"There is no need to snap at her Rufus." Came Kuja's voice. Soft and calm as he walked on by, stopping just past the pair.
He kept his distance however, knowing why Rufus was so snappy. He wouldn't of come out here if he knew the other male was doing some gardening.
"That's right! There's no need to talk to me like that, you know! I help you out with the garden!" She lifted her head in an a matter of fact manner. Marluxia had taught her something things about gardening, especially since he kept giving her plants.
They were a nice gift and all, but she was running out of places to put them to keep Rufus from noticing. "I was just wondering if you were particular busy?" Again, Yuffie returned to her giddy smile, swinging her hips slightly.
Kuja blinked, his lips pursing as he watched the girl act as strange as she did. He knew that look from when Rufus used to buy him little gifts. Did she have a crush on Rufus?
He couldn't help the small smile pulling at the corner of his lips. Well, she didn't seem Rufus' type but good for her anyway. After the way he was treated it wasn't likely he'd be running back to the blond.

Taking a deep breath Rufus did his best impression of not getting angry. His temper hadn't been stellar lately so seeing Kuja might set him off if he wasn't careful.
If they wanted to be like that he could play along. Never even looking in Kuja's direction he replied "Yes, Yuffie? What can I help you with?" using his polite voice.

"Weeeeell...." Yuffie for the first time infront of anyone's eyes started to look incredibly shy about what she was about to ask, becoming over smiley and swaying on the spot a bit too much. "You gotta pretend that I'm about to go on a date with you infront of Vinny! Or ask me atleast."
She twiddled the paper in her hands in an almost embarassed manner, cheeks blushing slightly. This was just about as girly Yuffie got.
Kuja had to force the smirk on his lips to hide away, holding onto his breath secretively in order to stop himself for laughing at how Yuffie was being. It wasn't likely going to work but the fact she was asking anyway was amusing him. Especially since it was Rufus.

Now that one took Rufus aback. Not quite sure what to think about this new found crush she seemed to have on the now brooding adult he replied as slowly as he could "Let me get this straight. you want me to take you out so vincent sees us together and potentially makes him jealous?"
The idea was ludicrous but funny as well. Besides he didn't feel like dealing with his now intolerant sibling. Reno was better versed in beating himself off that wall.

"That's the General idea, yes!" Yuffie grinned all the more, seeming to become more pink cheeked in her giddy embarassment. The thought of Vincent finally revealing his deeply hidden love for her emerging because of the danger of Rufus stepping in was enough to send her into fan girl giggles at the thought, acting more like a girl her age should instead of wandering around the place, looking for victems to steal from.
"Oh please, Rufus! Just this once do it, pleeeease! I promise I'll leave you alone after this!" She begged.
Kuja couldn't help but grin, not quite wanting to leave, wanting to watch this little comedy act play itself out. Perhaps he would go find Vincent and warn him. Or perhaps even better... Get him to play along.

Pursing his lips together he had to stop so as not to laugh in the little girls face.
"You realize how ludicrous that is, right? What makes you think Vincent would even care?" Rufus asked in his usual cold manner. The idea behind that silly little giggle of hers was just insane no way would he want to be part of that.

It's worth a shot, right?!" Yuffie suddenly became grumpy faced and a look of hard detemination glinted in her eyes. Her hands were on her hips and she looked rather threatening for a little girl.
"Now, are you gonna help me or not? I already know Vincent is hopelessly in love with me, he just needs a good kicking to get his a** in gear and declare it to me!"
While Yuffie continued to beg for Rufus to go along with her "well thought" plan, Kuja decided to go find Vincent. He gave a polite smile to the pair with a quiet "well, I'll see you all later" before making his way inside, searching through the rooms as he went in hopes to bump into the broody adult.
Hopefully he wasn't with Reno, or that the red head was hanging around near by. It would make things less interesting and just plain annoying.

Rolling his eyes Rufus did his best impression of ignoring the small girl frowning in front of him. Why were women so difficult? For Godsakes this one wasn't even full grown and she was already a handful.
"Look Yuffie I doubt highly that Vincent has any interest. Haven't you seen how he has been treating Reno? They use to be very close remember?" he said as calmly as he could. Children annoyed him in general this was just getting worse.
Vincent had been in the kitchen getting something to eat since he refrained from being around when the others were. Mostly because they always tried to "cheer" him up but alos because he didn't want to see Reno right now.
Clearing the doorway he carried a plate with a mountain worth of food on it. He had never in his life been this hungry and now it was normal for him to eat like this.

"Well, that's because they were Gay with each other. It's walys harder to come out of a relationship when you've been Gay with each other." Yuffie said in a matter of factly tone, obviously making the excuse because that was the idea she got from all the males in the house.
"Since I'm a girl though, he's gotta be interested in me and he hasn't fallen out with me yet. Plus Reno is annoying and stupif anyway, so you really can't blame Vincent for being the way he is!"
"You should really watch your figure, eating all that." Kuja said casually from the doorway after discovering Vincent's whereabouts. His expression was half dazed, and a little sullen despite the smalle, faint smile on his perfect lips.
"Vincent, would you mind doing me a favour?"

"Or maybe he is just gay and not interested cause you are a girl?" Rufus replied, phrasing it as a question but more meaning it as a statement. This girl just wouldn't quit!
Looking up Vincent leveled a quiet and blank expression on the teen. Now what would someone like Kuja want from him.
In a wary tone he asked "What is it?"

Yuffie suddenly laughed out loud, almost doubling over as she grabbed ahold of her stomach with both hands. "Oh! Don't be silly! Of course Vincent likes girls!" She chuckled, managing to calm herself down.
She may have not been around long when Vincent was a Teen, but she knew damn well about Vincent's history. "He's had plenty of Girls, he's just never found the right one till I came along! He just needs reminding!"
"Well, right now Yuffie is spilling her guts about you to Rufus and wanting to make a plan to make you jealous of it." He said with a sigh, looking at his perfectly manicured nails on his left hand while his thumb gently rubbed against the strap on his violin case in his other.
"It would mean so much if you'd make the girl happy by going along with it. If you could, please."

Rufus stopped talking. This girl was just going to find an excuse for everything he said so what was the use. He was never one to waste his breath and he wouldn't start now.
Nope. Instead he would just go inside and find something else to do then garden. That way he could be rid of Yuffie. Turning he began towards the castle.
Why had she picked him anyways?
What was the teen talking about? "Why would Yuffie want to make me jealous? And of what?" Vincent asked somewhat blank faced.

"Wha-? Hey Rufus! Come back!" Yuffie looked quite shocked about it. "I thought you were nice to girls! You really are a big meany not helping me out here! My heart is on the line here!"
Kuja couldn't help but chuckle softly. It was quite obvious why she was doing that. "Because she has become quite taken with you. But I'm just wondering, if a small... "Date" I suppose, would help cure her crush."
Vincent had only to be his current self on a date to both make Yuffie happy for having atleast one chance at going out with him, and also being put off for life.

"Then take my advice and find a different guy." Rufus said as he pulled open the door and walked inside. If he was quick he could be on his way upstairs before she ever reached indoors.
Frowning Vincent began to shake his head. That was simply not a good idea. He didn't know how he would handle a child so he decided not to.

"But all the other guys are such dorks! They wouldn't understand like you and you're supposed to be good with women so he's more likely to get jealous!" Yuffie barked after him, darting infront of him and staring at the blond with big sad eyes.
"Oh, come on.. It doesn't have to be a big date thing, something cheap, you know. Can be short too... As long as it just gets out of her system.." Kuja sighed sadly, close his eyes and facing the ground quite disappointed.
