With his head held high, almost high enough to drown if rain began to pour down from the sky, and tail curled up in his born stance. Crunch felt like he was whole with Alas at his side. Though he was completely at ease with the healer and her presence deep down inside the male was shattering because he knew Alas would be leaving the territory again and soon. However the territory being left wasn't his main sorrow it was him being left again.

Unlike his sister, Alas was a physical healer and, the mental laugh came to the dark blue male's mind. Though a slight laughter in his brightened deep eyes, the alpha did feel guilty about the lessons still. Wow, he was really wrapped around the white lacy paws of the pink femme.

However, listening to Alas and Gracia talk, the male rolled his eyes. Well at least Gracia had someone to talk to besides Snickers. Sometimes Crunch wanted to ask about his 'lazy' brother and wanted to know how to actually get the dark chocolate male to do some work. With a fractional shake of the head and backwards flicker of his ears, Crunch caught something that seemed a bit less stressful. Crunch looked back over his shoulder to his sister and cousin.

"What?" he asked slowing a bit to give a slight glare to the wide eyed omega, that actually was the catch in his eyes.

Tailing flying high and waving about the wolfish grin was just so fixed upon the omega's jaw, one would think she actually had it decorated into her fur. Having her sister of a best friend state the obviousness between the two, Gracia was positive that the gibbering between the females were driving the two males mad.

Being dragged back to the topic of Butterfingers though gave Gracia something else to say before spouting out her actual thoughts. "It sounds like you watched over him very closely to know your brother's schedule so well. That means you're a good brother." She paused and turned a phrase over in her mind a bit.

"I hope he will be able to rest better once you two get settled in." The light blue eyes locked back onto her brother and Alas again. Gracia halted in her mid-stride when Crunch glared back at her.

"What?" he asked.

With a large gulp, Gracia blinked. "Ummm...Crunch no disrespect to either you or to Alas, but is there something going on between you two. I'mjustaskingsinceyouhavenotbeyourselfallday." she rambled off quickly.

Musketeer smiled as Gracia called him a good brother, it was a true smile not his usual charming grin or smirk. He was very proud to have survived alongside his sibling and happy to have found more family. "Thank You cousin, I only hope I can be as good to all of you."

As Gracia spilled the words that Musketeer had only pondered he had to hold back a snort of laughter. She was quite the brazen one, he wondered how much more bold her sister, Twix, could be. He stopped and looked at Alas and Crunch curiously, yes they had acted like secret lovers but he hadn't let his imaginations run away with him. He just didn't think Crunch was the type to slip about having a hidden romance or court some lady in secret. Perhaps though his alpha had been doing just that.

Alas had been gazing at Crunch as she moved alongside him until he turned his head and she smiled at Gracia. The smile however faltered as she blushed deeply and stared at her friend in shock. Was her attraction so apparent? The lacy pink healer flushed once more as she turned her gaze to the blue alpha beside her and tried to regain speech.

Crunch's jaw slackened at his sister's unpredictable burst of words. Though the instant it slackened his eyes became hard and his jaw quickly recoiled up. Though Gracia rambled her last sentence out, the alpha wasn't pleased with the omega, or his sister, which ever way he looked at the blue and white femme. He just wasn't pleased.

"Gracia, I'll admit," his sharp eyes shot towards Musketeer before locking back on the cowering omega, "I have feelings for Alas that aren't all about being friends. HOWEVER, I don't know exactly what is going on between us...." he paused and looked at Alas' brighter eyes, "WE, I guess, still have a lot to talk about if she feels the need to as well, but," his head turned back to his relatives, "I know she has the obligation to her pack." Well talk about letting the cat out of the bag, Hell Crunch wasn't even a hundred percent forsure that Alas had any "real" attraction to him or not.

"I'm sure you will be, if you have any doubt just come seek me out. I'm a really good listener." She whispered back to the silvery male.

