you see
maturity is not proportional to age and is only indirectly related
there is no magic number
young people don't just suddenly poof and become "old enough" and such a concept cripples our society
It would but up to you to dispel such silly ideas from your parents and perhaps disprove whatever other hang-ups they might have
ok lets take a look at discrimination
something that might look like descending order
AGE
sexual orientation
sex
"race" (culture would be the more so correct word but for this instance race is appropriate)
religion/creed
and the list continues but I think we get the point ya
