"Ah, this?" Charlot shrugged his shoulders, grin refusing to fade. "Nothin', oi was just thinkin' of nonsense."

At her comments on Hazina, he frowned a tiny bit. "Ah, that's gotta be irritatin' for 'er. Nothin' t'piss y'off more than a language barrier." He shook his head, eyes widening a little. "Y'say you're in th'same boat? Coulda fooled me. Y'get on well enough."

"Potatoes?" He laughed. "Y'be right. They're like... hnn," Charlot thought for a bit, trying to figure the best way to describe a spud. "Oi spose a root.. a big, rock shaped root that y'can bake and th'insides turn all mushy.. or boil em or mash em..." [PUT EM IN A STEW..... /dead]

"Good eats, tho." He glanced at her. "Where are y'from?"

"Must be an amusing bit o'nonsense, then. Grin i'n't gone yet." She arched a brow at him and matched the grin with a curl of her own full lips, "Secrets?"

"I c'n imagine. We still managed a fair stumblin' conversation." She laughed softly, shaking her curls and jostling the ball between her hands. The trailer was nearing and she found she didn't want to get there just yet, afraid he'd turn and leave immediately on arrival. Her steps slowed, but she wasn't completely conscious of the choice. It felt good to not be thought... wierd. "Thank you, though I don't know how y'missed m'not knowin' 'dust'." Smile broadening, she shook her head once again as she glanced at the trailers, checking her surroundings.

His description of potatoes seemed right enough, and she glanced at him when he didn't complete the sentence exactly, "So y'eat them?" Nodding slowly, she wondered when she'd get to try these roots.

"London, England." Distracted by the idea of potatoes, she didn't exactly elaborate to explain her lack of common words. "Do they serve them here?"

Charlot nodded, keeping it to himself as he chuckled. "Per'aps."

He was beginning to think Amee was a lot stronger then he at first thought. She was half-tossing the ball between her hands like it wasn't but a few pounds over twenty. Cheeky monkey.

"That's good. Always noice t'get y'points across." As her steps slowed, Charlot unconsciously slowed to match. He didn't know where she lived, but they had arrived in one of the side camps.

"Aye, y'eat 'em. They're really good... keep pretty well, too. Lack flavor, tho." He shrugged his shoulders. "Oi'll 'ave t'find y'one sometime. Oi'm not sure if they're here. Maybe th' cook as'em." He jutted a thumb back toward the other group of trailers. The mess area wasn't what he'd exactly call gourmet, but it was food and relatively hot when served.

"Y'from Lawn-don?" Charlot's eyebrows rose. "Musn't be from th'same time as me or something... m'too. I forget th' exact date but it's damn close t' nineteen 'undred." He grinned.

She laughed at his chuckle and secretive reply, speaking through smiling lips as she did so, "Alright, then, keep y'secrets."

As she said, quite the unpredictable lass, but cheeky monkey works too. She'd like to be juggling this plus two similiar globes at a time later in her act, and even if that was a long time coming, she'd better be able to handle their weight.

"Aye, figure we'll come up with some sort of communication sharin' close quarters, but for now we're well 'nough off." She shrugged, looking from the trailers back to her acquaintance once again.

Potatoes certainly sounded like they were worth a try. She arched her brow at him and smiled mischeviously, "We'll have t'raid the reserves one night, see if we can't cook some ourselves." That certainly sounded like an adventure for adults; stealing potatoes from a circus pantry. The food here was enough, Amee figured, but she had never had truly gourmet food. The idea of traveling out of the Cirque to visit in the most recent world was far too an intimidating journey to take alone. Besides, she had a considerable lack of whatever funds that would be needed. Granted, the five finger discount had worked for her before.

She looked at him when he spoke, amused by the raise of his brow and interest, "You're one of the few that 'ave heard of London, thankfully, but th'time was 2007 when I left it. Spoke to a stagehand from uhm... Gaia? His year was 2007 as well, but... different. I don' know much but... it was different." She gave him a lop-sided smile, balancing the orb in one hand so that she could tuck the other chilled fingers in a pocket of her pants.