The next instant she was cowering looking at her waiting for something harsh and bitter to snap in the blue male. But looking through one squinted eye, she was surprised that there was really such little growling. Both eyes locked onto Alas in sudden shock. What would it be like to have your best non-related friend as your sister? This would be very interesting if Alas confirmed the tale of Crunch. The blue tail went crazy behind Gracia in anticipation.

Alas slowly regained the ability to speak as Crunch explained things, she almost leapt for joy when he told Gracia he had more then friendly feelings for her. She had to remember to thank her best friend somehow. She gave Crunch a reassuring smile and moved to nuzzle Gracia.

"I've ried to hold back any feelings for your brother...I do lo-" She bit back the words not ready to put herself on the line.
"Crunch is ...we have something, but we need to talk about it still, he had duties here to you and the rest of your family. I made a promise to my Alpha and...for now...we'll see how things go." She looked at Crunch hopefully her tail wavering steadily beside Gracia's madly swinging one.

Musketeer tried not to laugh, what a tangle it all was two different packs, an alpha, a healer. He couldn't have dreamed up a more complex scheme if he tried, except if the love was unrequited. Unrequited love, that had to be terrible. Good thing he didn't expect to go falling over some female anytime soon.

The alpha made a soft sigh of relief when Alas spoke openly with Gracia as well. Maybe having his sister around was a fortunate thing, but looking at Musketeer, Crunch wasn't so sure. Would now knowing that the alpha wasn't all cold and bitter lower the strength of his glare or glower around the others.

Thinking it over, Crunch decided that actually having other feeling would mean that he could non-judgmentally snap and actually fight off any other suitors for Alas that came with in the two pack lands. After all she too had just confessed that she cared for him as he cared for her.

With a dignified bobbing of his head, Crunch turned his gaze back between his kindred, "When things are talked over and discussed, I'll inform the whole of the pack, but only when things are completely figured out." Crunch's tone was lighter then most times, almost seemingly relaxed, but just like a tidal wave his voice switched over.

"Though we aren't official or anything, I will make it clear to Snickers, whether he likes it or not, that Alas is not to be harassed." The bite was obvious to the unfinished statement. Crunch didn't trust his brother with any unrelated female as far as the wolf's attention span went for anything but water.

Gracia listened intently to the words spoken and as the relazation really sunk in. The blue and white omega thought of one problem.

"If you two become official mates, then what will happen if, hypothetically speaking, you become expecting parents. I'm sure Alas' alpha wont be keen on another wolf pack's pups being born in her lands." Gracia was feeling really awkward with such a bold question and in fact she stepped back again.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:17 pm

Alas blinked and looked at her friend, just when she had jumped one bar her friend had raised another. This one was much harder to answer though, she looked at Crunch uncertainly before smiling at Gracia.

"I'm sure we won't be having any pups till things are stable, but...if it does happen...I would rather they were raised here. My alpha wouldn't object to them, but she's young and it wouldn't be right to add another burden on her..." Alas didn't want to say that she would keep her pups a secret, it sounded so traitorous. The truth was she would never want her children endangered by whatever was stirring up the tension she felt in her pack, she had a sinking suspicion the lynx wasn't the only problem.

"Either way, such a choice is a long way off, I have a duty to my alpha...a promise. As much as my feelings draw me to another pack, I won't leave mine until things are settled." She glanced at Crunch.

Twix had heard a group approaching the den and she had hastily tossed her fresh squirrel into a hole covering it witha quick swipe before dashing to see who it was. She hadn't been around the den for a few days because it smelled like fish, something she would have to deal with Gracia for. Gracia was supposed to keep the den clean and care for pups, well there weren't any pups so all she had to do was keep the den clean! Twix slowed as she heard voices, Crunch's familiar tone, Gracia's soft one, and two new ones?

Musketeer was startled by how bold Gracia was, he gave a slight smirk holding back any comments. He liked his cousins more and more! As he saw Crunch he smiled softly tipping his muzzle to acknowledge he understood crystal clear that flirting with Alas was off limits.

