The male's lip curled, "A thr..eat..? ..No..more..of a..war...ning.." The other male's uttering of the word 'friend' irked the Nightmare, but not enough for him to say anything about it.

"Heh.." the male shruged of the warning it was of no concern to him. "If I..tou..ched your..soul..you wou..ldn't be..able..to move.." he paused to lower his head slightly so that he was more upon 'eye level' with the other (not that he really knew were 'eye level' was, but just a guess). Dementor snarled, the lack of sight was certainly a sore spot, as it seemed to be with more Nightmares. "Just be..cause..I can..not see..with eyes..does..not mean..I can..not..see.." his raspy voice hissed, as his foreclaws dug deep into the earth. "I have..felt..happi..ness..before and..I can..asure y..ou that..your..soul will..would ca..use no..such th..ing.."

"Happiness for killing does not compare with happiness for love." said Zenith. He wondered how long he would be able to keep up the word game. If he could only get to a clearing, he could take off, but he was not sure he could outrun Dementor.

The Nightmare let out a chuckle, before his teeth gritted back together. "And..be..cause..of my app..erance..I've never..felt love..?" His ears darted forward, as the male let out a deep rattling growl. "How..bold of..you to..asume that..I have..no..family.."

Brows furrowed as the Nightmare's lips curled, his fangs were clentched as tightly as possible as he let out a deep rumbling growl. Dementor's back arched as he took a step towards the other male. "It is..a sha..me that..you are..so sm..all..minded..So stu..pid to..say that one..such as my..self can..not feel..love..That I..do not..care for..my fam..ily..my children..my mate.." His nose wrinkled as he took another step forward. "Taking yo..ur soul..will bring..me great plea..sure..But I..think I'll..make you..suffer fir..st.." came the Nightmare's rattling roar.

Zenith was taken aback, not because of the roar, or the step closer, but that this creature had a mate, and children. It had never occurred to him, he was always told that these were creatures of pure hate, no capacity to love. "I guess I was wrong.." he thought aloud. Zenith returned to the present, Dementor drawing ever nearer. He still wasn't sure of what to do: attack or flee?

"You..are not..as intel..ligent..as you..believe.." Dementor hissed, his throat feeling as though it were tightening. He'd loose his voice soon if he was not careful with his tones. It was something that happened quite often to him, from simply talking too much or shouting. His voice was not made to be overworked. "Of cou..rse you...were wrong..Because...of what..I..am...you've..as...umed the..worst.." the Nightmare took anothr step forward. "And that...is not..some..thing I..am willing...to for..give.."
