This is so cool and nice of you!! My husband was born in Germany and lived there for a few years. I would love to learn some simple German sentences.

Im slovenian but I know how to speak german a little(well if I have to I can speak it clearly) than I can read german...understand it to

i only really know what i learned from listening to Rammstein and my friend who's taking german at his school
"du hasst mich" is you hate me
"mein herz brennt" is my heart burns
next is kinda obvious
"Amerika ist wounderbar" is america is wonderful
if i spelled wounderbar wrong i'm sorry i can never remember if there's a u or not
i know a little more, like the do u speak german and what not, but not really much more than that, so i hope i helped someone

I can't spell German worth a flip. I can speak/understand/read it pretty well, though. I lived with family over there for a month. Some phrases I use often (Had to ask my dad to help with spelling):
Ich bin müde. - I am tired.
Es ist kalt draußen! - It's cold outside!
Gute Nacht. - Good night.
Ich bin hungrig/Ich habe Hunger. - I am hungry/I have hunger.
Colaric:: My friend asks me to translate Rammstein for him. o.o;