He had to respect his alpha for keeping such a relaxed demeanor despite these tense questions flying at him, and from the omega of the pack no less. Things seemed to run smoothly, he was sure he wouldn't mind staying here, he hoped Butterfinger liked it too.

Jaw dropping at his sister, his eyes narrowed with speculation. "Gracia, if you are my sister, you need to stop jumping a head of yourself. Alas and I still have ALOT to discuss and...." the alpha's head was swimming, where did his sweet sister suddenly become bold enough to express every thought?

Though he let Alas cover that question. The idea of pups and Alas as his mate wouldn't happen until the healer was in the pack, plus he wouldn't want to endanger Alas with the burden of pups while working for two packs. That was just wrong! The alpha knew the healer needed to move freely back and forth, and personally until things got settled in the Agua Azul pack. Crunch wouldn't do anything to make Alas break her promises.

Looking across the face of Musketeer, the message was processed with his cousin now his brother would be a whole new bridge to burn down, his glare at Gracia and her odd boldness, then the softer look towards the pink wolfess at his side.

The alpha spoke, "Alas, I've already said countless times that I wouldn't want to draw you from your duties in your pack. Just like I don't want to drawn from mine. Compromise is what everything is about..." His eyes darted back to his sister, "along with respect and discipline."

Gracia dipped her head and skittered around Musketeer as she headed towards the den in silence. "Don't worry, no more words from me," she whimpered suddenly realizing just how bold she had been. Maybe being around Alas gave the omega a boost in her own self-esteem, but that was just a theory.

As she moved around Gracia didn't see her caramel sister approaching. Head low and eyes looking else where it wasn't a surprise that the blue head rammed into something else and looking to see Twix, Gracia's tail curled under her belly. This was going to get interesting.

Twix gave a slight growl as Gracia bumped into her, "honestly Gracia watch where your going..." She walked past her sister and dipped her muzzle before Crunch respectfully.

"I came to see what all the commotion was about..." She eyed Musketeer and Alas disapprovingly. "Tresspassers?"

With a sniff Twix noticed that Musketeer was a relation, but that still didn't get him off the hook in her book. The pink wolf had nothing to do with the family, and she looked insipid. Twix felt her lips rising to show her fangs, but she tamped down the urge and looked at Crunch to let him handle it. Her brother would fix this issue and then they could all head to the den and figure out why it smelled of fish.

Alas was too busy beaming at Crunch to notice the looks Musketeer was throwing. She nodded softly at the dark blue alpha in agreement that there was much to deal with. Suddenly solving things in her own pack seemed very important.

She looked over curiously as a tan female slipped past Gracia, was this Twix? Alas wasn't sure what to think of the female, she didn't seem very friendly.

"Hello...I'm Alas." She smiled and tipped her muzzle in greeting.

Musketeer smirked as Twix showed up, his keen nose told him that this was the other sister.

"Twix! A pleasure to meet you, I'm Musketeer. New to the pack, with my brother...who is probably in the den. You may have seen him, he's orangish...yellowish...err Butterfinger." He chuckled.

As he saw the looks Twix was giving him and Alas he decided he would have to be careful around her, she was scarily sharp. Her eyes seemed to scan, asses, and decide on an action for everything in her path. He had a sinking feeling that she wasn't the easiest to make a first good impression on either.

Watching the beta approach in the pack Crunch almost forget about the descussion he would have with Gracia later....almost. Seeing the sharp edge in the crimson eyes always confirmed the alpha he had made a good decision on picky Twix over Snickers for the beta spot. Though the ranks were only important for respect and to keep order.

With a slight approving smile and after Alas and Musketeers spew, Crunch shook his head, but frowned deeply at the quivering of his sister's lips when she looked at Alas. "That would be a mistake sister," he warned sullenly.

Indicating Musketeer, "He is one of the new members in the pack, his brother, so I've heard, is a fine fisherman and is also welcomed to the pack. So be a little polite to our kin, for I am." The deep blue eyes were not taunting, but merely stating order.

