Resisting the urge to comment on his 'a bit longer' comment she just nodded. If he didn't care enough to bother being careful with his life then it was up to his friends and family to protect him and teach him to value it, as practically a stranger it wasn't her job, nor did she have the right.
A slight frown crossed Miho's face but she shrugged. "I don't have any doubt that I'll eventually end up meeting everyone in our class, but I do think it's highly unlikely that I'll meet everyone in the school. It's just too many people." At his comment about friends she paused, but didn't comment. Most people didn't take well to her saying that she preferred not to make friends. She did have one or two people that if pressured she would admit were friends but as a rule she didn't have them. For, although she'd grown more trusting over her year at Ouran she still thought that letting someone close enough to be a friend was just giving them leverage to hurt you with.
"Hm, I don't know why I do. Maybe it's just who happens to go to the same places I do during lunch or after school before I'm picked up? I've met Wasutori-san and Kimura-san very briefly but other than that I've haven't really met other people in our class other than to recognize their faces."
Miho nodded. She was always one to prefer open spaces to small, cramped ones and that usually meant being outside. There had been one party that her mother had forced her to attend that she had spent most of it out in the rain rather then inside with a bunch of people. Of course she had ended up with a cold and her mother had been furious, but in her mind it had been worth it. "That sounds good."

"It is a lot of people." He agreed. Their own class was enormous, but there were fifteen more classes. Just trying to learn every's name would be enough to drive someone insane. "I don't really know who would want to try to meet everyone." In a class that large, there was probably one person who would know a lot more people than everyone else. But even they wouldn't know everyone. What an impossible task.
He nodded at her explanation as to why. "That would make sense. I don't think I've met this 'Wasutori,' though." He went through his memories quickly, but couldn't find one person he knew by that name. If he had forgotten them, whoever they were, his parents would probably be less than happy with him. ...Or Roka. "Kimura Satu-san? I met him a while ago. Before I even transfered in, actually. I think I've met a lot of people because they usually wander into the labyrinth when I'm relaxing in there." He began leading the way out of the store, opening the door for her politely before again taking the lead. "I know just the place." He said with a smile.

"Hmmm." Miho paused to think for a moment. There was one girl that came to mind who just might try to meet everyone in the school. "Mitsuko-chan might try to meet everyone, it's in her personality to try anyway." She frowned realizing she was assuming that he knew Mitsuko. "Have you met Mitsuko-chan?" Mitsuko was the only person in the school so far that she would call by their first name and that was only after great insistence and stubborness by the other girl.
Well it would make sense there were some people he hadn't met, after all he'd only just met her. "Wasutori Tarii-chan" She nodded "If I remember correctly her family runs restaurants or something of the sort and they're in charge of the school meals?" Bits and pieces of information about important families lingered in her brain from all of her mother's drilling, but she was never sure if the piece of information her brain found was for the right family.
The labyrinth? That caught her attention. She spent a great deal of her time there, even after the unfortunate incident with Toishiro-san. After all she had a feeling he was just as reluctant as she was to have a repeat. "By labyrinth you mean the hedge maze? I spend a lot of my time off in there. I'm suprised we haven't met before. Though, I do go rather deep so not a lot of people go there."
"Alright then." She followed him through the and allowed him to take the lead. "Lead on"

The same girl popped into Katsuo's mind when Miho mentioned Mitsuko. Although there was probably more than one Mitsuko in their school, there was only one girl determined enough to actually attempt such an odd task. "Yeah, we're friends." If he said anything less than that, Mitsuko would probably find him and hug him to death. "We met the day before I came to Ouran."
He placed the name in the back of his mind to make sure he would remember the name when he finally met the girl. He'd already had one problem with recounting names when he needed to, and he wasn't planning to have another one for a long, long time. "Restaurants... So, they're the caterers." He didn't know what else to call them -simple cooks obviously wasn't enough.
Although it was only slight, she seemed to perk up at his mention of the labyrinth. "Yes, the hedge maze. I don't understand why, either. I usually go all the way to the gazebo, but I haven't gone any farther than that. At this point, I can find my way there, but after that, I have no clue where I'm going."
He lead her toward an outside ice cream vendor. It wasn't incredibly hot outside, but warm enough to enjoy a nice cold treat.

A soft chuckle escaped Miho. "Yeah. Though... I think that she probably considers anyone who she's met for more than three seconds and friend" Miho shook her head in amazement. "She's a force of nature, I'm quite sure." She never knew quite what to make of the other girl. It was pretty much impossible to dislike her.
Miho frowned in thought. "I think so at least." Her chuckle was wry. "I'm not really the best person to ask about that kind of stuff though." She shrugged "For some reason that type of information just seems to pass through my brain and not stick at all." Which, if she thought about it, was rather odd, considering her good memory for other facts and things she read in books. Perhaps it was just her minds' way of rebelling against her mother.
She shook off that thought and focused on Katsuo again. "The fact that you can make it that far is rather impressive." Her mouth quirked in a smile "I just seem to have a memory for remembering which ways I turn, so I just have to reverse it to find my way out." Her eyes went thoughtful. "There are some really beautiful places in there."
Miho well blinked in surprise and interest at the vendor. Well, it definitely wasn't like the places her mother usually forced her to eat at while they were out.

Katsuo couldn't help but snicker lightly, although he tried his hardest to stiffle it. "It's true. But I guess that's why she's got such a magnetic attraction. It seems as though she's constantly surrounded by people, no matter when I see her." Which was too bad, because they never got any time alone to even see each other alone, let alone talk.
"Next time I see her, I'll have to ask, just to make sure." Doubtless they'd yet again run into each other in the halls, so maybe this time he could take advantage of the situation. "Yikes. I'm not the best at it, either, but I'm going to have to eventually change that. From what my father has shown me, I'll need to know a ridiculous amount of names." Almost everyone in that ridiculously tall building, at least.
He shrugged slightly, smilling again. "It's practice, really. I've gone in so many times that I can find my bearings from almost anywhere inside it." Maybe he could use that as advice for someone lost in the maze next time he encountered them. Too bad he hadn't thought of it himself, or he might have been able to help Audric without having to lead him all the way out on his own. "Really? I'll have to explore some more, then. Expand my horizons and whatnot."
He led her briskly but calmly toward the man who he knew sold ice cream. It was far from as expensive as his tastes usually were, of course, but it was still good enough. Commoner ice cream was one of those incredibly interesting abnormalities in the world that had to be tried at least once.
