I'd just like to draw your attention to the image of Kai in a skirt. That, and Mariah as a boy. Only very very manly men can pull off pink. S/he would not be one of them, I imagine.
Rei = nodress when he has not been affected by an uber-sexchange ray.

And on to the main part of the post where I do an EPIC faceplant and then go off my head about how Rei is NOT a woman. HE is a man and in himself actually displays a lot of the maturity that comes with being a man. In contrast Kai (The uber-male according to this guild) is a lot less mature in his way of thinking about the world.
THEREFORE Rei is actually more manly than Kai.
IT'S JUST THAT NO ONE CAN GET PAST THE FACT THAT HE IS PRETTY.

What I mean, in very simplistic terms is that REI IS NOT A WOMAN WITH A FLAT CHEST.
In fact, judging on the very essence of maleness (aka what being a man actually is about) Rei is actually much more manly in his outlook on the world than Kai is.
I am sick of Rei being taken as beig 'girly' simply because of his looks. He is a man I tell you. A MAN.

The fact that Rei has a p***s is a bit of a giveaway to his status as a male.
That aside, there is more to being a man than just anatomy. Being a man (In Panda's opinion anyways) isn't about machoism or about physical strength. In fact, the manliest men I have met simply know that they are men. They do not have to prove it.
In this way I think that Rei really proves himself to be a true man. Unlike the illustrious Kai, Rei has nothing to prove. In Grev, this is shown very clearly when the Bladebreakers split up. Unlike Kai who seems to have a need to beat Tyson and be the best, Rei simply wants to have a chance at being world number one. Not because he needs to be better than someone (Hello macho pride) but because he wants to see if he can.
Another example of Rei's inherant manliness is through his inner strength- take his battle against Bryan, for example. It wasn't brute strength or bravado (Two traits that are often mistakenly believed to be marks of 'true' men by men themselves) but instead determination and a desire to win for his team.
Selflessness, inner strength and a mature outlook on the world are three hallmarks of a true man, in Panda's eyes anyway. Three characteristics that Rei has in spades.
Sorry for the slight essay, like I said it's a bit of an issue for me.
