Naomi chuckled at Akiko’s clown jokes but stopped when Jounochi started heading towards her (Akiko was still standing beside Naomi). “Take one more step and I won’t give you any of my candy.” She said, in a more joking than serious manner. “Besides, you’re scaring Ryou.”
((Gonna try somethin'...))
Yuugi smiled and shook his head. He figured this was going to be a long night. He glanced up at the house, seeing how creepy it was up close. It was defiantly old but he could faintly see curtains in the half moonlight. He caught something and narrowed his eyes a bit, trying to make out what it was. The clouds suddenly uncovered more of the moon and Yuugi saw what appeared to be a person. It was! There was a man standing in the window! “Guys! There’s someone up there!” he stated.

"Ok ok, I'll stop," Joey said. Though he didn't know how Ryou was going to last the night with him there.
Akiko jumped a bit when Yuugi said that. "Huh wha? No way! Don't scare me like that Yuugi-san...." she said in a slight whine. She thought he was kidding- though she though it weird for him to pull a joke like that.
Ryou came out from behind Naomi's back. "Thanks Naomi," he said. He then looked up to see what Yuugi was looking at. "Huh? Did you see someone?" he said in a worried voice.

Naomi smiled at Ryou then looked at Yuugi. “Are you sure?” she asked, looking at the house.
“I’m positive! There’s someone up there.” Yuugi said, pointing up at the window where he saw the man.
Naomi looked at the window but saw nothing. “Sorry dude but I don’t see anyone. Are you sure you’re eyes weren’t playing tricks on you?” she asked. Yuugi sounded so sure that he had saw something but she didn’t see anything.
“I did see someone... and they were looking down at us.” Yuugi said quietly.

Akiko winced at the thought of somebody being up there. She didn't like the idea somebody, possibly psychotic, being up there. "Maybe we should do something else? Like not stay here," Akiko said worryingly.
"Scaredy cat!!!" Joey teased Akiko, "what happened to your brave outgoing attitude?"
"Shut up Joey! Maybe because there might be somebody up there!" Akiko pouted towards him.
"Maybe it was just a weird reflection. I don't know..." Ryou said- trying to be positive. "What do you think Naomi? What should we do?" he asked her.

Naomi was looking up at the house. She was looking at each of the windows, trying to see if anyone was up there but still didn’t see anyone. She looked back at the others. “We can’t back out now! It’s Halloween so maybe Yuugi’s just seeing things.” She bit her bottom lip, looking back at the house. Then started walking up the steps, grabbing her things as she did. “I’m curious so I’m going to check it out.” If no one followed, of course, she wasn’t going to stay. She wasn’t that brave.
Yuugi wanted to believe he’d only been imagining things but knew he’d seen someone. He couldn’t blame Akiko for not wanting to go in the house now. If there was someone up there, they could get in trouble or danger. He didn’t want that for any of them. “That may not be a good idea, Naomi...” he said as Naomi started to the front door of the house.

Jonouchi put his hand to his mouth and snickered lowly. He couldn't resist. He tip-toed behind Naomi, as quietly as possible. He then grabbed her sides and screamed, "BOOOOOO!!!!!!" in an attempt to scare her.
Akiko stared at the windows as well- nothing. She kept telling herself they would be ok. She watched Joey sneak up behind Naomi. Akiko, naively, didn't know what he was doing. His sudden scream scared her as well, she jumped from it and gasped.
Ryou looked at Yuugi and patted him on his shoulder. "It's ok," he said nicely, feeling that he might feel like everyone was against him. He looked over- seeing what Jonouchi was doing. "Er... Naomi," he tried to get her attension- but it was too late.

Naomi was paying so much attention to the house that she didn’t hear Jounochi until he’d grabbed her. She jumped with a shriek, not sure what had just grabbed her. Then it clicked. “Jounochi you freakin’ jerk!” She shouted and hit him on his shoulder.
Yuugi looked up at Ryou, smiling a little. His attention turned to the sudden scream and his first thought had turned to something besides what had was actually happening. He sweatdropped, realizing it was only a prank pulled off by Jounochi.