Turning his head to look at Alas, a half smile appeared on the pink femme's side of the blue maw. The sharp red lightning lids then slid down a bit to look at his sister again. "And this is Libenalas, or Alas as she introduced herself," the voice of the alpha was now purely a demand of respect and cockiness. Treating Gracia with a bit of kindness wouldn't get Crunch killed, but with his other siblings...he hadn't tried that yet, so he continued. "Respect her. For one Alas is a healer, and ally, and maybe one day, in the future, your other alpha." With that stated, Crunch watched his sister's face closely for her reaction. It surprised the big male that he had used such words for Alas, but he spoke with verdict and domination.

Not even apologizing the omega slipped off through the trees and into the den. The wreak would bring bears straight to them...if only bears actually lived in this area of the woods.

Slipping into the den, the light blue eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness and she moved through the entrance way towards where she had found the fish bones the previous day.

Twix was shocked but her demeanor remained the same and she gave the slightest nod to her brother keeping the snarl back and attempting to smile. On hearing that Musketeer and his brother were new members of the pack ehr smile became genuine, family and packmates she could feel for. She tipped her muzzle warmly in greeting to the silver wolf.

"Welcome to the pack...I suppose you'll be aiding Snickers in hunting?"

Twix turned to Alas and the smile faded a bit, she forced it back in place but inside she was seething. This?! This insipid, pink female was a contendor for her brothers heart? Impossible, had he gone mad!? Oh...a healer...perhaps she had SOME use, but Twix still didn't like her. She had to be doing something sneaky to have gotten Crunch's affection! Twix had endlessly obeyed her brother, kept her siblings in line, brought in food, and kept out of trouble and she hadn't been able to earn such a sly smile, and she was family! What right did that lacy pink puffball have!

"Welcome, as an ally then..." she sniffed. "Your from the pack near the ocean?" she kept her voice as steady as she could, attemtping to inject warmth into her tone.

Muskeeter smiled at his newfound cousin and nodded. He would have to be sure to stay on her good side, he would hate to see what she looked like when she wasn't trying to be friendly.

"Yes, and helping Crunch to patrol a bit, after all even an Alpha needs rest." He chuckled and glanced over to watch as Gracia vanished.

Alas had the distinct feeling that Crunch's sister didn't like her, but she smiled and let her tail waver a bit as she dipped her muzzle in greeting. As she caught Crunch's smile she relaxed and slowly pressed herself a bit closer to him.

"Yes I belong to The Aguas Azul pack. It's nice to meet you, Gracia has spoken of you and your brother and I was hoping to finally meet everyone today."

Within the den five fresh fish had replaced the bones that Gracia had found before and Butterfinger was curled up opposite them dozing. His nose twitched a bit even as he slept, but the fishy smell didn't deem to bother him. His fur was still a bit damp, but this too seemed to cause him no discomfort.

Crunch watched his sister carefully. Like him she was good at holding back things, another good reason that supported her rank change in the pack. The genuine warmth that radiated off of the caramel hide to Musketeer was expected.

Their shared conversation was just as expected and after the meeting of the pack, Crunch would probably curl up in the small 'watch post' in the entrance way of the den and slumber his heart out.

Head held high the male watched the smile falter and then plaster into place on his sister maw. His own jaw was set and with the way that Twix was, Crunch knew she was already highly upset. The eldest sibling fought back a defensive growl for Alas, after all Twix was at least 'trying' to be pleasant. Though mad and possibly thinking he was out of his mind, Crunch wasn't worried about Twix trying to do anything foolish to be rid the territory of the pink healer. If she did, the spirits only knew what the instinctual blue male would do.

Gracia spotted the mound of yellow fur in a back corner of the den. The five fish laying beside her cousin and the smell getting stronger. Why was there no nose plugs around when one could be used, really bad. Maybe Gracia would work on making a clearing in the back of the den, one to ventilate air and as another exit.

