I wouldn't blame her if she didn't, truthfully. I'm about to die without reading materials, and since I refuse to read anything until Blood Noir comes out, I've gone about crazy. I picked up 'A Lick of Frost' even though I've never read any of that series. And I seriously cannot get into it. And I've tried. It's been a boring 60 some odd pages to me.

You really need to start the Merideth Gentry series from the beginning to get into it.

Yea, I thought so too. Normally I would have started on the first book, but I haven't been to a library in ages and probably have huge fine. The Lick of Frost book was one my sister, who's gaian name is Besabasbane >.<, had and brought to my house. I did finish it today though, and there were good parts. Just alot of it was slower than the AB series.

Blood Noir is being released in 2008, and there are no excerpts of it on Laurell's website.
As for the Micah stories, they weren't part of the main series as such, they were a slight spin off. I don't think Blood Noir will be totally about Anita and Jason, perhaps Jason is involved a bit more than the last one. And if they end up shacking up I'll end up not liking Jason as much, I love that he's the one who wants it the baddest from her but doesn't get it. Except that one time. But that was just a figment of our imaginations o.O

They will always have it vague because so many things can change in publishing a book and getting it out there.

Meh, I love Jason..not so much as the vampires, but I like that he's just the friend character. If in the next book he ends up being just another one of her many boy toys then Im going to cry. Anita's character needs to evolve or something. This endless string of guy thing in each of the later books is starting to kill the series for me crying crying

They need to bring Edward in again. He adds a little non-sexual male to the mix (not to mention he brings the BEST toys...). I love Jason, but if the whole book is Anita screwing him, then I give up on this series.

I agree about bringing Edward back in. Or LKH needs to have another book like Obsidian Butterfly where Anita is away from St Louis and her life there.

I'm not going to judge the book until I read it. I like Jason, and unlike Micah, Blood Noiris not going to be novel-lite it's going to be a full sized novel.
Personally I think it'll be cool to get to see more of Jason, he's a great guy!

I would cry but for the fact I am half sated by reading Anne Rice. I have officially started the series. Unfortunately, I'll be lucky if the books last me until January, let alone June. I guess that leaves me plenty of time to review the series, both of them.