Charlot's eyebrow rose, green eyes glinting with equal mischief. Now here was a girl after his own heart- stealing food. He laughed, flicking the brim of his cap back out of his way.

"Stealin' pot'ay'tas?" He gestured with his hands. "Sounds like a roight grand scheme in th' makin'." Potatoes were fairly cheap, well- last time HE checked. The thrill of stealing was what made it fun...

Charlot was amazed that no one Amee had spoken to had ever heard of London. What a travesty. His lip curled slightly, shaking his head. "Nawt 'eard of Lawn-don, tch. Where they been? 'ead stuck inna 'ole?" The last bit was a little confusing, so he simply smiled and nodded.

They'd slowed down to almost a stop and Charlot paused to look around them. "Y'live around 'ere or are we walkin' circles?" He grinned, gesturing to the few trailers still located in the semi-circle. "One'a these yours?"

Hoping that quirk of his brow and bit of laughter was a good thing, she soon joined the laughter with her own chuckle as soon as she realised she wasn't being made fun of.

"S'long as it doesn't get us kicked out of th'Cirque." She fixed him with a playfully serious look as she rolled the globe so that it rested on one hip. Her position in the circus certainly wasn't settled nor particularly permanent just yet, but she doubted they'd leave her in some random world just for stealing potatoes. Unless they were some priceless comodity and she just didn't know it. Oh, Lord, were they? "S'not like we're stealin' gold, aye?" The question was only half-joking.

His incredulous nature after hearing that so few had heard of London, she laughed, "S'now y'know why I apprec'ate y'knowing. Was beginnin' to think I made it all up." The idea that they had their 'head stuck in a hole', however, confused her and her expression showed just that. "'ead stuck inna 'ole?" She mimicked his prononciation of it, just in case it was not what it sounded like on her end.

Looking towards the trailer to her right, she nodded slowly, "Aye, that's th'one, there. I don' want to steal y'badly enough to carry this thing around in circles." She motioned toward the ball after providing him with a steady wink.

"Nah, doubt it would get us kicked out. Just potatoes." Charlot shrugged his shoulders, hands coming out of his pocket to tug his hat off and smooth his hair back. He tilted his head to the side a little at her confusion.

"Hnn... like someone who's not 'eard what day it is cause they been stuck in a 'ole all day. Figure o speech, luv." He returned his hat to his head, gesturing with his hands once they were free. "Like one o' them odd ostree-ches."

He turned to look at her trailer, getting a feel of where they were in relation to where he'd worked before. Ah, he knew where this was. With a smile he nodded, turning back to Amee.

"Noice place." Not wanting to be rid of her company so soon, he offered his hands out. "Oi c'n carry it th'rest of th'way... only fair, eh?" n__n

Figures of speech she felt like she would never understand. They seemed to come from no where! And now he had thrown something else at her. She suddenly felt like she had an idea of what Hazina was going through. Nevertheless, Aemilia laughed brightly at her own confusion, shaking her head and shrugging, "'fraid I d'no what that is, either." She pulled a face, brow furrowed and arched as she tried to sound it out as he had, "Ostree-ches..." Shrugging, she apologised, "I only just discovered ponies a few days ago?"

Just potatoes, however, had sounded good. Meant they were cheap and despensible - the perfect quarry. She grinned devilishly, "We shall hav'ta plan our attack another day."

She watched him look at her trailer, casting a glance back as well to be sure this was indeed her own. Ah, yes, there was the moon carving by the door. That was it's only distinguishing mark from the others around them, that tiny crescent shape. At his voice, she turned her head back so fast that a curl stuck to her lips. Raising her hand to pull it aside, she offered the ball out to him in her free one. "S'pose," she grinned, "Jus' don't drop it and break the stairs." She warned joshingly as she stepped up the short staircase (if two steps count as a whole case) to open the door so he could rush it in if need be.

Trusting thing, she was. He supposed it was half his fault for being friendly and all.. not that he didn't think given the situation Amee wouldn't pick him up like a hand bag and toss him across the circus campsite. But- it would be quite thrilling.

