my very first guitar was a brown gibson les paul special. i know i sound spoiled, but the only reason i got it was because it was given to my dad, but he never played it. so when i started learning, he just gave it to me pretty much.

I took my brothers advice and got an acoustic first so that my fingers would be conditioned to be quicker on electric and I got a Yamaha acoustic, this thing is gigantic and has a really rich sound.

409 in your coffee I took my brothers advice and got an acoustic first so that my fingers would be conditioned to be quicker on electric and I got a Yamaha acoustic, this thing is gigantic and has a really rich sound. After my first guitar broke, I got a Takamine. That thing was BIG. It was so big I had to grow into it (I was something like 10 or 11 years old at the time).
She's got a beautiful tone, though.

My first was an acoustic/electric Esteban {lol.} only because my mom was looking for guitar lessons a year ago, and every place she called said it had to be an acoustic to start. But, when I finally found a place to go, they had you go right to electric, so I started with my brothers OLD Ariana Strat.

depends on what you mean... my first guitar was a nylon harmony but yeah... my first real guitar was a hynda acoustic. its preaty awesome. i've played other acoustics and i like mine alot better. low action, smooth frets and real good sound. the only problem is that the neck is starting to bow so i need to fix it.

I had a steel string Hohner, which wasn't bad for the price. It was actually decent (most Fender acoustic instruments suuuck). Right now the headstock on it is busted off, which I would fix for 30, but the nuts messed up too. sad I can't complain because I have an Ibanez Artcore.
