Jak sat outside in the drive way, hammering diligently at the makings of a skateboard ramp. Laying next to him were printed instructions and a book of Tony Hawk free-styling on a ramp just like the one he was making.
It was going to take him a long time to make the ramp, but for now he had a board proped up on the sidewalk. For practice and stuff.
"Ow!" he cried as he hammered his thumb. He stuck the injured digit in his mouth for a brief moment before getting back to work. "I bet Tony Hawk never gave up just because he banged his thumb!" he declaired to no one in particular as he worked.
ShoeBandit watched her son from the attic window. Sighing she mumbled, I do wish he would be more carefull!
Resining herself to guarding from a far, she moved abuot her business in the attic. Cleaning, dusting and other wise straitening it up.

Relaxing on his bed, Jak read a comic book that he had found under his older sister's bed. It was titled "X-Men: The Adventrues of Wolverine."
He figured Mariah wouldn't mind seeing as how she was at school. Pausing in his reading, he grabbed a glass of water that was sitting on his bed side and poured it into a pot holding a cactus.
"There you go Jim, that should hold you for a while," he said before going back to his reading.
'Thanks dude,' was his answer. It still freaked him out that Jim could talk like that. But he didn't say anything anymore. Especialy since no one else seemed to be able to hear Jim.

ShoeBandit sat in her sons room. Her ears twitched as she listened to the sound of skateboard wheels on concreit and Jak's laughter threw the open window. Sighing, she pulled the Daxter plushie that he used to never leave alone to her chest.
My little Jak is growing up so fast, she sighed. She fiddled with Dax's ears for a bit before laying him on the bed side table. Standing, she began to re-make her son's bed. Still can't reach the far corners, she mumbled as she expertly flicked the sheets into place.
The sound of wood hitting wood, fallowed closely by flesh hitting cement met Shoe's ears. Rushing to the open window, her emerald eyes searched for Jak's crumples form.
But like always, the boy was fine and Shoe's worries were up-rooted once more. Jak! Be more carefull!! she called.
Ok Mom! was her predictable answer.
Turning back to the messed up room, ShoeBandit bent to the task of cleaning. All the while thinking how nice it would be to have another kid running around the house.

Jak sat in the living room of his family's home. He was busily reading through his history book as he tried to get his homework done before Mom got home. Luckily, he was on his last problem. Sadly, they were killer!! "What the heck? How am I supposed to know about the "scramble for Africa?" he gripped as he flipped back a couple pages. Finding the answer, he quickly scribbled it down.

*knock knock knock* Went the door, as Viki's little fist pounded down on it. She hadn't brought Celes with her this time-- as much as she enjoyed carting around the sword, this was her time to hang out with Jak and just Jak! Humming a merry little tune, the girl waited for the door to be answered, a few butterflies of excitement fluttering in her tummy. She'd never been to Jak's house before, and she didn't have any idea what to expect...

Hearing the knock on the door, Jak looked up from his pack in confusion. "Huh?" he said, being rather intelegent at the moment. Stuffing his stuff in his bag and kicking it behind the couch for later.
As he headed for the door, he couldn't help but wonder who it was. Most people that came to the house of ShoeBandit just, sorta, barged in. They knew that Shoey didn't care. So who would be... "Hello?" he called as he pulled open the door to find Viki standing on his porch. "Oh! Hey Viki!"

Viki beamed, bounding forward to give him a pummeling-sort of hug. "Hey Jak-Jak!" she cried, then stood back blinking.
"Ooooh, I like that. Can I call you Jak-Jak all the time now?"
Without waiting for an answer, she trudged on, "You said it was okay if I came over sometime, and I looked up where it was and so now here I am! Because I hadn't seen you in a little while, and I missed you, and besides, I thought it'd be fun to hang out for a while. You aren't busy, are you? I can leave..."

Once Jak recovered from the shock of Viki practiclay pummeling him, he quickly clamped his hand over her mouth. "It's ok Vik. I don't mind if you call me Jak-Jak and yes you can stay. I just finished my homework. Please, come in!"
He released her mouth and stood away from the door. Smiling and gesturing for her to come inside.

Viki grinned, looping her arm through his, "Okay! Yay! so, what do you want to do?" she looked about the house curiously. Perhaps they could play hide-and-seek or some sort of board game or something.

Jak lead Viki down the hall way, wich had various pictures hang from the walls and evidence of animals running about. He took her into the living room where he had been working earlier. "Well...we've got plenty of movies and video games. A few board games and at least 3 decks of cards. We've also got Uno, I just have to find where Mom had it last. Take your pick!"

The girl blinked, looking around at the house curiously, and then taking into consideration all the activities he had mentioned.
"What sort of movies and video games and board games? Oh, really, I don't care, as long as I get to hang out with you! What do you want to do, Jak-Jak?"

Jak took in a deep breath as he flopped back on the couch, "Well...there's just about everything Batman related you could possibly think of when it comes to movies...and games. Various Disney movies as well as The Crow. We've got racing, skateboarding, and first person shooter games. Those are multiplayer. While we've got Moms RPGs.
When it comes to board games we're a bit more limited. There's Twister, Sorry, Clue and I think we've got Taboo somewhere. So your the guest! Anything strike your fancy?"

The little teleporter tapped her chin thoughtfully, "I don't really know how to play games all that well. Boyue usually steals all the console time at the house." She giggled, remembering how irate he'd been the last time she tried to play a console game at the house. How was -she- supposed to know you weren't supposed to throw the controller at the TV?
"But we can try those if you want to teach me...Boyue says I look like a girl in a game called Suki-den." At least, she thought that was the name of it.
"And I like Disney movies and Twister, too."
