unit (the Imperial Guard Officer, there's 3 different ones to choose of when having a command squad/platoon) immediatly, and they count as they passed the test.
What if he burns through the officers and he's the only commander left, does he kill himself?

-Mykal Actually, no. That's not quite correct. The Commissar only kills the leading model in the squad. If your command squad fails, then he'd kill your (Insert chosen Officer). In any other squad he ends the sergeant. Hence: Sergeant Caston of the 77th Guryan 'Sons of Macharius' Straighten up, boys! Here comes the Leash!

Lt. Brookman A.R.G.U.S Mykal
Does it say anything about mixing and matching army types? Like having inducted Chaos into a Guard army? Or Dark Eldar "helping" Tyranids?
-Mykal Either you buy the book or check this handy chart here.
So in theory I could have an army of characters? The Ultramarine, Deathwing and Dark Angel, Templar and Blood Angel characters, with allied Guard characters like Creed, Kell, Yarrick, Sly and then some allied Inquisitors like Inquisitor Stern, Lok, Lorr, and the Living Saint, each with their own Land Raider Crusader/Terminus to roam about in?
Or is that pushing it a bit?

So what about if they constantly fail morale checks? Does he kill grunts until he's the only one left?

-Mykal It states he only kills an officer/sergant, which means the junior, senior or heoric officers/sergants/Veteran sergants, this does not include himself. And no, he does not kill non-leading models when the sergants and/or officers are all gone, then they will flee as normal.

Or is that pushing it a bit? -Mykal You are correct. However, Special Characters are still limited to one of each, so you'd have to take quite a few characters to make it to 3k points. No army made out of Commander Farsights, or forc consisting entirely of of Mephistons. Shinobi_8745 t states he only kills an officer/sergant, which means the junior, senior or heoric officers/sergants/Veteran sergants, this does not include himself. And no, he does not kill non-leading models when the sergants and/or officers are all gone, then they will flee as normal. Not entirely true. As per the Guard FAQ: Guard FAQ If a Commissar is in a unit that does not have an officer or Sergeant leading it, the Summary Execution rule means the unit will take one casualty before it then passes it's Morale test.

This is not the thread for that sort of question Barnabas. But I'll answer it in the Tau thread.

US White Dwarf 300 featured rules for movie marines. I want those rules. Why? Because they were never published across the pond. I really want those rules, so if skittish about it, you can PM me with them.

-Mykal I think this would be legal so long as you had any of the point-restrictions met by the time you introduced everyone and thing that didn't have point restrictions. But I haven't really been looking for loop-holes in apocalypse rules...
