What? A 49 year old man losing his hair? You've got to be kidding. It's not that noticeable so I really don't think it matters too much.

Yes it is well done actually XD cause some press, I believe it was a British press, got a photo of him with a large bald spot. But honestly...the guy is almost fifty and still looks good when men loose their hair as early as 20 sometimes. Just goes to show you how dumb the paparazzi must think we are that we would really care if a man nearing fifty does not have the golden head of hair and needs some for the show...or else we are really that stupid and they are just giving the public what they want.

Honestly in the photo, he looks rather attractive, it makes him possess a more interesting look. He does not even look that bad with the hair he has, shows you House is just so good he could pull of anything XD

The cool thing is that many people don't realize it but they probably don't find Hugh Laurie attractive at all, just the character House. I never thought he was very attractive when I was watching Black Adder and Jeeves and Wooster when I was a kid (my parents where really into british comedy). He is a really attractive character in that sad puppy that needs a hug sort of way. xd

xD Cant argue with you there, I never noticed him when I watched Stuart Little, but then I saw House, thought this guy was an amazing actor, researched him and saw he was from that movie and I was all O.o...no way. But I found him attractive when I pushed his character aside and watched the interviews he was giving. His personality and his real self is very attractive, but I have to admit the man did not look so good when he was younger and in his 20s O.o he's one of those people that gets better looking as they age...like wine, the older it is the better is tastes :B And just in case some people take that in the more sexual sense, get your mind out of the sewer and into the gutter like the rest of us XD.

But when I saw him at 20 I was all eww...his face sunk in and I saw that the aged look with facial hair really did him some favors. But he is an amazing person none the less, but I do think from what I have seen that House is his most attractive character aside from his real self.

IDK, I can't judge someone from their TV interviews. So since I've never met the man I can't say if I like his personality or not.

That is a good point, though by the looks of things Hugh is nothing like the loser actors we have hear, all hyped up on drugs and of course the scum of the earth that is Paris Hilton. So from what it looks like I would have to say he is rather honest and real in his interviews. He openly admits he has depression and such, and then he is super nice and has a sense of humor. With him its easy to judge by his interviews cause unlike us Americans he is honest ^^ The only thing he ever did wrong was cheat on his wife once, but being separated by an ocean and never seeing them, things get lonely. Yeah it was horrible and he ******** up, but he has not been a repeated loser since xD

Have you ever noticed that he repeats the same things in interviews the exactly same way. There's always a reason behind that, the publicist. Your friendly publicist tells you what to say and when to say it. Interviewers give the same questions that all other interviewers have which is greeted with the exact same response, if it wasn't rehearsed he wouldn't use the exact same words. All I can say about him is he's a good, convincing actor. End of story.

You could also argue that we have actors that seem to be true over here (in the US), Robin Williams, Keanu Reeves, Robert What's-his-buttons (Wilson) from House (and the dead poets society <3), I can't think of anymore at the minute because I'm not that up to date on actors but you get the point.

I suppose that is a good point, they are payed to be fake XD. But I still felt some sincerity when he talked about his own depression and how bad it was. Now if he is pushed to script that then I would be disappointed. But again, we dont know if you are wrong either xD You can never be sure with actors, some have just seemed more sincere to me then others.

While I am sure some things are scripted, I believe some aren't like his depression and the whole question from Inside the Actors Studio of who he felt House should be with XD rather then avoid it he said House would probably sleep through all three of Cameron Cuddy and Wilson, as a joke of course (Not to mention the rest of the interview in general) XD But then he seemed rather open with the idea of House being with Wilson or the whole gays in general. But I'm sure some of that of course comes with being dear friends with a gay man, so of course he is open to it. But I don't think any of that was scripted, since most of the time actors avoid questions of pairings to avoid seeming to be leaning toward one or possibly giving it away. At least Lisa Edelstien avoids for the most part the topic of her and House, but by the sound of it she would like to have them paired on screen xD

But either way, you can never really be sure whether someone is honest or not in interviews, but some opinions on things are too real to be merely publicity. Then there are some that really play a fake persona well and that could hurt a lot of peoples dreams of them being their hero. But I feel it's good to not let Hollywood make you forget that there is humility and real emotions to the actors, but never forget that they are still actors. I mainly feel that way especially after Jason Mraz, singer of The Geek in Pink, openly picked his nose in an interview because that man does not give a s**t what people think about him XD I highly doubt he listens to his publicist very often. xD

But I agree with you for the most part, sometimes they need to be fake and put out what is rehearsed. But I refuse to believe that all famous individuals are like that. And I feel some are more fake and dishonest then others. I consider Hugh more convincing then Paris Hilton...now that b***h is looking for attention and nothing else XD

Hooray cute gay good friends. crying Why oh why did Stephen Fry have to get so fat? crying
Not that that's out of my system... yeah, Hollywood is fake. Paris Hilton... I pay no attention to her so I don't know if she's even a good actor, I don't pay much attention to who is in what movie. And I agree that some actors are more convincing than others. The only way I've found to really tell who Hugh Laurie is would be to read his book. I've found that when you read someone's written work you find a whole lot about the person that you didn't originally know. Which is one reason why I don't let people read my work normally. When you write something it comes from your heart, soul, and other things mind related.

xD Ah being fat doesn't make him any less cute, plus Im sure he could lose it if he wanted to ^^
But yeah I normally don't know actors by names or movies. Only if they are dear to me like Hugh or Forest Whitaker x33. But Paris Hilton does not do anything. She has done modeling, singing and attempt at writing and the only thing she is famous for is her porn tape and being rich....she is a waste of space. But yes, I actually enjoyed him book, but whenever you get a chance to read it I would like to hear your insight on it. Unlike you I cannot see a person by how they write, it would be a nice gift though XD so I would love to hear what you see when you get around to reading it.

As for the aged Stephen Fry... he just doesn't do it for me anymore. He kind of looked gross in his 50th birthday thing. It made me want to cry.

Oh I read it, I just haven't gotten around to buying it yet and I'd like to use quotes from the book when I do give my psychoanalysis of Hugh Laurie from the book. Though it'll probably be a poor one because I'm not that into the psycho dynamic approach to psychology and I'm only a Sophomore psychology student. Hoohay school!

Well I would still like to hear your psychoanalysis sometime then x33 Even if you are a student it's still a valuable opinion and nice that you have something to back up your idea. Sure more schooling is great, but testing out the new knowledge is the fun part x33 I took a class of psychology last semester and in my senior year of high school. But I'm going for animation and massage therapy, but I find psychology a very interesting study and a valuable source of knowledge to have. ^^

I find pysch totally relevant for everything. Especially with the television show House, I mean look at how much Wilson looks into what House is thinking. Look at how many patients House has with neurological problems. The mind is an amazing, interesting thing that's still being explored. Psychology is really interesting.