With a smirk to himself, he hefted the orb and followed her up the two stairs. Thankful it was just the duo, he stepped around her and into the dimly lit trailer. Not bad... smelled like girls, which was good. Kinda like Ankita.. she kept everything so nice and ... fresh.

"Where would y'like it, miss?" He murmured, eyes adjusting to the dark quickly as he turned to look back toward Amee.

The trailer was quite plain as neither she nor hazina had had the time to decorate it nor collect much since their arrival. Aemilia had managed to acquire an old vanity with a mirror. Another, slightly smaller metal ball was resting in a corner, between her own bed and the table.

She did trust him, but then again she'd not been given a reason not to trust the people at the Cirque just yet. Perhaps that would be a problem at a later time, but for the time being she considered Charlot to be quite harmless. Perhaps when someone did take advantage from her, it would be quite devastating, but until then... she would let strangers into her trailer.

Waving towards the aforementioned copy of the ball he was carrying, she smiled at him, "Over there with the other is alright." She kept an eye on him incase he needed help and did not close the door, but it was not a conscious decision. Unless she was sleeping, the door was usually left open. She didn't care for enclosed spaces and that little exit made things more bearable. The dimlight was soon noted and, with an unconscious (and unneeded) wave of her hand, she bent the light from the door so that the trailer was brightened considerably. No lights, no candles - she could mooch what light was needed from the doorway and off the reflections of the mirror.

Char walked over to the corner, carefully setting the globe beside it's little brother. When he stood upright again, he popped his back with a happy grunt and sighed.

"Perfect." Turning around, he noticed the little gesture with a curious glance. The room lit up considerably, light reflecting off the mirror and hitting the darkened corners. Interesting. He raised an eyebrow, looking around for a possible source.

"..'ow'd you do that?" The room was cute, plain at the moment... but the difference he supposed was that Ankita had been with the circus longer and had time to acquire the large amount of flair that decorated her trailer.

She watched him back his back with a soft smirk, amused but impressed that he had carried it thus far. She hadn't given him enough credit, that was for sure.

His expression and question caused her own features to change, alerted that he had recognised the change. She had expected the inquiry, but was amused nevertheless. Describing her abilities, or rather showing off, was becoming quite fun whereas before the Cirque such things had been a matter of freedom and capture. "Y'didn't think I would just haul those awkward things about, did you?"

She grinned, reaching out to touch the vanity table which promptly disappeared. The room, unfortunately, darkened a tad as well as the light was no longer reflecting off the mirror, but it was still quite obvious that her fingers were now resting on nothing. Looking at Charlot expectantly, she smiled, "I bend light."

"Not exactly," Charlot replied, eyebrow up as he watched her touch the piece of furniture and cause it to dissapear completely. Whoa... He clapped, smiling. "Pretty damn impressive. S'bending light means y'make things diss-pear?"

He walked over, reaching a hand out to see if it was gone.

The furniture was very much still solid, just... invisible to the naked eye. Living things, if she made them invisible, could still be seen with heat lenses as she was merely bending light around the object, not completely making it disappear. The thing or item still existed. She was no Merlin, only an apprentice.

Smiling somewhat lop-sidedly, she shook her head and removed her hand. Explaining the details was tricky, as she didn't understand them herself, "I bend th'light away. It's still there. If it was hot, you could still feel it's warmth, but just not see it." She shrugged as the vanity returned to it's normal state, and she pointed up at the white streak in her hair as it changed vivdly from one colour to another, "I can also pick which light rays are absorbed. Black is harder to change, since it absorbs it all, whereas white simply reflects it. S'like taking candy from a grubby baby, black is."

Charlot considering himself a pretty clever guy- but this stuff was shorting out his brain. He tried to put it altogether, missing a few pieces here and there. In the end, he smiled and nodded. It was far to complicated to try and dissect, so he accepted it as she said. She made things dissapear, light was involved, and reflecting... something.

"S'amazing skill, Ame. Is tha what y'show's about?" He'd seen how strong she was. Perhaps she'd incorporate both those into a show, or work the side area balancing ten ton orbs in the air. Extreme juggling, they'd call it.