Joey busted out laughing hysterically. When Naomi punched him in the shoulder he stopped, made a puppy face, and rubbed his shoulder. "Ow," he said playfully.
"Jou! That wasn't funny!" Akiko yelled as she also punched him, though not as hard, in the shoulder. She made a pouting face as she then crossed her arms and looked away from Jonouchi.
Joey then rubbed the shoulder that Akiko punched, "Ehh! So much abuse!"
Ryou laughed a bit at the three of them. The door to the house was open and they were half way in. He looked passed the group to look into the room. Just your typical creppy old house. Suddenly, a book from a shelf fell and slammed onto the ground, making a loud 'thud'. Ryou raised an eyebrow and said, "A book?" He wasn't startled at the sound, he was just confused as he had just watched it suddenly fall.

“No candy for you, mister.” Naomi stated and started walking into the house. She heard the thud and looked at Ryou when he spoke. With flashlight still in hand, she walked into the house, the old floor boards creaking beneath her feet. She went over to the book that had fallen and picked it up, wiping the dust off.
Yuugi laughed, “No offense Jounochi but you kind of had it coming for you.” he said as he came up the stairs to stand on the porch with the others. He looked into the house, seeing that it looked like something out of a horror house movie. It was just as creepy as the outside.

Ryou walked over with Naomi and looked at the book she was now holding. "Incantations and Witchcraft?" he read the title of the book. He looked at Naomi with a weary look. "Either somebody is playing a trick on us, or the person that used to live here was a real looney," Ryou said to her.
"But I love candy...." Jonouchi said. He walked into the house as well, glancing around with Yuugi. "Guess the maid hasn't been around in a while," he said to Yuugi.
"Heheh, looney," Akiko giggled to herself about the word itself. Only she found it funny. She walked over to look at the book as well. Raising an eyebrow, she said, "Wonder if the person here before was like a mad scientist." She couldn't help but smirk at the idea- though she did feel uneasy.

Naomi made an ‘hmm’ sound in her throat. “Either that or someone was into the occult.” She said as she opened the book. The pages had a yellow-tint to them, showing their age. “Curses of the Undead,” She read from one of the pages. “Sounds like necromancy.”
Yuugi nodded, “Yeah.” he agreed. He noted the dust and cobwebs on the sheet covered furniture. He always wondered why people did that – leave furniture in an old house and put sheets over them. “I don’t think anyone has been here in a very long time.”

Akiko made a face, "Ew... they had relationships with dead people?"
"That's necrophillia, Akiko. Not necromancy," Joey sweatdropped and giggled at Akiko's mix up in words.
"Same diiference," Akiko shrugged.
Ryou frowned, "Great, a necromancer.... one with the dead." Ryou still felt uneasy about all this. Suddenly, very loud stomping from the second floor floor, went from one side to the other. Ryou jumped, frantically looking at the ceiling, "Wha... what was that?!"
Akiko almost jumped out of her skin when she heard it. Since Yuugi was the closest to her, she instinctually grabbed onto him in fear. She automatically gasped.

Naomi jumped, nearly dropping the book when she heard the stomping upstairs. “Maybe it’s that guy short-stuff saw.” She said quietly, referring to Yuugi. Now she was a little freaked.
Yuugi jumped slightly and looked up at the ceiling. He looked at Akiko when she suddenly grabbed his arm. His heartbeat sped up a bit and he didn’t know if it was from the stomping footsteps or from Akiko. ‘Wait... she’s just my friend. Why would I think that?’ He thought. “Are you okay?” he asked, seeing that she was scared.

Though Jonouchi was freaked out, he had to joke with Naomi. "Heh, don't pee your pants there Naomi," he said jokingly.
Ryou shook his head slightly, "Jonouchi now isn't the time to kid around." He scanned the area, looking for anybody unusual. He stayed close to Naomi, almost like instinct. Not in a fearful way, and he knew she was probably better at fending herself off then himself, but he did this anyway. He looked at Yuugi, "Did you see the man before clearly? Did you see anything specific about him?"
Akiko's tensed muscles began to gradually relax. She looked at Yuugi but backed away. Akiko nodded, "I'm ok, thanks," she said in a slight tone of embarassment. She just got spoked, she didn't mean to. She could have clung onto somebody else but she didn't. But now wasn't the time to interpret feelings, there was something weird going on. "M... maybe another book fell?" Akiko said, still trying to be positive.

Naomi shook herself from the scare and glared at Jounochi. “Bite me blondie.” She stated.
Yuugi looked from Akiko to Ryou then thought back to the man he saw in the window. “Not really but... I think he had short hair and a mustache maybe?” It had been dark and the man had kept himself mostly hidden.
“Do you think it’s just somebody messing with out heads?” Naomi asked. She kind of hoped it was – because then they could scare them out.
