Umm...I sometimes get judged- I wear fairly normal clothes, but I have been called gay for wearing sandals, no matter what the weather is. I hate normal shoes. Oh, and wearing shorts, spring through late fall. But I don't get any serious biases made against me for dressing, just stupid comments. But more importantly, is "biases" a word?

now that is weird, you would get away with that here.
I don't know about that word. Not really an ace at english.

I have an entire set to go with my traditional black trenchcoat. I've got the black scarf, the leather gloves, the steel-toed and steel-heeled boots, and a fedora. What's a fedora? Imagine Carmen Sandiego's hat but smaller. Or, for you Hellsing freaks out there, Alucard's hat but a little smaller and black.

I get called "gay" because I wear jeans and a t-shirt/sweater. Keep in mind that this makes NO sense to me, whatsoever, but ah well. the only reason people call me a satanist is because of a gorgeous pewter pentacle I wear around my neck. Nothing huge, I just like it. A LOT. But, I guess I'm kinda asking for it. Ah well, at least I don't run around yelling "Blessed Be!" everywhere. That just creeps me out...

cool clothing, the hat stlye rocks.
*starts signing Carmen Sandiego theme*
It makes no sense to me why they would call you "gay" either, maybe they are jelous of how you look to them and they are hoping you are for them.

The sweater rocks. I sometimes wear t-shirts, like I said before. Nothing fancy, that's most likely why.

EDIT: Damn edit button...

closest to being judged on religion is my friends parents, a pair of jehovahs witnesses, last year thinking i was evil for my slightly unkempt appearance. and even when they discoverd i was christian at the time, i was episcapalion(sp?), and they allow anyone who wishes to take communion, so they still thought i was evil.

If you don't want to be judged based on what you wear, wear something else. *shrug* Seems easy to me.

we dress in order to not stand out. un;like the amish we don't wear all dark colors or coats with hooks but no buttons, or jackets with no collars, because those things make you stand out.

the whole point is not to call attention to yourself because that would be prideful.

so whatever is popular and most people are wearing is what we wear, unless it is too flashyor expensive.

i just happen to wear a vest. nobody judges that but for the fact that they dont wear one which must mean its not 'in' and im not either, but i wear for habit and formerly for practical purposes(my old one had nine pockets)

I used to be wiccan and I would wear my Pentacle... people at the school would be like, "you can't wear that, you need to take it off." I'd be like, "Take off your cross, then. And while you're at it, why don't we go ahead and take down all the American flags in the building, since visitors from other countries might be offended if they see it."

its like an e-mail i got.
it talks about how they want to remove religios symols from all federal property due to seperation of church and state, then says go ahead and try, with a big picture of arlington cemetery underneath(if you havent seen it, this place has an uncountable number of crosses)

LOL that reminds me of a friend of mine, but im not quite THAT random.
it just"ich bin fritz der rote schildkrote"(i am fritz the red turtle)and"ach nein, er ist der lila und rosa gerpunkt meersweinchen!"(oh no, it is the purple and pink polkadot guinea pig!)are my random phrases. sometimes spur of the moment like that, but usually not.

I used to have a kid call me satanic because I wore black alot in 8th grade... wich confused me because I was very much so NOT .. I'm a nothing realy.. O.o and he would be more satanic then I could ever be ^.^

now a days I have people call me gay because.. well one b.c of ex bf being dumb and me drawing females alot >.<... but come on.. I love guys wayy to much.. plus.. if I was gay.. why would I take offense of being called gay.. and since I'm not... why would it matter? ^.^

My friends know better and I'm normally just way to lazy to try and coordinate my clothes anymore.. also helps that my grandma get all my clothes (we're cheap and she's not.. as long as its not any of those dumb sweaters she seems to get I like it >.<)

just to say.. you shouldnt worry about other people ... you'll end up being a sheep... and they are just way to stupid for my taste (no matter HOW cute!!) ^.^