Spotting Butterfinger asleep, the blue and white omega began to clean the den out again. Maybe this time she would bring something into the den that would cover up the fish's scent.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 06, 2007 7:56 pm

Twix held back a growl, Gracia had knwon of this pink intruder and kept her a secret! She gave Alas a small nod and let the smile slip away back to her usual expressionless demeanor.

"Yes well, I suppose theres only Snickers and...Musketeer's brother left for you to meet. I myself haven't met him yet, but if he's an excellent fisher perhaps he is the one responsible for the scent the den has taken on."

She turned to Crunch waiting for him to lead the way.

"Yes I suppose so..." She glanced at Crunch wondering if Twix was always so stiff. Alas didn't think she had made any new friend in the caramel colored beta. She moved to follow Crunch towards the den the scent of fish becoming slightly stronger as they neared.

Musketeer meanwhile let the trio sort things out and followed Gracia to the den.

Butterfinger's nose twitched again and he opened his eyes tilting his head at Gracia and catching her scent.

"Hello..." he muttered softly as he rose and streached out with a yawn.

"I'm Butterfinger, new to the pack." He spoke softly almost as if hesitant to speak at all.

With careful eyes, Crunch listened to his sister speak of Butterfinger and Alas' agreement with the statement. Turning his back towards the two, for he didn't fear a blood bath about to break out, the crackling white socked paws moved towards the rarely alpha occupied den.

The scent of fish, had is not been so strong, unappealing and thick. The flicker of Musketeer's silvery tail disappeared into the cave.

"Eh, Gracia needs to find something for this smell," he muttered out loud to himself.

Pausing on cleaning out the bedding in the den again, Gracia looked over towards the yellowish male. "Good afternoon, Butterfinger. I'm Gracia," she introduced herself meekly, and then added, "one of Crunch's sisters and the cleaner of the den."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 08, 2007 12:08 pm

Twix followed on her brothers side glancing over his shoulder at Alas once or twice. She did not like this pink female, she hated the idea of her becoming an alpha. Still for now the female was an outsider, she belonged to another pack.

Alas followed Crunch on his other side, but she was gently pressed against him sharing a soft smile with him and a promise in her eyes that they would speak of what was on their minds and in their hearts. Her nose wrinkled slightly as they came to the den and she laughed.

"He must be an excellent fisher, it almost smells like the ocean." She glanced at Crunch and smiled.
"I'm sure Gracia will have everything fixed up in no time."

Musketeer had slid into the den and moved beside his brother to nose him up playfully. He glanced at Gracia and gave her a wry smile "I can help you with that if you'd like?" He nipped his brothers ear gently not mentioning anything about the fishy scent to him, Musketeer did not want the others to know about Butterfingers poor sense of smell. He didn't even think his brother was all too aware of it himself.

Butterfinger relaxed at gracia's words and dipped his muzzle in greeting moving to let her have more space.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Gracia, my brother and I joined the pack not too long ago."

He smiled as Musketeer came over to tussle with him and pawed at his nose.
"You've met Gracia..." His ears perked and he slunk back uncertainly. "Others are coming?"

Crunch smiled at Alas and could almost feel the searing of Twix's heated glare fly over his back towards his beloved. Would Twix actually think Crunch completely insane when Alas would join the pack as his partner...well that was the biggest plan.

Hearing Alas' words Crunch shook his head, "Yes a very good fisher. The fish will have to stay out of the den." Sticking out his tongue Crunch gave the persona of his distaste to the thick scent. Fish were to eat by the river or ocean only, not bring it back to the den were others slept.

Shaking her head, and speaking before Crunch, Twix, and Alas got into the den, the omega politely declined. "No thank you, I appreciate the offer, but I'm use to this duty and I'll have the den cleaned out before long."

Though she smiled warmly at the brothers tussle. Oh, that confirmed that the brothers were indeed close. Possibly closer then her siblings and herself, but then again the lived in order since being teenagers.

Gracia nodded her head, "Yes, Butterfinger. My brother, sister, and ally of the pack are all coming into the den."
