I am a singer, choir and other stuff and When I heard HIM I knew if I ever made a band I wanted it to be like HIM. After I started listening to HIM a few years back I met my soul mate and we both love the band, I think the band has influenced me in many ways and it has helped me get through sad but also happy times.
I'd Say Ville Valo is my Idol of sorts, I like his voice, lyrics and the Sut Jacket. I now wear one, not with writing but I wear one all the same.
Edit: I saw them Live at St.Louis this Past tour, I knew every song they sang by heart, good or bad?

H.I.M. Inspires me to write some of my best poetry. They're songs seem to fit with whatever I feel or in situations I am in. When I was dating my last boyfriend for example, I grabbed my CD player and walked out my front door to catch the school bus. I had the Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666 CD in my player. I didn't know that I had stopped the CD last right before Ville sang the line: "No I don't wanna fall in love. This world is always gonna brake your heart." I thought I heard it saying, "And I wanna fall in love. This one is only gonna break your heart." Something snapped in my brain and made me think about what I had just heard. Well, a month later, he dumped me for a chick in Kansas on the internet....Since then I've healed my heart with the songs of all the albums. They've helped alot. I got my best friends into H.I.M. too. They always want to steal my shirts whee . Listening to H.I.M. also helped me to continue playing my guitar.

I think its really kinda sad in a funny sense when you know all the songs so well. I was at the Projekt Revolution tour. H.I.M. took the stage for their short slot of time. The microphone wasn't working well for Ville but I could lip sing all six songs that they played. xd . My mom likes the band too 3nodding .

HIM has reminded me of the beauty that people can create. It's hard to remember that kind of thing in a world where people are constantly killing, fighting, and hating.

But HIM has reminded me of the beauty of humankind with their beautiful, powerful music heart

The lyrics are just so touching to me. Ville's voice is amazing that it makes me want to work on my own voice.

I guess HIM has helped in a couple of situations...but I'm tired of all these 12 years olds saying that HIM saved their lives....pathetic.

you shouldn't judge someone because they said that. sure, its a bit of a drastic situation, but there really could have been a moment in one's life when its gotten so ******** up that they wished to die, and a song might have inspired them to live. (ex. That_Blonde_Juggalette's story; regardless of whether its true or not)

i think that everyone goes through a tough point in their life, no matter how young or old they are, and something is there to remind them that life isn't as sucky as it seems and to keep living. HIM's lyrics are quite inspirational, and i could definitely say that their music has saved some aspect of my life. so maybe HIM never really saved anyone's life. maybe they did. how would you know? you can't make a statement like that based on your own experiences and definitely not based on age, regardless of whether you meant it or not.
anyway, thats not what we're here to discuss. we're here to talk about how HIM's music is influential to each of us, and HIM's music may mean something different to each of us. that's the way it goes with all music.

Alrighty, so I am an artist of sorts and I find myself in some of my most interesting day dreams and artworks come out when I listen to HIM they are so real and their lyrics are something that just about every teenager can understand. I think that it's insanely dumb when people stereotype them as "Emo" or "Metal" or "Gothic" because their music spans across many levels and genres. heart >M<

I Was curious cause I liked the logo, althou I couldnt stand Bam, So I Downloaded a lot of songs and sit down to check em out and the song Burry Me Deep Inside My heart really left a mark on me so i proceded to get Razorblade romance, And Loved it. I Used to be into black Metal and death metal and was familiar to the Finland sound ya know 69eyes, Amorphis, Poison Black, and others.... I consider Him just another Finland Rock n Roll Band, and today i got a Heartagram tatooed in my shoulder
