too2sweet Queen of the Damned is one of my favorite books, too bad they ruined the movie. I did think that Aaliyah made a good Akasha though. The movie wasn't all that bad. I actually liked it. But I haven't read the book yet. And as with most movies that are based off books, if I had read the book before seeing the movie, I probably would've hated the movie.

If you had never read the book, then the movie would have been ok. But if you ever get a chance to read the book, you'll see what I mean. The movie was almost unrecognizable from the book. The characters had the same names and in the broadest sense they kept the plot, but they left out and changed so much that it was really a waste of a great story.
