Well, that was a good first step. If she liked to dance that meant he might get somewhere with this... and not embarrass himself in the process (to much). He gave a tiny tug at the hand he still held in his, glancing toward the floor beneath the trees.

"Well, there's a li'tle dance floor a few feet fro'mus... care t'show me some of y'moves?"

He didn't wait for an answer (that could lead to tragedy) and instead moved backwards onto the floor and pulled Ankita into his arms. This wasn't so bad.

"O-" Ankita stumbled slightly behind him as he tugged her along. She simply let herself be taken along, until finally she caught up to him and was pulled in. For a moment, she simply froze, not quite sure what had happen. She wasn't sure if she had bumped into him or if he had actually pulled her in.

After a short second, she let herself relax, taking a deep breath and trying to wipe that brief moment of embarrassment from her mind. Looking up, she smiled.

"Do you want to lead? Or should I?"

So initiating a dance with a blind woman was a little harder than he'd thought. It was only a little rocky, so far... At Ankita's comment, Charlot arched an eyebrow and bit hit lip to keep from laughing.

"...Hnn, 'ows bout oi lead f'the first go, an y'cn lead next time." He placed one hand on her waist, bumping her arm up so her hand found his shoulder and took her free hand in his.

He'd danced before, and the music was pretty good in the little pavilion, it wasn't hard to find the rhythm of the music and move with it. It had a nice tempo, nothing slow and nothing to fast. Charlot cast a glance to the right, watching the other people dance just to make sure he was doing it right.

Yeah, pretty much.

"Is this 'ow you've danced b'fore?"

Ankita nodded and smiled. This isn't too bad. Just. Just take little steps and try to avoid his toes. "That sounds like a good plan."

In truth, a lot of Ankita's dancing was composed of random arm flailing and feet stomping (done in some sort of rhythm, not necessarily that of the music). There were the cultural dances she learned from her mother as a child. But she was hardly ever around that kind of a community to really do them anyway.

"Uhm, kind of?" She said, laughing slightly nervously. She wasn't quite sure what kind of dance they were actually doing. All she did was try and sway slightly to the rhythm, and trying desperately hard to avoid his feet. "Maybe I can show the kinds of dances I'm more used to sometime."

After a brief moment, she twitched slightly realizing that what she said could be taken a bit, well, less innocently. "I mean. Actual dances. Not. Other ... kinds of dances."

"Kind of?" Charlot cocked an eyebrow, regarding her curiously. He wasn't the king of dance halls, but he'd snuck into his share of fancy occasions to steal or ward off the cold. This is how they'd danced...

He wondered if he was doing it completely wrong. It had looked simple really- grab your girl, arms around, and then just ... glide around the floor like geese on water. While it made no SENSE to him to dance such, it seemed proper enough.

"Other kin' of dances?" Charlot's lip curled in a tiny smirk while he attempted to keep the mischief out of his voice. "Wha'cha mean b'that?"

"Well, I guess this isn't much like the kind of dancing I'm used to," she said, smiling in nervousness. "My mom used to teach me dances that her mom taught her... and her mom taught her... and so on and so forth. They were a bit different than this." Ankita had no real interest in painting a picture of her own personal dancing.

She winced ever so slightly, having hoped that maybe her comment had gone over her head. "Uhm. Just other dances. So. uhm... Do you like to dance? Because dancing's really fun." Her attempt at changing topics was fairly sad. All things considering how it still remained on the topic of dancing.
