Kommandant Wiesel Nintendo Punk 05 Sleigh Ride, Stars And Stripes Forever, and Malengua I have to agree on Sleigh Ride, but I must brand you as a heretic for wanting to burn a Sousa march. Shame on you! sousa gives me oom-pas, i really don't like him. i agree with all the pomp and circumstance, and i must add the song I Am. the band has to sing in it, "Iiiiiiiiiiii Aaaaaammmm." ya, there's a reason a lot of us joined band and not choir. xp

I think I am the only one here who hasn't played Pomp and Circumstance, which is a good thing from what I gather...
I must say that I heart Malaguena immensly, however. Good ol' marching music from freshman year...back in the day when there were only two trombones in the band. (We have nine this year, and we're only a AA band.)

I hate Carol of the Drums (the little drummer boy song). It is really really boring, but we don't have to play it anymore since our concert was yesterday. Thank goodness.

to be burned: ~all of my current Christmas music excepting "Allegro Barbados" ~all of my previous Christmas music excepting "Charlie Brown Christmas"--and only if that is played ridiculously fast for fun ~all Sousa marches after one plays them over exactly five times ~junior-high music! all of it! ~Pomp and Circumstance, and all of the other grad music ~The Little Drummer Boy (hello, drums don't go 'parumparumpa'!) and the 12 Days of Christmas unless you skip directly to the 12th verse

My apologies. I spelled it off of the music, but the guy who writes our music has a habit of misspelling the titles.

BandGeekGirl John Wiliams music... he uses the same cliches he has in all his stuffs!!grrrr He does not! The main melody repeats often, yes, but it's never the same from one film to another. Sorry, I'm a huge Williams fan, and I couldn't let that stand. As for burnable music, Christmas Music for Winds/Voices. The Symphonic Band backs up all four choirs combined in this piece, and I'm spared from playing it because I'm singing it instead, which is almost as bad, as I've been forced onto the bass part, and unlike nearly everyone else, I haven't been in choir before so I don't know it. Fortunately, if we've lost track of our part, the director has no problem with us singing the melody.
