Out of curiousity: how does one go about getting an artist table? And snaps for you! that's awesome.
mrgreen Well, it seems that at any
other anime convention they are much easier to get. Last year the tables at Anime Boston sold out in less than five minutes (and that includes a minor website crash). This year the tables sold out in
24 seconds!!! And there are still 73 people (the last time I looked) that are on the waiting list.
So, I guess for this particular convention a certain amount of luck and a good internet connection are needed. Otherwise, there is usually a sign up form on the website of what ever convention you're looking at. And there is usually a price, too. in this case a four foot space was $30 and an eight foot space was $65 (they did that to get more people to get a small space and be able to have lots of artist in the alley).
I hear that this is one of the best Artist's Alleys to get into to promote yourself, though. And that's why I had to try! No one has ever heard of my comic, so I wanted to get out there and really push it. It's going to be 3.5 years old when I go to the convention.
And thank you! I feel really lucky!
